Photo Saturday - from Rocky Mountain National Park

Aww....a whole day with no commitments....hmmm....oh my, what to do!   Actually I think I shall spend the day stamping.....about time, huh?  That's my plan anyway, so hopefully I can be motivated and creative!

Have a terrific day!

My favorite from December........  Now I am done with my favorites from 2014 - I think that means I had better get some stamping done in the next few days!

Going to a movie this afternoon and then we have Friday night crafting tonight.  Sounds like a good day to me!

Have a great day.

Thursday, January 15, 2015

One of my favorites from November......

I'm getting to the end of the year showing you my favorites, I think that means I need to get some stamping done :)   Not sure I'm going to get to it today but real soon!   I do need to go get the classroom set up for class tonight and then figure out what is next on the agenda.

Have a great day!

Wednesday, January 14, 2015

My favorite card from October......I love fall, especially the colors so I think that's what I liked about this card.

I need to get some things done around here this morning, but then I have a wool applique class this afternoon and after that I will need to get home and get ready for class here.  A full day!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, January 13, 2015

My favorite card from September - all the stamped images are from SU.

Class this morning and again tonight - that means I have to go get the classroom cleaned up.  I also ran out of ink in the printer last night, so after class I have to go get that so I can finish printing some stuff for the class kits.  It's going to be a busy day.

Have a terrific day!

Monday, January 12, 2015

My favorite card from August - can't go wrong with black and white :)

Play time is over......now it's time to get to work.  But, oh my, we've had such a fun weekend - so sorry to see it end!!!!  But, since card classes start tomorrow I really need to get the kits cut and bagged.  That's the job for today!

Have a great day!

Sunday, January 11, 2015

Project Sunday - an applique project I made for a Christmas gift.  The applique pieces are all wool, but the background on this one is linen.

And we're off for a full day of stitching today - it's Black Sheep Sunday!  It will be fun!  And don't forget  - Go Broncos!

Have a great day.

Photo Saturday - Ouray, Colorado  If you've never been to Ouray when they have the man-made ice for the ice climbers, you really should go.  It is an awesome sight to behold.  This weekend is the big ice climbing events in Ouray, so if you want something to do, go to Ouray - it will be worth it!

We're having fun here in Grand Junction because our friend Sherry is here visiting.  We got lots of stitching and visiting done last night - we stayed up rather late too!  Tonight we're celebrating Christmas and Deb and Emily's birthdays.  So, while Sherry is off visiting another friend for a while I need to get some noodles made and some gifts wrapped.  Fun!  I love weekends like this!

Have a great day!

Friday, January 9, 2015

My favorite card from July.  I love those background stamps and still use them a lot!

Our friend Sherry will be arriving today - yay!  We have such a fun weekend planned.  But, first I need to go to the grocery store and get a few things done around the house before she gets here.  Looking forward to Friday night crafting!

Have a great day!

Thursday, January 8, 2015

Hmmm.....this is the only card I posted in June so I guess it would be my favorite from that month?  I do like it though, it's a fun one!

Cleaning up my mess from yesterday this morning.  Then I need to get ready for an afternoon of stitching at our Wool Gatherer's Club.  Tonight is our Shoebox Club and we'll be celebrating Deb's birthday.  That means that immediately after Wool Gatherer's I need to come home and get dinner started.  It will be a full, but fun day!

Have a terrific day!

Wednesday, January 7, 2015

One of my favorite cards from May.  An old background stamp, some die cut leaves and some prima flowers - can't get much easier, but I liked the way it came together.

Playing catch up today - have to go to the grocery store and finish up some birthday gifts.  I have a feeling those two things will take me most of the day.

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

This card is one of my favorites from April.  I've used this flower/punch from SU a lot since I got it.  (and I will probably use it a lot more too!)  The strips are washi tape - another of my favorite things!

I think I have my class projects under control, which means they are mostly done.  Still have one more project to figure out and some cutting and bagging to do, but hopefully that will get done in the next few days.  Now I have to get the mess cleaned up in the classroom so I can do class tonight!

Have a terrific day!

Monday, January 5, 2015

The card - my favorite card from March.  The background is from SU, stamped with smoky slate on smoky slate card stock.

I got completely sidetracked from working on class projects yesterday - go figure.  Now it's getting down to the wire, class is tomorrow night, so I better concentrate today and get the projects done :)

Have a great day!

Sunday, January 4, 2015

In case you're wondering........I haven't  gotten any stamping done recently, so what you are going to see for a few days are some of my favorite cards from the past year.  This is my favorite one from February 2014.    (stamped images are from SU, colors are kraft and white)

I didn't sleep well last night, so I ended up going back to bed this morning after I had originally gotten up.  So, here it is almost 10 o'clock and I'm barely getting my day started.  I need to work on some class stuff today, so I guess I should try to get started on that :)

Have a wonderful day.

