The card - stamped flower image is from SU. I stamped the image on three panels of white and then matted them on a piece of midnight muse and then again on a piece of white. Card is midnight muse. Sentiment is heat embossed in white.
Down to the wire...again! I need to get my projects done for class and since the class is tomorrow night I think I better get that done today!
Enjoy your day!

Project Sunday - this is one of the 'projects' I have been working on the last couple of weeks. When I moved I took the storage pieces from my old stamp room and put what would fit on this end wall of the stamp room/class room. I knew it wasn't going to be my permanent arrangement, but it worked for the moment. I had originally thought I would put cabinets and a counter top along that wall, but I decided to try the cubes from Michael's instead.
There is a total of 21 'cubes' that I put together - whew! I am an expert at putting those things together now - ha ha! But I do like it and they hold a ton of stuff. Every thing that was in the other storage pieces fit in these, plus I think I still have 2 or 3 empty drawers! I would love to have a pretty white filing cabinet so it would all match, but...... I guess I will live with what I have!

Photo Saturday - Grand Mesa
Off for day two of Laura's Spring Fling stitching event. Had a great time yesterday, but oh my, I was exhausted at the end of the day. Learned a lot of fun new techniques ....not sure how many of them I will actually use - a lot of them were very intricate and time consuming, but still, it was a fun day!
Have a wonderful day!

The card - this is the card I did for our Shoebox Club a couple weeks ago. Wood grain background is from SU. I stamped the background with smoky slate on smoky slate cardstock. The sentiment is from Printworks and the flowers are from Prima.
I need to get my stuff together this morning because in just a bit I will be off for day one of a two-day stitching event - Laura's Spring Fling - yay! Looking forward to a fun, informative and productive (I hope) time.
Have a wonderful day!

The card - background stamp is from SU. Triangles are punched from printed paper and popped up. Added some bling and a sentiment.
Aw...the garage is finally done! Whew! Now I just have a gazillion stamps and a whole lot of embellishments to go through and organize. hmmm....maybe later! I have to start thinking about class projects for next week and some birthday gifts that need to be done and oh yes, there's the outside of the house and figuring out what to do with the yard. Since we're supposed to be getting some rain tonight and tomorrow I think I will try to figure out what I'm doing for the birthday gifts first!
Enjoy your day!

The card - flower, leaves and embossing folders are all from SU. The flower is layered with three different flower stamps (with matching punches). Colors are white, kraft, pear and daffodil.
I finally got all those cupboards in the garage cleaned out and organized. Found some missing punches in the process - yay! Now I have to figure out what to do with the stuff that I didn't put back in the cupboards :)
Have a great day!
Monday, March 24, 2014
The card - lots of flowers! The flower is a stamp and matching punch from SU. (I do love those stamps that have matching punches!!!) I cut off about an inch along the front side of the card so the flowers would hang over but would still fit in an envelope. Colors are strawberry, curry and calypso.
I finished putting the storage cubes for the stamp room together yesterday.....and even got them filled up. Now I just need to get the drawers labeled .......the stamps need to be organized, but that is going to be a major job so it will have to wait for a while.
Have a super wonderful day!

Project Sunday - this is a piece that was from a class I took from Laura. It was a 'color class' and meant to get us to use different color threads than the normal 'matchy matchy' (as Laura calls it). I'm pretty much a 'matchy matchy' person so this was out of the box for me. But it was a fun project and I learned that I can do something a little different sometimes!
Spring colds are the the worst....a runny nose and sore throat has turned into a full fledged cold..yuk! Not feeling so great, but trying to keep moving because its only worse if I just sit around. Didn't get any work done in the garage yesterday because it was cold, rainy and dreary most of the day which meant it never got very warm in the garage. So I'm working on putting more storage cubes together in the stamp room. My screwdriver ran out of juice before I could finish so I will work on that this morning and then maybe I can get started on the cupboards in the garage.

Photo Saturday - Grand Mesa
Somehow the day got away from me yesterday and I didn't get much of anything accomplished....not sure how that happened. So, today I'm hoping I can be motivated enough to start working on the storage cupboards in the garage. I really would like to get the garage stuff finished so I can move on to something else :)
Have a great day!

The card - background stamp, flower and leaves are all from SU. The wood grain background is stamped on smoky slate with smoky slate ink. The flower is stamped in black, colored with copic markers.
The main part of the garage is finally cleaned up and mostly organized. I still have lots of stamping/scrapbooking stuff to go through and organize, but at least it's all in one place and accessible if I need it! Now I need to start cleaning out the cupboards - things have just gotten shoved into them pretty much willy nilly and I have no idea what's in there! Who knows what I'll find - could be something fun!
Have a wonderful day.

The card - background stamp and tulips are both from Hero Arts. Colors are basic gray and Island Indigo.
Still working on the garage. I have the main part almost done - as soon as I finish that I will need to clean out all the cupboards and storage areas where stuff just kind of got piled when I moved.
Enjoy your day!
Wednesday, March 19, 2014
The card - flower is from Penny Black. Flower and random leaves are stamped on printed paper, matted with a layer of black on a kraft card.
Back to work on the garage today. I'm beginning to see the 'light at the end of the tunnel" - it's coming together, but still lots of stuff out there to deal with. Good thing I have a big garage and only 1 car :)
Have a great day!
Tuesday, March 18, 2014
The card - stamped images are from SU. The images are stamped in black, colored with copics. The flower is cut out and popped up. Colors are bliss blue, black and wasabi green.
A spur of the moment invite to Jeff & Sara to come to dinner tonight means I need to make a trip to the grocery store this morning. Have no idea what I'm making, so I guess I better figure that out :) Hoping to get a little more work done in the garage this afternoon - I got a bit done yesterday and took a car load of stuff to Goodwill so I did make a little progress.
Enjoy your day!
Monday, March 17, 2014
The card - wood background stamp and flowers are from SU. I stamped the wood background stamp on smoky slate using smoky slate ink. I punched a circle in the center and popped the panel up on the card front.(smoky slate) Flowers are stamped, punched out and popped up on top of die cut leaves. (leaves are basic gray)
All last week my plan was to get some organizing done in the garage - somehow, except for getting some paper sorted, I didn't get much done out there. But, it's a new week, and I don't have as many commitments, so here's hoping I can be really motivated to get that job done this week!
Have a great day.

