When witches go riding
and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs
and whispers
HAPPY
HALLOWEEN!
My room is pretty much back together now. The stamps are in some sort of order and we'll see how it works on a daily basis. Looking forward to an afternoon of stamping with Judy S!
Happy stampin'
The card - medallion is from Day of Graditude (SU). Because I don't have this stamp set I printed this on vanilla card stock on the computer using MDS from SU and then cut it out. The sentiment is from Papertrey. Colors are vanilla and pear. The piece at the top is embossed with a quickutz embossing folder.I got a little carried away with my cleaning up efforts yesterday - I ended up trying to sort and re-arrange a lot of stamp sets. Now I think I have a bigger mess than what I started with. I've pretty much decided that 1) I'm too anal 2) I have way too many stamps and 3) there's just no way to effectively arrange a lot of different sizes and shapes of clear stamps! So today I will try to get the mess straightened back up and hopefully I will be able to find everything I've moved to a different place!
Have a wonderful day!
The card - leaf is from SU, sentiment from A Muse. I inked the leaf with cajun, then sponged a bit of espresso on the edges before stamping. I used a leaf wheel (SU) on the strips. Colors are espresso, kraft, and cajun - ribbon is mustard.
I'm feeling the need to get my room cleaned up a bit before moving on to more projects. Can't seem to find anything and there's stuff everywhere. So, I'll get things reoragnized and then it's back to work on class projects.
Have a great day!
The card - dug out an old pumpkin stamp for this one (I have no idea what company it's from), sentiment is Inkadinkado. Colored strips are chocolate, cajun, pumpkin and peach. The strip with the pumpkins is popped up.
A make-up card class this morning and then class again tonight. Breakfast with Judy S and Diane before class this morning - yea! That's a treat for me - I love going out for breakfast and it's something I rarely do.
Happy stampin'
The card - another 'guy card'. Sponged the top part with pumpkin and curry. Colored the grass with a copic marker. Trees are stamped in black. Background is quickutz embossing folder.
I have a whole list of things to get done this week so I guess I should get started. (I might have to add 'building an ark' to my list if it keeps raining for many more days!)
Have a wonderful day!
Looking forward to a day of stamping - Judy S is coming over this afternoon so that will be fun! (and maybe I can actually get something accomplished instead of just talking about it!!)
Have a wonderful day!
Photo Saturday - stopped down by the river the other day when I was out doing errands. A little surprised that the colors haven't changed as much as I thought they would have by now. But still got some nice photos of the area.
Catching up today - need to get some things finished and then it's time to get to work on class projects.
Have a great day!

The card - stamped images are from SU - paper is Basic Grey. A pretty simple Halloween card.
I really wish I'd taken the time to do my errands yesterday - but since I didn't, I have to go out in the wet, dreary weather today. Ugh. Looking forward to our regular Friday night stamping - hopefully I can be productive!
Have a wonderful day.

