The card - background is embossed (SU).  Smaller panel is die cut, matted and popped up.  Small leaves and flowers are stamped directly on the die cut panel, larger flower is stamped, punched out and popped up.

Hoping to get some yard work done today.  Have to wait til it warms up a bit and then jump in before it gets too hot.  It's all in the timing....lol!  I was pretty lazy yesterday, although I did do a couple of errands and then got some knitting done.  So the day wasn't a total bust!

Have a terrific day!

Tuesday, September 29, 2020

The card - the background panel is embossed (SU), then die cut (Penny Black),  and then attached to a colored piece of card stock.  Small panel is die cut (SU), and popped up.  I just added a printed piece, some twine  and a sentiment!  Easy peasy!

I think I must need a day of R & R.  Don't seem to be very motivated to do anything today. Hmmmm....gotta have one of those kind of days once in awhile I guess!  (Hudson and I did have a great day yesterday driving up to Grand Mesa!)

Have a great day!

Monday, September 28, 2020

The card - die cut panel, a bit of grunge stamped on the background, a die cut flower (popped up) and a punched butterfly (popped up.  An added sentiment and a bow of twine.  Easy peasy!

'Grandma time' today.  I think we're going to take a drive up to Grand Mesa to see some color and take some pictures!  That's the plan anyway - although my plans don't always work out lol!    However, yesterday I did get the lawn mowed, some of the yard work done and still did do a bit of stamping and then some weaving!  It was a productive day!

Have a terrific day!

Another photo day - Hudson and I finally got to meet the newest member of the family - Ethan James.   Hudson wasn't too sure about the whole baby thing for awhile, but by the time I left he was 'checking on him' frequently in the bassinet and then helping Daddy change a dirty diaper.

I need to get the lawn mowed today and a bit of other yard work done.  After that I'm hoping to get some stamping done ...or take a nap, whichever appeals at the time!

Have a great day!

The card - same set, different layout.  background is embossed with brick (Tim Holtz)  Smaller panel is die cut (SU)  I stamped the leaf twice directly on the panel and then stamped it again in a different color separately and die cut it and then popped it up.  Two smaller piece are die cut.  Sentiment is stamped on a die cut piece. and popped up.

Running a little late, but great news today - we have a new baby!!!!  A healthy baby boy, born at 3 something am......Dad is exhausted, Mom is doing fine 😅😅😅.  Hudson and I won't get to see him until tomorrow  😞  (darn Covid stuff)  Gotta say, 2020 isn't all bad!!!!

Have a great day!

The card - another one from my new set.  The frame in the background was die cut and popped up.  The leaves, flowers and butterfly were stamped, die cut and then popped up.    I  used a center piece from another set for the center of the flower.

Bought a great rocking chair yesterday AND I ordered a new sofa.  However, after measuring and moving some stuff around I've decided to cancel the order for the safa....it's just too big for my tiny little living room.  Darn!  It was such an awesome sofa too!  Oh well.  The chair is great and is going to be just the thing to rock that baby in!  They're delivering it tomorrow - I'm excited!

Not much happening this morning - I'm being rather lazy.  But I'm looking forward to an afternoon of knitting with friends!

Have a great day!

The card - a new stamp set to play with (SU)  The smaller panel is die cut.  Leaves and flowers are stamped and then die cut and popped up.  Sentiment is also popped up.

I was pretty darn productive yesterday - the lawn is mowed, the house is clean, the garage is straightened up and the laundry is done!  Woo hoo!  Today I am going shopping for a rocking chair!  Have to have a rocking chair when baby is here and I got rid of all 3 of mine!  So, it's going to be a shopping day (well, ok, shopping morning - we are are kind of limited in  furniture stores :(  Looking forward to an evening of stitching with friends!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, September 22, 2020

The card - Panels and frame are die cut (SU)  The leaves are punched out.  The flower was made by first embossing a larger piece of card stock and then I punched the flower (2 lg, 1 small) out of the embossed piece.  I sponged a bit of darker color in the center of the petals and then popped each layer up.  The center of the flower was made by embossing a piece of dark brown with dots and then I punched a circle from that.

Time to clean the house and mow the lawn....maybe!  Not very motivated this morning, but hopefully I can talk myself into it!

Have a great day!

Photo Saturday

I ended up going baby shopping yesterday!  That was fun!  My new grandson will be arriving in just a little over a week and eventually I will need to get some things reorganized.  I had thought I'd start on that today, but since it will be awhile before my day care duties start I've decided to spend the day stamping instead!

Have a terrific day!

