Photo Sunday - more fire in Colorado.  These  photos (from CDOT) are from the Grizzly Creek fire in Glenwood Canyon.  Thsi is I70, the main corridor thru the mountains - it has been closed for a week now with no estimated time to open.  This fire is much father away from us, (about 100 miles) but the interstate being closed is starting to cause some major issues for the western slope.  Colorado desperately needs some rain!!!!

I'm really going to try and get some stamping done today.  Yesterday I ended up helping a friend get ready for a yard sale, so no stamping happened then!  I'll try again today if I can get myself motivated!

Looking foward to dinner with a friend this evening!

Have a great day!

Photo Saturday - this is a picture taken from the Moument showing the Pine Gulch fire in the distance.  This fire is 18 miles north of Grand Junction and is currently burning over 70,000 acres.  It is the largest active wildfire currently burning in the U.S.

Time to get some yard work done this morning.  Hoping to spend the afternoon stamping - and hopefully being more productive than I was earlier in the week!

Have a wonderful day!

Friday, August 14, 2020

The card - images (SU) are stamped directly on the background panel.  I made a small frame using two die cuts together for the sentiment.  Pretty darn easy!

I gotta admit, I sure haven't been very productive this week!  But that's ok.  Not even sure what I'm going to do today.  Everything in the house and yard seems to be fairly under control at the moment so..........  Looking forward to Friday night crafting tonight though!

Have a terrific day!

Thursday, August 13, 2020

The card - the back panel is die cut and it's  stamped with just a bit of leaves and tiny flowers. The smaller panel is also die cut and it is popped up.  The leaves and tiny flowers are stamped directly on the panel, the bigger flowers are stamped, punched out and popped up.

Need to get a couple of chores done this morning but looking forward to a relaxing afternoon with knitting friends and then an evening of stitching with friends!

The card - the background is a piece of white cardstock - I masked off the corner and then stamped and sponged the area.  The leaves are stamped directly on the background.  The flowers (SU) are stamped in black, then stamped with a grunge stamp to color and then cut out and popped up.

Yesterday was not a real productive day (stamping wise)  - just couldn't seem to get in the groove.  Hopefully today will be better!

Have a great day!

Have a great day!

Friday, August 7, 2020

The card - I love butterflies and have a ton of butterfly stamps - But, I always find more that I want.  A friend gave me this set for my birthday  (I have the best friends!!!).  Most of the butterflies and flowers are stamped directly on the background panel.  I stamped a couple of the small butterflies, punched them out and popped them up for a bit of dimension.

Time to mow the lawn - I put some fertilizer on a couple weeks ago and now the silly grass keeps growing too fast!  Oh well, it's good excercise!  Looking forward to Friday night crafting!

Have a terrific day!

Thursday, August 6, 2020

The card - super simple.  The background is embossed  (SU) and I just added a piece of pre-printed paper (Alexandra-Renke) and matted it with a torn edge die cut panel.  I stamped the sentiment directly on the printed piece.  So quick and easy!

Gosh, I should be without a car more often I guess. I've gotten so much done in the last two days!  Now I'm done (at least for a few days until I make a mess somewhere!)  Looking forward to an afternoon of knitting!

Have a great day!

Another work day - I plan to get the garage cleaned up a bit and/or the utility room straightened up.  The cupboards in there need some serious cleaning out.  Not sure which room to start with.....decisions, decisions!

Time to get the house cleaned, the laundry done and all that good stuff.  My car will be in the shop for the next couple of days so it will be the perfect time to get some work done - I won't be able to go anywhere!  Looking forward to an evening stitching with friends!

Have a super great day!

Monday, August 3, 2020

And this is how I spent the day yesterday.....this is the closet in my spare room/office.  I wish I had taken a before picutre , it was quite the mess.  It had turned into one of those 'little bit of everything' places.  Now all my knitting stuff and my finished applique pieces have an organized home.  Yay!

Not sure what the project for today will be.  Still thinking about it.  Maybe I'll do some stamping....

Have a super great day!

Photo Saturday ....

Kind of dreary and windy outside today.  Kind of matches my mood I guess.  Hudson and I were supposed to be in southern California this weekend - going to the beach, Legoland and having a huge bbq with my cousins!  I was so looking forward to this trip since it's been several years since I've been there and it would have been Hudson's first!  Bummer!  This darn pandemic!  Oh well, I have plenty to be thankful for, just need to wallow for a minute 😞

Hope things are going well for all of you....keep on keeping on!  We will survive all this craziness!

Friday, July 24, 2020

The card - the background is embossed with SU's Old World paper folder.    I used the sunflower die (SU), cut it out, put a piece of patterned paper behind the panel and put the flower back in the cut out.  Finished with some ribbon  and a sentiment.

Kind of at loose ends today.  I'm pretty sure I can find something to do if I try hard enough 😄.  Looking forward to movie night at Hi Fashion tonight....friends, food and stitching - yay!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, July 22, 2020

The card - I stamped the 'thanks' several times on the background and then added the 'friends' at the bottom.  The strip along the side is made by using the 'distress' background stamp (SU) and then cutting a strip from that.  I added a thin strip of silver glitter paper.   I stamped the 'distress' background stamp in another color, then I stamped the butterflies on each one of the background pieces and then punched them out.  (what an easy way to color an image!)  The butterflies are popped up.  Add a bit of bling!

My plan is to spend the day in my stamping room.  Hoping it's a productive day!

Have a terrific day!
