Here is another fun card I made Friday night. Bright colors are not my usual comfort zone, but I really liked this card. Just thought it was a "happy" card!

Got the scrapbook pages done for Tuesday's class yesterday morning and then Deb came over and we stamped in the afternoon. I got my 4th of July cards done - yea!

Have a class tonight and my friend Judy S is taking me out for a birthday dinner before class. Gosh, do I have the best friends or what?

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Isn't this pretty? My sweet friend Sherry gave me this set for my birthday - AND she let me copy her cards too! Now isn't that just too cool? She gave me this Friday night and I used the evening to make several cards with it. I just love to play with new stamps. Thanks Sherry!

Didn't get much done yesterday, but that was ok because I just enjoyed the afternoon visiting with everyone that dropped by. But that means that today I have to get busy and get pages done for class on Tuesday.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

This is a fun card I did a while back but never got a good picture taken of it. I've really been trying to use some stamps that have been lingering on the shelf un-used or that I haven't used in a long time.

Deb, Sherry and I had a very productive stamping experience last night. We all got several cards done and had great fun doing them! Yea - I love nights like that.

I have to get in the scrapbooking mode today as I have pages to put together for class on Tuesday. And I need to get pictures on the pages from last month's class. Yep, I'm behind (again!) So, here's hoping the scrapbook mojo hits in the next hour or so!

Have a great weekend!

I can't believe it's Friday already. Where in the world did this week go?

This card I copied from Deb. She used this layout at Stamp Club. I made a few minor changes and this is the result.

Had a wonderful time last night with Judy. We had a yummy Chinese dinner then went downtown to the Farmer's Market. Bought some sweet cherries and then topped the evening off with some oh so delicious Enstrom's Toffee ice cream. Ooooh - that was to die for! Thanks, Judy, for a great birthday celebration evening!

I'm looking forward to an evening of stamping with friends Deb and Sherry tonight. Now I'm off to do some errands, then come home and clean up the stamping room before they arrive - can't even see the top of the table!

Happy stampin'

Worked on some cards yesterday - thank goodness I got a few done! Love this paper from SU - I just got it and it is very fun to play with.

Having some computer issues this morning which is very frustrating for me. But it seems I figured this one out - it's working so far.

My friend Judy D is taking me out for a birthday dinner tonight - aren't birthdays fun - I'm managing to stretch this one out for 2-3 weeks!

Have a great day!

Another quick & simple card. I was going to play with the embossing folders last night and this is the only card I got finished.

I read an interesting tid bit on a web site last night about the Cuttlebug embossing folders - it said you could use them with a pasta machine. Now I have a pasta machine, but I acutally use it to make pasta so I haven't tried this, but thought I would pass this along if anyone wants to try it!

Enjoy the day!

Another quick card - did this one last night after class. I've really got to take some time to get some more cards done. Or scrapbook pages. Or something! I'm running out of things to post.
I'm still not quite up to par after vacation. Can't seem to get motivated to do the things that need to be done. I just want to do some more fun things. Or go on another vacation. Now wouldn't that be cool! But that's not going to happen so I guess I better get to work. UPS brought a box of new goodies last night so I think I'll go check that out and see what fun things I can find to do with them!
Have a wonderful day!

Good morning! I am moving very slow this morning. I think my head is still on vacation - and my body wants to go back too!

This is a quick card I did last night. Nothing very complicated, but rather pretty I think.

So many things to get done this week I'm not sure what to start with today. I do have class tonight so maybe that will give me a good start to getting back in my "work" groove.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and the new week is off to a great start!

Happy stampin'

Last one! I'm home! I'm already missing being on vacation. We had a very long driving day on Friday - 13 hours. But it made Saturday a pretty short day - we got to Fort Collins by noon. I drove home from Fort Collins this morning. We took a different route home - up thru Reno and Salt Lake. A much better drive than the trip going out even if it was a couple of hours longer. The scenery was ever so much better.

So, now I'm unpacked, watering the lawn and doing laundry. I guess I should work making some cards or something into the mix because I won't have anything to post tomorrow. I did go to the scrapbook store in Fort Collins yesterday so I have a few new goodies to play with. Back to real life!

Hope you're having a great weekend!
Another one - are you tired of seeing pictures of Yosemite yet? I just can not get over how beautiful this place is.

Thursday was our last day in the park. We took a lovely, leisurely raft trip down the river in the morning. It was so relaxing - I wish it would have lasted more than an hour - I wanted to go back and do it all over again. Have what I hope will be some fun pictures, but they are on a disposable camera.

