The card - Emily was kind enough to let us copy some of her class cards at our last get-together. This was one of my favorites. Large butterfly is a diecut, small butterfly is stamped and cut out. This flourish stamp is actually from Papertrey (Emily's used a SU one of course)
OK, enough with the snow already! And we're supposed to get more this afternoon & tonight. Yuk! I need to go to the grocery store so I may have to sneak that in this morning before it starts snowing again.
Happy stampin'

The card - lots of white! I'm trying to get thank you cards done so I'm using a lot of snowmen/snowflakes. Couldn't resist this white on white. The snowman is from a very old SU set (Festive Four) There is a bit on color (baja) on the snowman's scarf and hat.
I really need to get some of my mess cleaned up today. I've flitted from one thing to another the past two days and somehow made a mess in every room in the house. So, I'm going to try and get some things straightened up this morning and maybe work on some class projects this afternoon.
Have a fabulous day!
Monday, December 28, 2009

The card - not much stamping, just some pretty paper & ribbon. Colors are baja and bayou.
Have a lot to get done this week and I'm not sure where to start. Still have to do thank you cards, get started on class projects and finish cleaning up the Christmas decorations. I did finish my calendar project yesterday, so now that's ready to mail. I'm sure I will find something to keep me busy today.
Have a great day!
Sunday, December 27, 2009
Scrappin' Sunday - a layout we did in class and I just had to add the pictures. I do need to add some journaling to that journaling piece in the left-hand corner though.
I'm going to spend the day in my stamp room and try to get thank you cards done! I also need to finish up a gift for my cousins in California (Hi Marleen!) Yep, I'm a little late with that one, but hopefully I can get it finished and in the mail this week.
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend.

Photo Saturday - lights, lights and more lights! This is one of the sights we saw while driving around looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I certainly did. Made a haul with gifts (oh, yes, that's really not the important part is it? But it's fun!) But I thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations with family and friends. We did miss Tracy though.
Now, today I suppose it's time to get the mess cleaned up and think about taking the decorations down. I might be able to talk myself into at least getting started on that! We'll see.............
Have a great weekend!

The card - stamp is from Wandering Words (SU) Printed paper is from Bo-Bunny. Colors are Ruby Red and chocolate.
I think I'm ready - well, I still have to wrap the presents and make a quick trip to the bakery. But, that's it. Dinner out with Jeff & Sara tonight, followed by driving around to look at Christmas lights - it will be fun, we haven't done that in several years.
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve.
Wednesday, December 23, 2009

The card - stamp is from SU - snowman is cut out and popped up. Colors are bayou and baja.
More snow? Yikes - I was just begnning to see a few patches of bare ground in my yard. Hopefully the roads won't be too bad because I have to go to the grocery store today and I also need to finish up my Christmas shopping.
Happy stampin'

I'm taking a play day today! I know, I still have shopping to do, presents to wrap, etc., but........what the heck - it's Christmas. So, Judy S and I are planning a Christmas play day. Who knows where the day will take us - maybe something wild and crazy.
Have a wonderful day!

Had a wonderful time at Sherry's last night - she made the most wonderful dinner - oh yum! A real meal, with real food! We had a great time.
Today I am planning on getting some gifts finished, watch some football (Go Broncos!), finish the laundry and other fun things like that!
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend.
Saturday, December 19, 2009
Photo Saturday - we've been having a lot of fog in the mornings - I took this picture on Thursday - at 9 in the morning the sun was still trying to get through the fog.
Lots of odds and ends to get done today - plus I think it's time to do some laundry! Looking forward to our annual Christmas get-together at Sherry's tonight.
Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Have a wonderful day!
Thursday, December 17, 2009

The card - very, very simple. Stamp is from SU - holly is a punch and I just added some brads.
The card class event went very well last night - thanks ladies for a great time! But, today I'm tired! I think I will just stay home and try to get some work done on Christmas gifts. And maybe take a nap!
Enjoy your day!
Wednesday, December 16, 2009