Project Sunday - a wall hanging I finished last week. 'Simplify' is the goal for me these days!
I had quite a productive day yesterday - got a lot of cards done and enjoyed having part of the Good Time Girls around to keep me motivated! Now I have to get the mess I made cleaned up and hopefully get some work done in the garage.
Have a wonderful day!

Friday, March 14, 2014
The card - flower is from Penny Black. I added the strip of gold paper to front panel and then stamped the flower and the sentiment.
I spent most of the day yesterday sorting 4 containers of patterned paper - whew! Going to try and get a bit more done in the garage this morning and then I have to do a couple of errands this afternoon.
Have a wonderful day!

The card - another super simple one. Background stamp is from Hero Arts. Sentiment is from Printworks, flower is from Prima. Colors are calypso, strawberry and cantaloupe.
I never got around to doing either of the things I had planned on doing yesterday - oh my. I did get my card done for our Shoebox Club tonight though, so that was a good thing. I do plan on trying to get some organizing done in the garage today as soon as it it warms up a bit. Hopefully I'll be more productive that I was yesterday :)
Enjoy your day!

A bit of a late start again this morning. Can't quite seem to get used to the time change yet. Have to decide whether to get some stamping done today or work on getting some of the stamp stuff in the garage organized. Hmmm..... whichever I do I will have to make sure the mess I make is cleaned up in time for class tonight!
Have a great day!

Project Sunday - I didn't make this wool applique project, but I just had to share it. My friend Deb made one of these for Emily, Sherry and I for our Christmas gift. It is just so cool and it looks even better in real life. It is hanging in my wool room where I get to enjoy it every day!
Gosh, it seems like I really slept in this morning - I did sleep a little later than usual, but with the time change the clock makes it even later. Good for me! That will change as the days go by though. The morning will go by really fast but that is ok since I'm looking forward to an entire afternoon of stitching at our Black Sheep gathering today.
Have a super wonderful day!

Photo Saturday - took a drive over Grand Mesa the other day - still lots of snow up there. It wasn't a very good day for photos though, but I did get a few.
Never got around to working on class stuff yesterday - now it's getting down to the wire so I will have to get that done today.
Have a great day!

The card - the flower is made from layering 3 different sizes of flowers punched from red card stock. I scrunched them up a bit too. The sentiment is one I picked up at Hobby Lobby (from Printworks).
Gosh this week has gone by fast! It sure doesn't seem like I've accomplished much. But it's time to start figuring out class projects for classes that start next week so I think I better concentrate on that today.
Have a super day!
Thursday, March 6, 2014
The card - some prima flowers, a punched leaf, a sentiment on a banner and an embossed background (from Hobby Lobby). Pretty darn easy!
I have to get my act together this morning and get something put together to stitch - this afternoon is Wool Gatherer's Club at Hi Fashion and I don't have anything ready to work on.
Enjoy your day!
Wednesday, March 5, 2014
The card - simple and fun. The sentiment is from Printworks (purchased at Hobby Lobby) and the triangles are punched from printed paper with SU's new triangle punch. The mat behind the front panel is Island Indigo.
Not sure what the plan for the day is. Lots of things that need to be done...I just need to figure out where to start. Or, if it turns out to be a nice day I may just go for a drive. I have a brand new lens for my camera that is still in the box and that's not good.
Have a great day!
Tuesday, March 4, 2014
The card - flowers are from SU. I stamped them with wisteria ink on wisteria paper and then punched them out with the matching punch. Splotches are also stamped with wisteria. The sentiment is one I picked up at Hobby Lobby, I believe it's from Printworks.
I really need to get back to work on the classroom - I make an awful mess when I am organizing and I have class tonight so....... I am making progress but I think that room is a going to be an on-going project for quite some time.
Have a super day!
Monday, March 3, 2014
The card - this is the card I did for our Shoebox Club last month. The hexagons are stamps and matching punch from SU. Colors are pool party, pistachio and coastal cabana.
Well, Sherry ended up staying another day - yay! So, we all spent the day yesterday getting more stitching done. What a great weekend we had. Sherry will be leaving this morning to return home and I must get some work done - I need to get the class projects done for tomorrow night!
Have a wonderful day.

Project Sunday - this is the start of a set of small table mats I made for Sherry, Deb and Emily for Christmas/birthday gifts. The mats are 8' and there will eventually be one for each month. These are for January February and March.
What a great weekend! Sherry is supposed to be leaving to go home today, but we're hoping the weather in the mountains is bad enough for her to extend her stay for another day! We'll see - if that happens we are planning to get together for more stitching today! If she ends up leaving I'm going to try and get some work done in the stamp room/class room. (I'm really hoping that she ends up staying today :)
Enjoy your day!