Hello again! I missed posting for a couple of days because the internet in our room was not cooperating. Darn - I missed not being current.

This is a picture of part of Yosemite Valley taken from Glacier Point. Our hotel was located on the left side almost at the bottom of the falls.

Day 5

Another wonderful day! This morning we took a 2 hour tram ride around the Yosemite Valley. Learned lot of interesting things about Yosemite and took lots more pictures!!!

This afternoon we drove up to Glacier Point. You could see the entire valley from up there - wow - it was pretty cool. (pictures of that later - still have to download them) I left Tracy and Jeff up there to hike down - a 4 mile hike. Still waiting for them to show up!

Hope your day has been a happy one!

Day 4 - afternoon

This afternoon we went to Hetch Hetchy and the O'Shaughnessy Dam. More beautiful scenery. You can't believe the number of pictures I've taken already on this trip - I do believe it will turn out to be a record number!!! (well, some of you will believe it!)

When we returned to the Yosemite valley we got a cleaned up and Tracy and Jeff took me to a wonderful birthday dinner at the Ahwahnee. The Ahwahnee is the hotel that Tracy works at and the dining room is very upscale. (not my usual kind of dining experience)

All in all a wonderful day - and a fabulous birthday! Thank you Tracy and Jeff for making it so special!
Day 4 - morning

What a great birthday this has been!
We started the day with the Ansel Adams photography walk. The photographer gave photo tips and led us to some great scenic spots for photos.

Day 3

I can't think of just the right words to describe this place. Awesome just doesn't even begin to do it justice.

We are having a marvelous time. Wish you were here!!!!

This first picture was taken at Tuolumne Meadows - a beautiful area.

The second next 2 pictures were taken at the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. It is difficult to get good pictures of the trees - they are so big they won't fit in the picture. And this tree is one of the small ones.

Sunday, June 15, 2008

Hello from Yosemite National Park. We arrived here around noon today. The scenery changed dramatically once we crossed the state line into California. The remainder of the drive was beautiful.

This is an awesome place. This is a picture of Yosemite Falls which is right across the road from our hotel. Pretty amazing!

More to come....................

Hope you had a wonderful day!

A simple guy card today since it's Father's Day. I think I copied this from the SU catalog.
I'm setting this to post on Sunday so we'll see if it works! I will be on the road - somewhere in Nevada. We should reach Yosemite sometime today!
Have a lovely day!

Saturday, June 14, 2008

Day 1 -This is probably the most exciting thing we saw all day. Driving across Utah and Nevada on Hiway 50 is not the most scenic route to anywhere. The road is very, very straight, and very, very boring. It was exciting just to see another car - and really fun to read the road signs. Forget rest areas - there wasn't any. We're in the swinging town of Tonopah, Nevada. I lost my $20 on the slot machines - should have quit when I was $10 ahead!
Tracy says internet access is very limited at the park, so you may hear from me again and you may not! Stay tuned!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

This is a card I did last month for our Shoebox club. I thought the colors were interesting and I liked the simple layout.

Another birthday dinner last night - wow - am I lucky or what. Sherry & Emily treated me to a great dinner at Dos last night (plus a Starbuck's GC that I can use on my trip!!!) Then we came back to crop - ha! Well, Deb, Sherry and Emily cropped, I sat and talked. Too wound up to concentrate. Thanks guys, it was a wonderful evening even if I didn't get anything done!

So, we're off on our trip to Yosemite today. As soon as I take a shower, pack a few last minute items and load the car. Well, probably wake Jeff up and have him load the car! This is going to be so fun!

I set a post for tomorrow since I will be traveling - we'll see if works! After tomorrow I'm hoping to be able to post some awesome scenery pictures!

Hope you're haivng a wonderful weekend.

Friday, June 13, 2008

I was really into "simple" cards last Friday. A little of the swiss dots, a roller and a greeting - what could be easier?

I'm almost ready to leave on vacation. Tomorrow is the day! A couple of errands this morning (have to get money from the bank, ya know), pack this afternoon and then I will be ready to go.

I will try to post while I am gone - Jeff is taking his laptop, so hopefully you will be seeing some pictures from Yosemite National Park in the coming week.

Happy stampin'

Thursday, June 12, 2008

A fairly simple card - but I really liked the layout.

We went to a new Chinese place last night for dinner - oh yummy - it was great! Bamboo City - the food was fresh, hot and very good!

Card class was a hoot last night - those girls do know how to have a good time.