Saturday, January 3, 2015

Photo Saturday - Jeff took this nice winter scene up on the Monument last week.

Time to get some work done - really need to get some class projects done.  Hopefully I can find some creativity somewhere today!

Have a great day!

Friday, January 2, 2015

The card - re-posting my favorite card from January 2014.  The stamped image is from Hero Arts.  The colors are navy and white.

I hope everyone has been enjoying the holiday season! Now that the celebrating is pretty much over I'm ready for spring.....brrr....it's way too cold.    Not a lot happening today - I'm taking a break from any kind of work today :)   But I'm looking forward to our Friday night crafting!

Have a wonderful day!

Wishing you peace, love and happiness in the New Year!

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

Have a safe and happy New Year's Eve!

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.   The snowflakes are stamped with lagoon and smoky slate.  Strips across the bottom are washi tape.

I think it's time to work on getting the Christmas decorations taken down and put away.  I picked up a few new winter/snow decorations yesterday so that might help motivate me to get this stuff in some sort of order.

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, December 29, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  The snowflakes are stamped with indigo, soft sky and smoky slate.  The sentiment is stamped with indigo, punched out and popped up.

Hmmm....I had planned on going to the grocery store first thing this morning.  Now, it looks like I need to go out and shovel snow.  Ugh!   I may put off the grocery shopping.....guess I'll wait and see how the streets are a little later.

Have a great day!

Sunday, December 28, 2014

Project Sunday - wool applique done on linen background - this was another one of my all time favorites

Today is my daughter-in-law Sara's birthday, so we are meeting for brunch later this morning to celebrate.  Then I probably should think about getting the suitcase unpacked and the laundry done.  And maybe even starting to take down the Christmas decorations - we'll see how ambitious I am!

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday, December 27, 2014

Photo Saturday - it was a beautiful white Christmas....

On our way home today - can only hope the snow has been cleared from the roads!

Have a terrific day.

Friday, December 26, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  Snowflakes are stamped with kraft, an added strip of patterned paper, some twine and some bling.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day yesterday.  We had a beautiful white Christmas here in Denver, and it's still snowing.  Brrrr!  Just another day of hanging out.

Have a terrific day!

Thursday, December 25, 2014

Wishing you all
a very
Merry Christmas!

Wednesday, December 24, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  The background is sky, the branches are stamped with indigo.

And we're off on our way to Denver.  We'll be spending the next few days with my daughter-in-law Sara's family on the eastern slope.

Have a safe and happy Christmas Eve.

Tuesday, December 23, 2014

The card - trees are from SU, stamped with smoky slate, punched out and popped up.  Background embossing folder is also from SU.  Colors are white, smoky slate and navy.

Not much happening today.  I need to make another batch of peanut brittle and do the last bit of laundry.  Other than that it's just a matter of figuring out what clothes to pack for our trip to Denver tomorrow.

Have a terrific day!

Monday, December 22, 2014

The card - no stamping on this one.  The snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch and the Peace is a die cut.  A super easy one.

Off to a Dr's appointment, then have a couple of errands to do.   Hopefully I'll find what I need,  but I'm looking for a birthday present for Sara (my daughter-in-law) and a white elephant gift so who knows how long that will take :)

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, December 21, 2014

Project Sunday - a pillow (14 x 28) I finished last week for a gift.  This one has probably been one of my all-time favorites.  Really liked the saying on it!

I'm done with Christmas parties - too much fun!  Now I have a few days to just relax and enjoy the season before we head to Denver for Christmas.  I do have a couple errands left to do but will avoid the mall today and save them for tomorrow.  Probably should think about doing some laundry but  I woke up this morning with a stuffy head and sore throat - so not feeling too ambitious - hoping that goes away :)

Have a great day!

Saturday, December 20, 2014

Photo Saturday -  another one of Jeff's photos - on Grand Mesa

Lots to do this morning.  Since we're going to be spending Christmas in Denver next week with Sara's family we are having our family Christmas here today.  That means I need to get the gifts wrapped and lunch started.

Have a great day!

Friday, December 19, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  The branches are stamped with mossy meadow on the background.  I stamped the pinecones on a seperate piece of white, cut them out and popped them up.  (sorry, they don't show up very well in the photo).

Off this morning for some last minute shopping and then to the grocery store.   Hopefully I can find what I need fairly quickly, because I need to have time today to make some peanut brittle too.  Looking forward to some Friday night crafting with Emily.  (we'll miss you Eileen and Deb :)

Have a great day!

