Misc Sunday - more fall color from Grand Mesa

Yesterday turned into a very nice day even with the rain.  I got a little stamping done in the morning.....my mojo is still off cavorting somewhere else though....I'm not being real productive in that area.  We left for Fruita Fall Festival just as it started really dumping the rain....but it only lasted a short while and we enjoyed wandering around the festival, looking at the booths and enjoying the atmosphere.  We had a great dinner and then sat and listened to some nice bluegrass music for an hour or so.  It rained some more just after we got home so that was good timing :)  It's supposed to continue raining today so it's a good day to stay indoors and try to get some more stamping done.    Hopefully I can be productive!

I decided to stay a little closer to home yesterday, but I did go for a nice drive over Grand Mesa.  Awesome fall colors....took a ton of pictures.  I probably should get some stuff done this morning, but I may go for another drive this afternoon if I can figure out a place to go that's close enough :)

Not sure what my plans are for the day.  I started out thinking I might take a little two-day trip to Durango to photograph some fall colors.  However I've heard the colors are not quite at their peak yet, so now I'm not sure what I'm going to do.  Maybe I'll have to get back to work on my list......

My friend Eileen is coming over today and we're hoping to get some stitching stuff done.  Eileen is part of the Good Time Girls, but everyone else is busy this weekend so we are going to have a fun day without them :)

The card - flower is a stamp with matching punch from SU.  I stamped it twice and layered one on top of another for a little more dimension.  The leaves are made by punching the flower with solid green and then cutting off a couple of petals.  Colors are white, black and honey.

Need to get some laundry done today and I'm hoping to multi task and get the fall decorations up too.  I am making progress on 'the list' which is a good thing!

Why did I think making a list was a good idea?  The darn list is just getting longer.....I ended up doing several errands yesterday just picking up things I needed to do something on the list and then I thought of a couple more projects to add to the list.  Yikes!  Ok, so today I'm going to try and actually finish a project on the list so I can mark it off - the list needs to get shorter!

Project Sunday - I finished this beach scene a couple weeks ago.  I did it as a Thank you for my cousin Marleen for taking care of me for two weeks after I got out of the hospital.  I finally got it mailed to her this week!

Today is our Black Sheep Sunday so I will be off to meet Deb for breakfast and then on to a day of stitching!  Yay!

I spent almost the entire day yesterday just taking a drive over Grand Mesa.  It was good to get out and it was a beautiful day.  Took a lot of pictures and just enjoyed the scenery.  Today is one of our stitching groups, so I probably should get a bit of work done around the house and then I can go and enjoy some stitching time this afternoon.

The card - flowers are stamp/punch from SU.  The 'leaves' are made by punching a flower from green and then cutting the 'leaves' from the flower.  I stamped the flower three times with brown on honey and cut out the center and added it to the center of each flower.
