Have a safe and
Happy Halloween!

Thursday, October 30, 2014

The card - leaves are from an old SU set.  The leaves are stamped, sponged, cut out and popped up.

I ended up getting absolutely nothing done yesterday - how the heck did that happen?  I did have a really nice dinner out with Jeff & Sara and Sara's Mom though!  Tonight I'm going out for dinner again with a friend that is visiting from out of town.  That will be fun.  I guess I probably should try to get something done during the day......or not!

Have a great day.

Wednesday, October 29, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  I stamped the images and then punched them out with SU's hexagon punch.  The hexagons are popped up.

Think I will try to get started on class projects today.  Hope I can be productive!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

The card - flower is from SU, stamped with black, colored with copics.  Colors are white and calypso coral.

Not sure what I'm doing today - have some odds and ends of chores that I need to get done so it might be a good day for that.  Then I will need to get ready for class tonight.  Nothing too exciting, but probably enough to keep me busy today!

Have a great day!

Monday, October 27, 2014

The card - stamped image is from SU.  Colors are tangelo and espresso.

Gosh, I had such a good time over the weekend.  A big thank you to Deb for inviting me and to Sherry for being such a wonderful hostess.  I really don't want to return to the 'real world', but I guess I must.   A trip to the grocery store is a top priority since there is not even a slice of bread in the house.  I'll move on from there I guess.

Have a fabulous day!

On our way home today.   What a fun weekend!  Shopping, eating, visiting and especially spending time with friends.  Couldn't ask for more.  The photos are from a new wool shop that has just opened in Windsor - oh my, my credit card took a hit here.  A great place to shop for wool and patterns!

Have a wonderful day!

Photo Saturday - loved this fall display in Johnstown, CO

Having way too much fun here - shopping all day yesterday - oh my, not good for my credit card :)  But an awful lot of fun.  Ended with dinner at Five Guys (yummy!) and then a little stitching while watching the World Series.  A perfect day!  Now, we're off for a little more shopping and then back for some stitching time.

Have a terrific day!

The card - stamped leaves are from an older SU set.  Colors are starfruit, old olive and cajun.

Having a wonderful time with our friend Sherry!  She is such an awesome hostess.  It's been good to get away from home :)

Have a terrific day!

Thursday, October 23, 2014

The card - flower is from SU, leaves are a SU die cut and strip is washi tape.  The flower is stamped in black, colored with copics, cut out and popped up.

Made it to Sherry's safe and sound.  Hit a bit of rain and even a little snow, but all in all a good trip.  Today Sherry has some friends coming over to stitch with us and tonight we'll be cheering the Broncos on!  Feels good to be away from home for a bit :)

Have a terrific day.

Wednesday, October 22, 2014

The card - background splotches are from SU.  Leaf is punched out, distressed and popped up.  Colors are white, smoky slate, bermuda bay and cajun.

And we're off.......well, in a bit.  Deb will be picking me up this afternoon and we'll be off to the eastern slope to see our friend Sherry.  Yay!  So excited.  In the meantime, I need to get my suitcase packed!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

The card - stamped leaf is from SU.  I used an embossing folder for the panel on the left and added some sponging after embossing.

Whew - the closet is finally finished.  Good thing too, because Deb invited me to go to the eastern slope with her to see our friend Sherry and I need to get my act together today in order to be ready to leave tomorrow.  I am so excited!  Haven't been anywhere since the fateful trip to California and I am so looking forward to a bit of vacation - and of course seeing our friend Sherry!  Woo hoo!

Have a terrific day!

Monday, October 20, 2014

The card  - leaves are from SU.  Colors are honey, cajun and meadow.  A simple single layer card.

How about those Broncos?  And Peyton Manning!  It was a great football day yesterday for Denver fans!

Ok, I'm tired of the mess I've made going thru clothes so today I'm going to finish up the closet.  Everything is washed, it just needs to be put away.  I should be able to get  that done today, right?   With any luck I'll have it all done in time to get ready for class tonight :)

Have a great day!

Misc Sunday - more of Grand Mesa  (this angle is called stop in the middle of the road and take a picture thru the windshield)

I keep finding things to do besides dealing with the closet and fall clothes.....nothing exciting, mind you......hmmmm.....maybe I'll just ignore the whole situation and it will magically get done....ha!ha!  Maybe today.....or not!

Have a super fantastic day!

Photo Saturday - Grand Mesa  (at Powderhorn)

Somehow I still haven't gotten the seasonal clothes taken care of and I've been trying for 3 days.  But, I seem to keep getting sidetracked so it still isn't done.  I'm going to try my best to get that done today :)

Have a great day!

Friday, October 17, 2014

The card - flower is from SU.  The flagged piece is popped up on the front panel.  Colors are honey and white.

Need to finish up some chores today and then I can relax and enjoy an evening of stitching with Emily and Deb.  Yay!

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, October 16, 2014

The card - background script stamp and leaves are from Hero Arts, sentiment is from SU.  I stamped the leaves, cut them out and then sponged the edges.  The panel and sentiemtn pieces are also sponged.

I ended up doing errands yesterday, so today I think I better stay home and get some chores done.  I think it's time to put away the summer clothes and dig out some fall stuff.  We've been having some nice fall weather, but it's still quite chilly, especially in the mornings. I should be able to get some chores done before it's time to get ready for class tonight.

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

The card - flower is from SU.  The flower is stamped in black, colored with Copics.  The mat on the front panel is black.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing today.  There's nothing on my calendar and I guess I really hadn't thought about it....I guess I better think of something to do or else the day will go by and I will have accomplished nothing - and that wouldn't really be a good thing :)

Have a terrific day!

Tuesday, October 14, 2014

The card - super simple - a little grunge on the background square, a punched leaf and some washi tape.  Colors are limeade and island indigo.