The card - stamp is Dasher (SU) Colors are not quite navy, sahara sand and white.
Added note: the embossed strip in the middle is a seperate piece - embossed with the cuttlebug embossing folder - the white piece is added to the bottom of the strip, ribbon is tied around the top of the strip and then the whole strip is glued to the card.
Didn't get quite as much done yesterday as I had planned, so I have a lot of stuff to do to get ready for my card class event tonight. So I'm off to set up tables, make food, etc.
Have a great day!
Tuesday, December 15, 2009
The card - very simple - the pine cones are from Autumn Days - Peace is from Hero Arts. Both are stamped with soft suede.
Time to get started preparing for my card class event that I postponed from last week. So, today it's the grocery store, getting some of the food prepared and getting things set up. I have a kindergarten Christmas program to go to tonight. A full day!
Have a great day!
Monday, December 14, 2009
The card - a bit of purple today. Ornaments are from Delightful Decorations (SU) The left one is popped up. Colors are Elegant Eggplant and silver.
Back to work on Christmas projects today. I'm working on a project using the new digital software from SU - it's been fun, but I'm not used to sitting at the computer for hours. I did get my Christmas cards finished and they are ready to be mailed - woo hoo!
Happy stampin'

Friday, December 11, 2009

The card - simple & easy - stamps are from Berry Christmas (SU) Colors are olive and riding hood red. Printed paper is from Bo-Bunny.
Need to do a little more computer stuff today and then I'm going to Emily's to stamp tonight. My goal is to finish up my Chrismtas cards. Then it's on to gifts - dang - it's only 2 weeks until Christmas and I haven't gotten one gift done! Boy, am I behind.
Stay warm! and have a great day!
Thursday, December 10, 2009
The card - stamps are Dasher (SU) and sentiment is Hero Arts. Colors are kraft, suede and olive.
Today - depends on whether I can get the computer to cooperate. Have some digital stuff I need to do but was having trouble last night getting things to work. Guess I'll move on to something else if I can't get it to work today. I may even venture out in the snowy world and try to get some errands done.
Enjoy your day!
Wednesday, December 9, 2009
The card - stamp is from Big on Christmas (SU). Colors are riding hood red and artichoke. I used markers (artichoke & ruby red) to color the letters. Tuesday, December 8, 2009
The card - snowmen stamp is from Holiday lineup. (SU) Colors are kraft and riding hood red.
Snow, snow and more snow! Yikes! It's a blizzard out there. Bad part is - I need to go to the grocery store today - not good. I have to feed over 30 people tomorrow night and I haven't bought the food yet. Oh my! I can only hope that it stops soon and I can get to the store later today. We may have pizza delivered!
Have a wonderful day!
Monday, December 7, 2009
The card - tree stamp is from Just for Fun - embossed in white on kraft. Card is artichoke. I really wasn't crazy about the look after I put the sentiment on, but it was already stuck on there and I didn't want to mess with taking it off.
How did it get to be Monday again already? Geez, the days are going by way too fast. Today I am helping some ladies from church with a memory book for a friend that moved away. Class tonight.
Enjoy your day!
Sunday, December 6, 2009
Scrappin' Sunday - this is a layout we did in scrap class and I just added the pictures. Photos are from our trip to Indiana last spring - this was a visit to the Aquarium.
Today - the wild & crazy bunch are coming to crop today so I have to get the tables cleaned off downstairs. I will be working on cutting and bagging class kits for Wednesday night's class - not much fun, but something that needs to be done - sooner rather than later.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Saturday, December 5, 2009

Photo Saturday - just a nice scenery shot taken on Grand Mesa last week.
Tons of stuff to get done in the next few days, so I guess I'll hope for the ability to focus today and get one or more things crossed off my list of things to do! Judy S is coming over this afternoon, so that will help keep me motivated and productive.
Hope you weekend is off to a great start!
Friday, December 4, 2009
I got a good start on the Christmas decorations yesterday so today I just have to finish up a few areas and that project will be done. Need to run a couple of errands and then I'm hoping to have some stamping time this afternoon. Deb will be here this evening to stamp so that will be fun!

Photo Saturday - this is just one of the pictures I took of Tracy & Tony when we went to Grand Mesa on Tuesday. I think this one is my favorite!
Well, it's back to real life today. I just got back from taking Tracy & Tony to the airport for their trip home. Dang, I always hate it when company leaves (especially when it's one of the kids) The house always seems so much more empty. But I have plenty to do, just need to get myself motivated. So, hopefully I can get myself in gear and be productive today.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Friday, November 27, 2009
The card - Flower stamp is from Happy Harmony (SU) Colors are not quite navy, bashful blue and more mustard. The front flower is cut out and popped up.
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday! I had an absolutely marvelous day - friends, family and food - it was great! And, watching the Broncos finally win after their losing streak was a great ending to a great day!
Today we are heading to Utah - going to the Arches and Canyonlands. Should be fun and a great day for more photos.
Happy stampin'
Wednesday, November 25, 2009
The card - stamped image is Holiday Best (SU) I inked the stamp with markers - soft suede, curry, olive and durango. Card is vanilla, accents are durango.
A lovely day yesterday and 150 photos! (the wonders of digital cameras) Tracy and Tony are going hiking on the Monument today so I am going to take an r & r day. A couple of last minute errands this morning and then who knows - maybe an afternoon spent on the sofa reading.
Have a wonderul day!
Tuesday, November 24, 2009

