The card - stamped images are from SU.  The square with the chair was stamped using a clear block, coloring it with markers, spritzing with water and then stamping.  I really like layout of this card, but it didn't stamp as nicely as I would have liked (the sentiment is crooked too) - I decided to post it anyway hoping you could use the idea :)

My original plan today was to do a bit of clean-up in the yard - however, it's raining so I guess I need to revise my plan.  I know there's plenty to do inside, just need to figure out where to start!

Project Sunday - I finally did this project that I've had for several years.  Have the perfect place to hang it for August.

Didn't get quite as much done yesterday as I had planned - for some reason it is hard for me to focus these days.  Hmmm....not sure what that is all about.  But, what the heck.  Today a friend and I are going to check out the Farmer's Market in Palisade.  I've heard it's a good one and it will be a fun Sunday thing to do!

The card - I stamped the Happy outline, then embossed, then stamped the circles over the top.  The embossing (or debossing) allows the Happy to stay white under the stamping.

The card - more daisies.  I stamped one set full strength and the other one I stamped off to make it a bit lighter.  The strip on the side is patterned paper.  (sorry about the yellow shadow - it's from the scanner).  The flowers are popped up.

The card - more daisies.  I stamped 6 flowers on matching cardstock, punched them out, doubled them up and popped them up.  The jar is a die cut and I added some lines around the edge and stampede some grunge across the bottom to make it look like water.  I stamped the stems on the jar and added some leaves and twine.

The card - I got the embossing folder that goes with this SU set...fun!  You emboss the word, then stamp over it and it leaves the word the color of the background paper (in this case white)  Fun stuff!

Well, I have to say it has been quite the birthday month!  I do love June!  I started celebrating on the first and most appropriately will be ending the month today with just one last celebration!  Judy and I are going to lunch and then who knows what adventures we will have!  But, seriously, I do have the best friends and family ever and I thank you all for a terrific birthday month!  It has been awesome!

Too quiet today since the company left this morning - although I'm having an extra 'Grandma day' since the babysitter is sick.  So the quiet is not as bad as it could be :)  We had such a good time and coming right after vacation I haven't had much reality happening for several weeks.  I think the rest of this week is going to be rather boring!!!

Oops, sorry I missed yesterday - having too much fun celebrating.  Went to see a battleship (the Iowa) on Saturday and on Sunday my cousins and their kids were all here to celebrate my birthday!  It was a great birthday weekend!  Yesterday we went to lunch with more relatives.  It's been a great trip- I love spending time with family!!!!   Today we're going to have lunch on the beach (another birthday celebration) and do a a little shopping.  Life is good!!!!!

Well, today is the first day of June!  Woo hoo!  For those of you who have been following this blog for a while you might remember that my birthday is the middle of June - some of you might be wondering then, why I'm excited about the first of June.  Well.....because it's my BIRTHDAY MONTH!  Yep, I like to stretch that celebrating out just as long as I can.  And it begins tonight - isn't that lucky?   We have our Shoebox Club tonight but instead of doing cards we're celebrating my birthday!  Awesome!  And so it begins....I LOVE Birthday month!!!!!

The care - this card didn't really scan very well....it looks much better in real life :)  It's a simple card, but works well for a sympathy card, I think.  I used an embossed background and then just added a leaf die cut to the smaller panel along with the sentiment.  The small panel is popped up.

Lots of paper work to get done this morning from a Thirty-One party last night.  Thanks, Karen Holt for that great party!  (she had a super group of ladies and ended up getting a ton of free stuff!)  After I get all that organized this afternoon I am going to meet a friend at The Craft Studio downtown and spend a couple of hours knitting!

The card - flower stamp is from SU.  I stamped it in black, matted it with black and then added some black checked ribbon.  The panel is then popped up.  An embossed border down the side adds a bit of decoration and is super simple.

'Grandma time' today and then Friday night crafting.   I've had a bit of baby withdrawal the last few days, but oh my, I've actually gotten some stuff done around here.  I never got around to doing any stamping, but the closets (the ones with clothes) are cleaned out, the garage is straightened up and the lawn is fertilized! Yay!

The card - a nice, easy one.  I embossed the back panel and then just added a punched butterfly and a sentiment.  I stamped the butterfly on some Tim Holtz printed paper in black and then punched it out.
