The card - Background is patterned paper.  The smaller panel is die cut from vellum with a mat of white on top.  The flower is stamped, die cut and popped up at the edge of the small panel.  I added a bit of bling.

Saturday quote........

No plans for today.  The Dr said I was walking on my foot too much.....dang!  So, now I have a little knee scooter and I'm supposed to stay off my foot!  Frustrating!    Trying my best, but it is hard!    I find I get up and down too much when I'm stamping, so I guess I will try to get some wool applique projects finished!

The card - I stamped a few flowers on a strip of matching cardstock.  The black scalloped edge is die cut and added under the added strip.  Smaller white panel is die cut with flowers stamped in black and colored with Stampin Blends.    Sentiment piece is die cut with stamped sentiment.

Off to a birthday breakfast with a friend this morning.  Maybe a nap this afternoon 😊 and then class tonight.

The card - background is patterned paper.  I added a bit of grunge to to the background.  I love this new sentiment set that my friend gave me for my birthday - so much fun!  The larger 'thanks' is stamped directly on the patterned paper and then I stamped the smaller 'thanks' on top in a different color.  

Need to hobble around and get a few chores done this morning.  Looking forward to an afternoon of knitting/handwork with friends..  Then I have class tonight.

A quiet day today - planning on spending most of the day stamping.  Celebrating my birthday tonight with dinner with my family at my favorite local hamburger place.  (Munchies in Fruita).  Hamburgers and ice cream - yum!

Well, got my new 'shoe' yesterday.  Turned out a bit better than I thought.  No 'boot' just a 'shoe' and no crutches.  (Yay!)   Supposed to stay off it as much as possible, but can get around the house and get out a bit.  Only for 3 - 6 weeks instead of 6 - 8 weeks - that was definitely good news.  Still will be doing a lot of sitting, so hoping to get a lot of projects done!!!

AND.....it's birthday month - woo hoo!  First birthday dinner tonight!  Fun times ahead!

Well......turns out my foot is broken.  Two fractured bones.  Went and got it x-rayed yesterday.  Have to have it checked by another Dr today and then get fitted for one of those lovely 'boots'.  6-8 weeks with the boot (and maybe crutches).  Not fun - especially for the biggest part of the summer.   Dang!  Ok, thinking positive here - lots of sitting time so maybe I can get lots of stamping, knitting and Swedish Weaving done!   Right???  Being really thankful that it happened AFTER vacation and not before!!!

Geez, I had so many ambitious goals for this morning - but.....I tipped the bench from my table over on my foot last night - ow!   Hurts like heck!  Can hardly walk.  I don't think it's broke so will give it another day and hope it gets better!   Luckily it doesn't hurt so bad when I'm sitting down so hoping to still be able to meet with our handwork group this afternoon!

Vacation is over!  (insert sad face here!)   What a great week!  But I missed the boys and will be glad to see them tomorrow.  Today it's time to unpack, do the laundry and mow the lawn.
