Trying to do a little cleaning out in my stamp room.....have a ton of cards I've been sorting and they are all over the place now.  Hopefully I can finish that job today.   Our last class on the 'crazy quilt' is tonight...it will be good to finish that project and see what it looks like all put together!

Didn't get to the laundry yesterday....discovered I was out of laundry soap.  By the time I went and got some and did a couple other errands I was too tired even think about the laundry.  So, maybe today.  Have to save some of my energy for class tonight.  Sure wish this cold would just go away!

The card - I copied this card layout from my friend, Kim (thanks Kim!)  Just some printed paper and flowers from Prima with an added sentiment.   Colors are vanilla, black and kraft.

I haven't gotten very far on my paper work that I started at the beginning of the week.....so, today I'm chaining myself to my desk and computer and not leaving until it's done  - or it's time for class - whichever comes first :)

The card - background stamps behind the circles are from SU.  I punched the circles in the white, then laid it on the front of the card and traced the circles lightly with a pencil so I would knnow where to stamp.  The white panel is popped up.  Flowers are from Prima.

A bit of fun today...Judy S and I are going to breakfast and then do a little shopping.  We'll try to stay out of trouble :)  Hopefully I will have some energy left when I get home to do some more paper work and I need to get some stitching done before our hand-piecing class tomorrow.

The card - decided to try my hand at the 'chalkboard' look which seems to be rather popular these days.  Deb had done a card with the technique at stamp club last week and it was kind of fun.  So.....I've seen several different ways to do this, but I just kind of did my own thing.  I rubbed some white craft ink on the black piece first, then just stamped the images in white and drew a border with a white pencil.  Simple enough!   The stamped images are from SU.  Colors are black, marina mist and white.

Sat at the computer most of the day yesterday....decided it was time to get started on paper work for taxes.  Ugh.....not exactly fun, but something that needs to be done.  Thought I would bite the bullet and get it done and out of the way.  So, that's probably what I will be doing for the next several days.  I am meeting a friend for lunch today though, so that will be a nice break.  And then it will be time to get ready for class tonight.

This is pretty much what my table has looked like for the last several days.  I'm calling it 'the aftermath of chaotic creativity' instead of just a big ol' mess.  (this is actually just from yesterday because I cleaned it up on Friday :)  But, I've gotten a lot of stamping done and that is a good thing!  Now today I haven't quite decided whether to clean it up once again, or do some more stamping.  We'll see ........

A full & busy day today - class this morning, then I have to pick up a friend at the airport....we will go to lunch and then have a little time for visiting before we go to a surprise birthday dinner for her grandson.  Then I will have to rush home for my class tonight.  Whew..... busy, but fun!

Project Sunday - this is the project I've been working on for the Crazy Quilt class I'm taking.  It's really been a lot of fun.  In the next class we will be adding a border and stitching it on - then it will be made into a pillow. 

It's snowing....all the snow from before had finally melted, now there's more!  But I shall try not to complain as it is nothing like what they are dealing with in the eastern states.  Spending the afternoon at Laura's for some stitchin' time so I need to get my things together that I want to work on and then it looks like I'll need to shovel some snow before I go.

Project Sunday - this is the Valentine 12 x 12 framed project we did this last week. All of the printed pieces were done in SU's MDS program....I love how you can 'color' the stamps with the new updated version!

Got a little side tracked yesterday...was invited to go to lunch with Jeff & Sara and Sara's parents....couldn't turn that invite down!  So, I still don't have my class projects done for Tuesday.. oops....guess I better get back to work on that today!