Class this morning and then again tonight - maybe I can finish up the laundry in between.

Have a fantastic day!

Monday, October 13, 2014

The card - stamped flower is from SU.  I stamped the image in black and colored with Copics.  Ribbon and accent piece are lagoon.

A productive and fun weekend - I stamped all day on Saturday (productive) and stitched all day on Sunday (fun).  Now it's time for laundry, some yard work and stamp club tonight with Deb.  Should be another productive day (I hope) ending with a fun evening :)

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, October 12, 2014

If you would like to see my son Jeff's photographs up close and in person, just go downtown to the Aspen Photo Art Gallery inside Main Street Bagels.  He has over a dozen of his photographs on display in 'the vault' portion of the gallery.  (they will be there through December)  Jeff has also been invited to display his photos at the Denver Photo Art Gallery on Santa Fe Drive.  Woo hoo!

Photo Saturday - more color from Grand Mesa

Whew - what a week!  And it's not over yet.......but I have a fairly free day today so I'm going to spend it stamping - not leaving my stamp room until I have some cards made!

Enjoy your day!

Friday, October 10, 2014

The card - stamped image is from SU.  I punched two circles in the panel, then added some printed paper and a script stamped piece behind the panel.  The panel is popped up.  The stamped image is punched out and popped up also.

Ah... I think I should have some time today to get caught up on a few things.  The week has gone by much too fast and I feel like I've fallen behind.  First item on the agenda is to get my wool room straightened up so we will a place to work tonight - Friday night crafting is always at the top of the list on Fridays. :)

Have a terrific day!

Thursday, October 9, 2014

The card - leaf stamp is from SU.  Stamped in a variety of colors - blackberry, mossy meadow, honey, cajun and lagoon.  Super simple.

Yep, this is where I needed an extra day - tonight is our Shoebox Club.  It's not unusual that I don't have my project done, except for the fact that we're doing calendars this month and coming up with a calendar topper is a bit more involved that just coming up with a card.  Hmmmm.......I may be providing snacks tonight - (long story, but Shoebox Club people will know what that means :)  I have to go get a haircut this morning so I'll have to wait til after that to see what I can come up with.  Yep, an extra day this week would have been perfect!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, October 8, 2014

The card - leaf is from Hero Arts.  I stamped it in three different shades of green and added a button with some twine.

Trying to get caught up today.....need to finish cutting and bagging the class kits and then it will be time to get ready for class tonight.  I think I'm going to need an extra day in this week :)

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

The card - no stamping on this one.  Leaves are punched out of some Tim Holtz paper, crumpled up and popped up on the strip.  I sanded the background a bit after it was embossed just to give it a worn look.  Added some twine and a button.

I'm not sure how going to lunch  ended up being the only thing I got done yesterday.  Well, I did do a couple of errands after lunch, so that was something.  But somehow the rest of the day got by me and I got nothing accomplished.  Now I'm a day behind - and this is a busy week.  Oops.  The plans I had for today are on hold since I now have to finish up the class stuff and clean up the class room before tonight's class.  Hate when that happens :)

Have a terrific day!

Monday, October 6, 2014

The card - leaf stamp is from SU.  The background script stamp on the tag is an old one I found in my drawer.    The leaf is stamped in cajun, everything else is kraft.

I need to finish up my class projects today, but I am going to take a break and go to lunch with a friend I haven't seen in a while.  That will be fun.  I just need to make sure I finish my work when I get back from lunch!

Have a great day!

Sunday, October 5, 2014

Misc Sunday - this old tractor reminded me of my Dad - he's been gone for 17 years and I still miss him and think about him most every day!

Applefest was fun - it was a beautiful day to be outside, I got my fix of junk food and the piece of homemade apple pie (with ice cream, of course) was the best.  It was a good day and we didn't even get into any trouble,  Now it's time to get some work done - I really must get class projects done today so I will work on that and watch a little football this afternoon - Go Broncos!

Have a fabulous day!

Photo Saturday - more color from Grand Mesa

I still haven't finished the class projects and I probably should be working on that today but........Judy S and I are off on an adventure instead.  We're going to head to Cedaredge in a bit and check out their Applefest celebration.  Way more fun than working, right? And I'm really looking forward to all that junk food.  We'll try not to get in too much trouble! :)

Enjoy your day!

Friday, October 3, 2014

The card - leaves are from SU.  The background embossing folder is a new one I picked up at Joann's (I think) - it's from Cuttlebug.  Colors are kraft, cajun, tangelo and honey.

I probably should try and work on class projects today.  First I need to clean off my table in the class room/stamp room and the table in my wool room.  Not sure how both of them ended up being such a mess, but that's the way it is.  I at least have to get the table in the wool room cleaned up before Deb and Emily get here for Friday night crafting! :)

Have a great day!

Thursday, October 2, 2014

The card - I sponged the left side of the front panel with cajun and added some string.  The leaves are a sizzix punch and I crumpled them up a bit before adding them to the card.

Finally.....I was fairly productive yesterday - got the class projects for Tuesday's class done.  Now I need to figure out the rest of the projects for October.  Taking a break from all of that today - it's time for our Wool Gatherer's group so I am looking forward to a afternoon of stitching!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, October 1, 2014

The card - leaf is from an old SU set.  I stamped the leaf on the card front with Cajun.  The leaf on the front panel is inked with honey and then I inked the edges of the stamp with cajun using a sponge.  Colors are cajun, black, kraft and white.

More rain?  Where the heck did that come from?  I guess I haven't been paying much attention to the forecast - didn't realize we were supposed to get more rain!  Since I didn't get any class projects done yesterday I guess it's a good day to stay inside and work on that!  (I did get the laundry done though!)

Have a great day!