I seem to be pretty much on schedule this week - isn't that amazing? Today I will get my house cleaned up and the laundry done - all I will have to do tomorrow is a couple of errands and pack. That leaves me free to have play time tomorrow night with Deb, Sherry and Emily. Yea!

Have a wonderful, fun day!

Wednesday, June 11, 2008

Tired of seeing these "swiss dots" yet? I just can't get enough of them - could you tell? I just really like how it adds a little "oomph" to what would otherwise be a very plain card.

Only 2 more days until I leave on vacation - I am getting so excited. I still have a lot to get done - I hope I don't foget to do something important.

My birthday celebration started a little early (my birthday is not until next week) Deb & Pat treated me to dinner last night at Famous Dave's - oh yummy! Celisa brought carrot cake and presents to card class last night - plus one of her husband Jerry's homemade pizzas for me to have today. Oh yum! I love Jerry's pizza. Anyway, it was great fun. I just love birthdays! (well, not the number of them, but the celebration part!) Thanks guys - it was a great night!

Have a fun day!

Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Another sunset. I took this from my front step last week.

Class this morning and again tonight - errands in between. Lots to get done before leaving Saturday!

Got a lot of yard work done yesterday and then had a great time at Stamp Club with Deb last night. She did some awesome cards - thanks Deb!

Enjoy your day.

Monday, June 9, 2008

Another card I did on Friday night. I really thought this one was fun. Sorry the picture is a little out of focus - but you get the idea.

I am doing the "happy dance" today! For those of you who have followed my vacation lodging saga - Tracy called last night and said we now have a room for all 5 nights! (this is a definite improvement over only having a room for the first 3 nights) And.........this room is inside the park - and close to where Tracy is!!!! Oh yea!

Today is a yard work day. (as soon as it warms up a little, anyway) What's up with this "cold" stuff in June? It's down right chilly this morning.

Have a great day!

Sunday, June 8, 2008

This is one of the cards I made Friday night - kind of fun and funky.

Today will be spent getting card kits done for classes this week. Lots of cutting and bagging. I am on a mission this week to get everything caught up, organized, and all the yard work done before I go on vacation!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Saturday, June 7, 2008

This is another layout we did in Scrap Class in May and I just added the pictures.
Deb came over last night and we stamped for about 7 hours - well, there was a little break in there for a yummy Chinese dinner. But we both accomplished a lot - I got 8 cards done! Yipee!
Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Friday, June 6, 2008

Just a simple card today. I didn't add a greeting on this one - I've found I needed a couple of cards lately that weren't "birthday" so decided I would add a greeting to it later if needed.

I worked hard yesterday and managed to get most of the cards done for classes that start next week. Yipee! Well, I still have one more to make and then the cutting and bagging, but still.........

Have a great day!

Thursday, June 5, 2008

Another card with those lovely "swiss dots". I'm trying to use up some scraps of printed paper and this card is the perfect thing for that.

A cold and drizzling day. I'm thinking it's a perfect day to stay indoors and stamp. (I'm not too upset that I can't do yard work today) Or I probably need to start working on cards for classes next week. Hum....... decisions, decisions. As soon as I warm up I'll figure out which direction my day is going.

Have a happy day!

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

This is for Bretina. She keeps saying I post too many cards and not enough scrapbook pages. I keep telling her it's a matter of time - cards are just so much faster to make! This is one of the layouts we did last month in scrap class - I just added the pictures the other day. Thank goodness for scrap class!

Today is errand day - haircut, bank, and other fun stuff. Class again tonight. Another full day.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

This is one of the cards I did on Sunday. I have decided I need to dig out some of my older stamps - I saw this card online and decided to give it a try. Something a little different.

I have a lot of cutting to do today for a class project tomorrow night. Didn't get nearly as much done yesterday as I had planned.

Happy stampin'

Monday, June 2, 2008

This is the layout I did last Friday. Very simple - not sure why it took me all night to do it! I think I take way too many pictures - it takes me longer to figure out which pictures to use than to put the page together.

I had a very productive day yesterday - got the class projects together for tonight and tomorrow night's classes - put pictures on the two layouts from last month's scrapbook class - got three cards done - and went out to dinner with friends! Yea! Wish every day was as productive. Today I have to get Wednesday night's class project finished. Busy, busy, busy!

Have wonderful day!

Sunday, June 1, 2008

Here is another card I did in my flurry of card making a while back. I realized this morning that I'm running out of new things to share - I guess that means I had better get some new things made, huh? I have spent most of my time this week getting projects ready for classes and I haven't taken time to just play. Oh no! Maybe later today after I get the kits ready for tomorrow night's class.

Hope your weekend is going well.