The card - a digital card today. I just downloaded this stamp set for MDS (SU) the other day and decided I'd try it on a card. I printed out the background, then printed the leaves, cut them out, popped them up and added the ribbon. Can't really tell that it's not stamped. Colors are espresso, kraft and cajun.
Deb got me inspired last night at stamp club so I am going to get some stamping done today. I just could not stay focused yesterday and ended up not accomplishing much of anything. Today will be better I hope!
Happy stampin'
The card - needed to do some 'guy cards' for church so I was trying to find ideas that would work. Ran across this one and decided to give it a try. The tree stamp is from SU (good ol' Lovely as a Tree). The middle section is masked off, then sponged with marina mist and old olive. Trees are stamped with espresso. Bottom edge is done with SU embossing folder.
Have some paper work to get done today, then I'm hoping to have some time to get some stamping done! I'm looking forward to stamp club with Deb tonight!
Have a great day!
The card - Halloween is getting closer! This is another card I did with Judy's stamp. Same colors as the other one, just a different layout.
The last two weeks I have had a bad case of CRS (can't remember stuff - that's the clean version) So I think today I need to get my house picked up (I still haven't finished unpacking my suitcase), the laundry done and all the other good old household chores. I'm hoping if I have my house in order my brain will go along! Here's hoping anyway. Class tonight.
Have a wonderful day!
The wedding was held at this lovely home of freinds of Tracy & Tony's. The yard was beautiful although we thought the trees would have been a little more colorful, it didn't really matter. It was a great place for a wedding. Jeff, Sara & I were privileged to be house guests here - it was great! Ben & Becca were great hosts!
The Bride - what else can I say. I was a little teary at some parts of the day but restrained myself from sobbing :) I got to help her get dressed and found myself a little teary as I was doing up the buttons on her dress! And of course there were parts of the ceremony that left me a little teary! But Tracy was oh so beautiful and the ceremony was awesome. They did a great job planning the wedding!
The happy couple. I am so happy for them both. Tony is a great guy and I'm glad he's now 'officially' a part of our family!
The card - leaves are from SU - stamped and embossed with gold on rust, then cut out. Colors are rust, chocolate and mustard.
Errands this morning - a trip to the grocery store is a must! Then I'm hoping to get some stamping done - it feels like it's been forever, so I need to get back in the groove.
Have a wonderful day!
The card - Deb did a card like this at our stamp club last month using Halloween paper - I liked the idea so I decided to try it with some fall paper. This paper is a line from Basic Grey. Just strips of paper glued to white piece, then cut with the top note die. Simple and easy! Card is dusty durango and espresso.
I'm having a hard time getting back to 'real life'. Kept thinking yesterday was Monday, forgot to meet the girls from class for dinner and can't seem to focus on what needs to be done. Good thing I had things fairly well organized before I left or I would really be in bad shape :) Tonight is our Shoebox Club so I have a bit of work to finish up on my project and then I can re-group and figure our what else needs to be done!
Have a wonderful day!
The card - stamps are from Papertrey. Colors are olive and peach. Background is embossing folder from Quickutz. I'm back! Oh. My. Goodness. What a wonderful week! We just got back last night and the whole week is just a blur right now so I don't really have my thoughts together very well. But I will say the wedding was absolutely wonderful!!! Tracy was a beautiful bride and wore the biggest smile the entire day! (Tony seemed to have a bit more of pre-wedding jitters, but Tracy was about the calmest bride I have ever seen) Everything went perfect - no glitches at all! Awesome wedding, great fun and I loved being the mother-of-the-bride (Tracy's friend Jessica spoiled me the entire day!) You will hear more later (my class students will probably be bored to death hearing about the details). Oh, and pictures.......the photographer took over 1000 photos - now those I can hardly wait to see! I hope I have something on my camera I can show you soon though. My friend Judy S had a special song waiting to play in the car on the way home from the airport - an old song titled 'mother-in-law' by Ernie K-Doe - too funny! Only Judy would think of something like that! Gotta love it!
So, now I have to try and get myself together enough for lunch with a friend and then class tonight.
Scrappin Sunday - when I was looking for a scrapbook page to post today I realized I had never posted this layout of Tracy & Tony's engagement pictures. So I guess today is a good day for them! These are some of the pictures I took when Tracy & Tony were here for Thanksgiving last year.
Today is the big day! (10.10.10)Never having been the mother-of-the-bride before it should be an interesting experience! I am so excited for Tracy! It will be a fabulous day, I'm sure!
Enjoy your day.

Photo Saturday - a bit of fall color on Grand Mesa.
A busy day today. This morning we will be sitting up and decorating for the wedding. This afternoon includes a trip to the Air Force museum, then rehearsal, dinner and then a get-together at a local watering hole (King's Table Bar & Grill). Maybe a little pool?? (haven't played pool for years, but I just might have to give it a try!)
Have a wonderful day!

The card - floral stamp is Stampendous. Background stamp is Limited Edition. (stamped with Crumb Cake) Card is espresso, accents are olive. Flowers are colored with olive & peach markers.
Today I will be helping Tracy get ready for a get-together tonight. (I think my help is going to consist of cleaning her house) Everyone is invited to stop by their house this evening as they arrive in town for a bite to eat, games and hanging out. Sounds like fun to me!
Happy stampin'

The card - pumpkins are from Unity. I stamped them with cajun on some distressed paper from Kaiser Craft. Background is a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I inked the inside of the folder to make the words stand out a bit more.
We're on our way to Ohio! Yea! I hope I haven't forgotten anything important. (don't you always fell like that when you travel? I do!) We will arrive this afternoon (we have a 3 hour layover in Denver - yuk!), go to the place we are staying, then meet up with Tracy and Tony for dinner.
Have a great day!

The card - a really simple one today. Card is vanilla, strips are dusty durango and chocolate. Leaf is stamped with dusty durango, cut out and popped up.
A few last minute details to attend to today (mostly things I forgot to do the other day) and then all I have to do is pack my suitcase. Woo hoo! I'll be setting up posts for each of the days that I will be gone, so you won't miss me too much!
Happy stampin'

The card - leaf stamp is from Papertrey, saying is Penny Black. Colors are sahara sand, black and marina mist.
Time to get the laundry done and figure out exactly what clothes I will need to pack. If I can get myself organized today all I will have left to do tomorrow is pack my suitcase. Class tonight.
Have a fabulous day!
The card - stamped image is from Stampers Anonomous (Tim Holtz) Colors are expresso and kraft. Twine is from Papertrey.
Only 3 days left to get myself organized before we leave for Ohio. Can't believe it's almost here! Have a few errands to do this morning and then class tonight. Somewhere in between I need to figure out what else needs to be done in the next few days.
Have a great day!
Scrappin' Sunday - a really old layout - this one just makes me laugh (in a good way!) Judy D and I were just driving around town one day taking pictures to scrapbook (the millinium, ya know!) There was a guy set up in a parking lot selling pumpkins and we decided it would make a good photo op - I'm sure the guy thought we were really crazy posing for pictures on his pumpkins. It was great fun! The pumpkins are die cuts, the scarecrow is paper pieced (check out that tye-die shirt!) Good times!