Update:  LOL....just got a text from Sara....Hudson is asking for a Grandma day.....now how can I turn that down?  So, guess there won't be any stamping today!  😉

Friday, September 18, 2020

The card - easy one - I used the ferns (SU) around the edge of the card, just stamping them in a variety of fallish colors.  A bit of grunge and some twine!

Absolutely no idea what I'm doing today.  I probably should clean house, but really not motivated.   Looking forward to our Shoebox Club tonight - we're doing calendar toppers.  It's always fun to see what everyone comes up with.

Have a great day!

The card - background is embossed.  Bottom strip is patterned paper.  Sentiment is stamped on a die cut label.  Leaves are die cut and popped up on small square matted die cut.

No more rain today (I hope).  My yard needs to dry out a bit so I can get it mowed.  It's supposed to be a bit warmer today too - thank goodness!  No big plans today, just going with the flow!  Looking forward to Friday night crafting!

Have a great day!

Thursday, September 10, 2020

The card - images (SU) are stamped randomly in the middle of the panel.  Label punch was used for the sentiment which is popped up on top of the images.

Still rainy and cold.  (there goes my plan for mowing the lawn this morning.)  Guess I will clean up the mess I made yesterday - only made the mess, didn't get much accomplished, darn it!   Looking forward to an afternoon relaxing and knitting!

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, September 9, 2020

The card - a really easy one, not much stampin!  The bottom part is patterned paper.  There is a flagged strip across the top of the patterned pice.  The leaves are die cut, the sentiment is stamped and punched out.  A bit of string and a little bling.

Well, my plan was to mow the lawn this morning - not going to happen.  We got a lot of much needed rain yesterday so it's much too wet.  And since I got the house cleaned yesterday and the fall decorations up I have a pretty free day!  Hmmm...I'll see what I can come up with!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, September 8, 2020

The card - The background is three strips, each embossed with a different embossing folder.  Each strip is matted on a plain piece of cardstock and then popped up.  The sentiment is stamped on a die cut label and popped up;  The leaves are stamped, die cut and popped up behind the label.

Time to clean house and hopefully get some fall decor out.  I don't plan to leave the house today - it's cold, it's supposed to rain and there's smoke in the air from the fires in Utah - good day to stay in!!!

Have a great day!

Monday, September 7, 2020

The card - a new die cut border panel (Penny Black).   The pitcher (SU) is stamped directly on the background piece.  The leaves are stamped, die cut and then popped up.  I made a small slit at the top of the pitcher and slipped the stems behind the pitcher.

BBQ at Jeff's today.  Need to get some food prepared and I'm hoping to get the house cleaned before I go - we'll see - I don't feel very motivated this morning!  But maybe after some more caffeine!

Hope you all are enjoying your Labor Day Weekend!

Stay Safe!  Stay Well!

Hope you all are starting a fun weekend!  Stay safe.....stay well!  Have a great day!

Friday, September 4, 2020

The card - more of my favorite leaves! (SU)   I gotta say, this has been one of my favorite stamp sets ever!  I stamped a couple of the leaves directly on the background panel.  The rest are stamped, die cut and then popped up.  The little tiny leaves are die cut from gold  and tucked in.  The sentiment is popped up.  A bit of grunge in the background and some gold twine.

Woke up way too early this morning, but can't go back to sleep so I guess I will get started on my day.  I need to get a batch of birthday cards made for the church, so I think I'll work on that today.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, September 3, 2020

The card - The background is embossed on the top part, leaving the bottom plain.  The small decorative square is a printed piece (Alexandra-Rente) matted on a die cut square and popped up.  I added some ribbon and the sentiment - super easy!

Had great plans for yesterday but only got half done.  (I mowed the lawn, but didn't get the house cleaned.)   But, I did get some stamping done!  Today I need to get the stamping mess cleaned up and then I have a new project I want to start. It's a Swedish Weaving project and I'm excited because I haven't done any for quite a while.  The materials I ordered for the project just came, so now I'm anxious to get started!!!   Looking forward to an evening of stitching with friends!

Have an awesome day!

Tuesday, September 1, 2020

The card - I die cut the leaf  (SU) from the background piece, then die cut another leaf from patterned paper and put the patterned paper leaf in the opening on the panel.  The smaller leaf is die cut and popped up on the edge of the sentiment.  Some added grunge on the background.

Can you believe it's September?   I am so not ready for summer to end.  (well, maybe I'm a little tired of the hundred degree temps) - it's getting dark so much earlier already...ugh!  I actually love fall - the colors, the cooler temps, the decorations - but the pessimist in me knows that winter is coming after fall - ugh!  I'm going to try and just enjoy the fall this year and not think about the coming winter!!!!  LOL - that's a hard one!

Have a terrific day!
