I ended up having a lovely day yesterday - went to lunch with a friend and then we came back here and stitched all afternoon while watching the new show 'Bridgerton' on Netflix!  Love days like that!    (and I got a cupboard cleaned out and reorganized before I left - yay!)

So, today I plan on taking the snowmen and winter decorations down.  I usually leave them up through February but I am tired of looking at them this year - in the mood for something different!!!

Crafty Saturday - starting a new project....a wool applique Christmas table mat.  

Got started on cleaning out a couple of storage cupboards the other day.....ended up mostly making a mess.  Hoping to get back to that project today and getting a couple of cupboards cleaned out and re-organized!

The card - the background is embossed.  Patterned paper is cut to fit the die cut scalloped piece, then those pieces are matted twice and attached to the embossed panel.  The sentiment is stamped and die cut.  (this card is a good way to use up scraps of patterned paper!)

'Grandma time' with Ethan today.  Looking forward to a nice relaxing day full of baby snuggles!  Tonight will be crafting with friends!  Yay!

The card - background is embossed with a strip of patterned paper down the left side.  The flower (SU) is stamped twice, once with green and then again with pink.  Then I cut the flowers apart from the stems and attached the pink flowers to the green stem.  The saying is a die cut, the sentiment at the bottom is stamped on a die cut and popped up.. 

No big plans today - thinking about doing some chores around the house.  Cupboards that need to be cleaned out, etc.

I sure haven't been very motivated this week.  Feels like I'm just killing time, although I did spend some time in the stamp room yesterday and was fairly productive.  Probably will do the same today.  I need to find some kind of new project to get excited about!!!

No big plans for today.  We did get the spaces behind all the appliances cleaned yesterday  - woo hoo!   That felt good!  I'm thinking maybe I might get some stamping done today - we'll see!

Crafty Saturday - finished this wool applique this week.  I need to find a frame for it and then it will be ready to hang up at Christmas - I am ahead of the game on this one!!!

Jeff and the boys are coming over later this morning to put a new bed (for me) in my spare room/office.  Then while they're here I'm going to have Jeff move the refrigerator,the stove and the washer and dryer so I can clean behind them - it's been way too long!  That's my only goal for the day!

No 'Grandma day' today.  Sara has the day off since it's a holiday.  There's been another positive Covid test in Hudson's class so they're trying to get him in for another test today or tomorrow.  I will probably have him the rest of the week so I probably should get my chores done today!

Crafty Saturday - and the 'other hat' is done!  Yay!  Jeff was excited that it fit!  (me too!)  So, now the whole family has matching hats!  LOL!   Glad that is done - now I can move on to other projects.

I've been fairly productive the last few days - woo hoo!  Now it's time to  clean up the mess and regroup.  Need to take photos of cards and get some things organized.  Looking forward to an evening stitching (or in my case, knitting!)  with friends!

The card - right side is stamped with a background stamp.  Leaves are stamped directly on the background piece.  The flowers are stamped with black and then I stamped over the flowers with a grunge stamp to 'color' them.  Flowers are cut out and popped up. 

Going to try for another stamping day today.  I have quite a lot of free time this week so hopefully I can use it well and be productive!

The card - an easy one using patterned paper.  I die cut the rectangle out of the paper, matted the cut piece and then just popped it up where I had cut it out so the pattern lined up.  So easy!

Crafty Sunday - the beginning of another hat - Jeff's hat was too big, so now I'm starting  one that will fit better. (I hope) Sara liked the bigger one so eventually the whole family will have matching hats 😂

Didn't get much stamping done yesterday - made a big mess and got 1 card done.  I borrowed some new stamps from my friend Emily, so here's hoping that will get me more motivated and I'll have better luck today!
