Project Sunday - a winter pillow (I'm keeping this one for myself!) 

It was a beautiful drive over the monument yesterday - can't remember the last time I was up there when there was so much snow!   Today is football day - Jeff is making chili and we're going in to watch the game at their house!  Go Broncos!!!

The card - balloon punch is from Martha Stewart, sentiment is from Paper Inspirations.  I just punched a bunch of balloons from a variety of patterned paper, some are adhered flat, some are popped up.  I drew the strings with a pen. 

Another big day....Jeff & Sara are closing on their house today and...today is Sara's birthday.   The plan is to go out to the new house after closing so Tracy & Tony can see it.....then dinner out for Sara's birthday celebration.  It will be a fun day!

The kids are going skiing today and I'm cooking (again?!!!)  Have to make chicken & noodles for my daughter......... I'm hoping to get a bit of the mess cleaned up in between cooking....it pretty much looks like a cyclone went through here.

The card - snowflakes are from SU.  They are stamped and embossed with white, then I sponged a couple shades of blue over them.  The squares are punched out and popped up. 

I hope everyone had a super day yeserday.  I certainly did.  It was a wonderful time spent with family and friends....lots of food and lots of laughter.....awesome!

Just couldn't resist posting this today.......

Have a few last minute errands to run today......then I can relax and enjoy dinner at Texas Road House tonight, followed by driving around looking at Christmas lights.  Then it will be time to pick up Tracy & Tony at the airport...woo hoo!  Life is Good!

It's looking a lot like Christmas around here now.....we got snow last night....quite a bit of snow actually.  Snow is good.....but......I was planning on doing some shopping and getting some errands done today.....probably isn't going to happen.  I guess I'll regroup and figure out what I can get done that doesn't involve going out on the snowy and icy roads.

Well, my sewing day turned into a shopping day yesterday.....not sure exactly how that happened.  So today I really need to stay home, focus, and get the sewing done!

I ended up going shopping yesterday...didn't make a lot of progress, but I've at least got ideas floating around in my head :)  Even though I was gone most of the day I ended up with quite a mess in my house (I made peanut brittle before I left).  Now I need to get things straightened up because we have our Shoebox Club tonight.....and I have to dig around and find a stamp for our 'ugly stamp exchange'.  Looking forward to a fun evening!

Made good progress on my Christmas cards yesterday....just a bit more assembling to do and they will be done!  Looking forward to an afternoon of stitching at the quilt store today.  But first I have to get something ready to work on so I'm off to figure out what my next project is going to be!

The card class event last night went well.....(that's always a good thing!)  I love my students - they are the  best bunch of ladies!  A big Thank you to all of them for enriching my life!

Project Sunday - this is the Christmas project we did last week in class.  I used a 6 x 6 paper pad from Simple Stories.

Well, the Christmas decorations didn't even make it out of the closet yesterday.  I got a little sidetracked....that seems to happen way too often these days :)  So, I'm off to put on the Christmas music and get those decorations up!

I need a little snow.....it's hard to get motivated to get the Christmas decorations up when the sun is shining and it's 50 degrees outside :)  Not complaining though,  I like the nicer weather!  But I've got to get started on the decorations today, so maybe some Christmas music will help....I'll give it a try anyway.