Thursday, December 18, 2014

The card - I stamped a bit of greenery in the background then added the candles on top.  The candles are just strips of embossed cardstock and the top was made by cutting a heart punch in half.  Colors are lagoon and smoky slate.

Christmas Party tonight - that means I need to get my house in order.  I managed to make quite a mess with my sewing yesterday - but, I got all the finished applique pieces made into pillows or framed.  Yay!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, December 17, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  The card and the panel are both kraft, sponged with some white.  The top panel is matted with espresso and popped up.

I never did get any sewing done on Saturday, so now it's a must today.  There's gifts that have to be finished by tomorrow.  So, that's what I'm doing today.

Have a great day!

Tuesday, December 16, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  Colors are soft sky and white.

It's time to get some shopping done - ugh!  Not really in the mood, but the weather is supposed to get bad in the next couple of days so I better get out and get some stuff done while it's not so bad.  I like it better when I know what I'm looking for, but this time it's go look and try to figure out what to buy.  hmmmm....should be interesting.

Have a great day!

Monday, December 15, 2014

The card - tree is from SU.  I stamped the tree several times across the panel, sponged a little white at the bottom and added some snow by stamping  a 'grunge' stamp in white.

So many things to get done this week - I don't even know where to start.   I better figure it out though or I'll end up wasting the whole day - and that would not be good!!!

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, December 14, 2014

Project Sunday - a small framed snowman that I finished last week

Off for a day of stitching ....yay!  It's Black Sheep Sunday and we're having a bit of a Christmas party too so it should be extra fun!

Have a wonderful day!

Photo Saturday - a little night photography from Jeff at Mesa, Colorado

Oh my, today has to be a sewing day.  I have a bunch of stuff that has to be put together - made into pillows, etc.  It's not my favorite part, so I tend to put it off.  But, I need to get them all done, so that's my goal for the day.

Have a great day!

Friday, December 12, 2014

The card - tree is from SU, stamped in smoky slate, punched out and popped up.  Strips of color are washi tape.  Background is soft sky.

Not sure which direction I'm headed today.  So much to do I can't decide which needs to be done first.  Looking forward to our regular Friday night crafting though.

Have a great day!

Thursday, December 11, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  I sponged the smaller panel in the background before stamping the pine stuff.  The pine cones are stamped on a seperate piece of paper, cut out and popped up.

Time to get some stamping done and there's still shopping left to do and gifts to finish making and that dang laundry to finish...... but no Christmas parties for a few more days, so I should be able to get some of this stuff done :)

Have a terrific day!

Wednesday, December 10, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  The strips behind the small panel are washi tape.  The 'presents' are inked with markers, cut out and popped up.

Need to get my house put back together today and get ready for our Shoebox Club Christmas party tonight.  I made quite the mess yesterday making peanut brittle and finishing up some Christmas gifts - and I never did get around to doing the laundry - maybe today :)  But I'm looking forward to tonight, it will be fun, as always!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, December 9, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  Colors are marina mist and smoky slate.  Added a button and some bling.  A quick and simple one.

Today has got to be a 'work' day - laundry, making peanut brittle and finishing up some Christmas gifts for tomorrow night are all things that need to be done today!  I need to be focused :)

Have a great day!

Monday, December 8, 2014

The card - I loved this tree die cut I got when we were at Sherry's.  This was a very quick and easy card :)

So much to do, not enough time!  I don't even know where to start.   We have our Stamp Club with Deb tonight so the first thing I need to do is get the class room cleaned up - after that I'm not sure.  Maybe I'll try to get my errands done today - or maybe I better do the laundry - or maybe I should work on Christmas gifts - argh!   I don't know what the heck to do :)

Have a great day!

Sunday, December 7, 2014

Project Sunday - I finished this snowman sampler this week - well, the stitching is finished - it needs to be made into a pillow or wall hanging - I'm leaning towards making it a pillow.

I made a lot of progress on my Christmas cards yesterday - yay!  They're not finished yet, but they're getting close.  My friend Eileen is coming over today to stitch so hopefully I will make some progress on Christmas gifts!

Have a terrific day!

Saturday, December 6, 2014

Photo Saturday - sharing another one of Jeff's photos - this is on Grand Mesa

Looking forward to a fun (and productive) day - the Good Time Girls are coming today - yay!  I'm planning on working on my Christmas cards and hopefully will get some stamping done for the blog too :)

Have a great day!

Friday, December 5, 2014

The card - snowflake stamps are from SU.  The strips in the center are washi tape and the 'Peace' is a new die cut I bought when I was at our friend Sherry's.

Time to get serious about Christmas gifts and getting Christmas cards done.  Wow , there's not much time left.  So, today I need to get to work - not sure what I will start on, but I must figure out gift things that need to be done or work on Christmas cards - oh, decisions, decisions!

Have a wonderful day!