The card - lots of green! Lots of layers! The image from Verve is embossed in white on old olive. Very simple, but rather striking.
We're going up to Grand Mesa today. It should be a nice day for a drive up and over the top. I'm hoping to get some good pictures that Tracy and Tony can use for their engagement pictures.
Have a great day!
Monday, November 23, 2009

The card - very simple - stamped image is from Holiday Best (SU). I used markers to ink the stamp - suede, curry, olive and durango. Background is a cuttlebug embossing folder.
A few last minute cleaning chores this morning and then I am ready to enjoy my week of 'thanksgiving'. Looking forward to Tracy and Tony's arrival this afternoon.
Enjoy your day!

Scrappin' Sunday - a layout from our trip to California in September. Good thing this will be a week for photos - I've run out of current pictures to scrap! Saturday, November 21, 2009
Today - time to start putting my house in order. Tracy and Tony will be here Monday and the house is pretty much a mess. So..........I guess it's time to do a little cleaning. But Judy S is coming over to stamp this afternoon so I have something fun to do today too!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Friday, November 20, 2009

The card - stamped image is one my friend Judy S brought over for me to play with. I really liked it until I added the background dots - I was trying to cover up some small spots I had smeared. By then, it was too late , I really didn't want to color the whole image again. So....this is what I ended up with! It was fun to color, but I don't think I'd do a lot of these - rather time consuming.
Errands today and lots of odds and ends. Looking forward to stamping with Sherry and Emily tonight though - I hope I can productive and not just 'social'.
Enjoy your day!
Thursday, November 19, 2009
The card - stamped image is from the SU wheel Bright Blessings. Colors are kraft, suede and durango. The background on the kraft piece is a new leaf embossing folder I got from Quick-kutz.
Lots of stuff to do - but I think I better try and get the laundry done today. It's overflowing the basket - oops! And hopefully I can get some work done on December class projects.
Have a great day!

Tuesday, November 17, 2009
The card - I saw this technique called 'brick wall' and thought it looked like it might be fun! This is my attempt - I think the 'bricks' need a little more color, probably should have sponged the edges. I used a piece of Basic grey for the background (bricks) and the stamp is from Hero Arts. I'll try this again, although it's not something I'd make a lot of - it's rather time consuming. If you are interested there is a tutorial on Split Coast Stampers. Monday, November 16, 2009
The card - I did a card like this for card class last month using Christmas paper - decided it would be fun to do one for fall. Paper is from Basic Grey Indian Summer. Diamond is a punch from EK Success.
Today - catch up day. Need to get my room and the class area cleaned up. I got quite a stack of cards done yesterday, but made quite the mess in the process. Class tonight.
Happy stampin'
Sunday, November 15, 2009
Scrappin' Sunday - photos from our day at the aquarium in Cincinati. This was a layout we did in class and I added the pictures.
Yesterday was great fun! I got a lot accomplished. ate too much (the food was so yummy!) and totally enjoyed the company! Thanks girls, for a great day!
Today I am going to finish up some projects and then I think I will try to get some cards made. I really haven't done much stamping lately so I think that will be my focus for the day!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Saturday, November 14, 2009

Photo Saturday - this picture was taken up on Grand Mesa last year. Just a bit of fall colors.
Today will be fun - the wild and crazy bunch (Sue, Eileen and Kelly) are coming to crop! With any luck I will be much more productive than I was yesterday! I need to focus! focus! focus!
Added note: should have posted a winter picture I guess, since it's snowing this morning. I guess fall is almost over and we're seeing the beginning of winter.
Enjoy your weekend!
Friday, November 13, 2009
Oh-oh - Friday the 13th! Actually that has always been a 'good luck' day for me, so we'll hope that continues to be the case. It's bound to be a good day because after running some errands this morning I will be stamping with Judy S this afternoon and then Deb, Sherry and Emily tonight! Yea! I should get lots done, right?
Happy stampin'
