Photo Saturday - Glenwood Canyon - it was such a pretty drive through the canyon last Friday even though it was rather cloudy.
No plans for today - uh oh - so who knows where the day will lead.
Have a wonderful day!

The card - something a little different. Stamp is from Unity. I stamped and embossed the white images first, then sponged the background with artichoke, pear, and daffodil. Then I stamped the dark images with artichoke. Card is kraft, mats are suede and white.
Back to work on class projects. Got some done yesterday but then got stuck and lost my creativity. Dang. So, back to the drawing board. Looking forward to Friday night stamping with Deb and Emily tonight. Even if I'm not real productive I will get to hear all about the SU convention they just attended!
Have a great day!

The card - background stamp is from Unity, flower is from SU, sentiment is Inkadinkado. Flower is cut out and popped up. Just simple black and white.
Working on class projects today. I had planned on getting some more yard work done, but with the rain, plus the fact that I watered yesterday I think I would be playing in the mud. So, guess the yard work will be postponed for another day - what a shame!
Happy stampin'!
The card - stamped image is from Stampendous. I stamped the image in black, colored it with markers and then used the embossing folder (SU). Colors are black, kraft and white. (image is colored with daffodil, pretty in pink, peach & olive)
Yard work today - that is if it doesn't start raining - looks a little cloudy and dreary out right now, but it will be nice for yard work as long as it doesn't rain. (although that wouldn't hurt my feelings any!)
Have a wonderful day!

The card - floral stamp is from Unity - sentiment is SU. Embossed background is Tim Holtz embossing folder. Colors are kraft and vanilla. Thought this would make a nice wedding card.
I had planned on doing some more yard work this morning, but since it rained it might be a bit muddy. Guess I'll have to check it out - gosh it would be a shame if I had to postpone the yard work (ha! ha!). I need to start working on class projects for next week so I do have a alternate plan. Class tonight.
Have a wonderful day!
The card - flower stamp is from Stampendous - colored with daffodil, marina mist and pear. This is one of the stamps that just jumped into my basket during our shopping spree at Archiver's in Denver. It's so funky and different - just had to have it!
Yard work today - I've put it off way too long, now the weeds and grass are almost as tall as the rose bushes. Oops! So, I'm off to get started while the temp is below 100.
Happy stampin'
Need to get some chores done this morning and then maybe some stamping time this afternoon.
Happy Scrappin'
Oh gosh, what a great two day get-away! Such fun! We spent two days eating and shopping and eating and shopping and more eating and shopping! (and lots of laughing too!) And getting to spend a few hours with Tracy on Thursday was wonderful! Don't have much to show for all the eating (except pictures of the places we ate & a few extra pounds), but I do have quite a nice stash of new stamps and a few other goodies. So I think I'm going to spend the weekend playing with some of my new stuff.
Have a great day!

The card - more quick and easy. Floral image is from Unity - embossed in white. Butterfly is Martha Stewart punch. Colors are white and Marina Mist.
Shopping in Denver today. It's so sad that all of the local scrapbook and stamp stores have closed - there used to be so many and now there are none. Oh well, I guess we'll have to make do with Archiver's. We'll be heading home this afternoon.
Enjoy your day!
Judy S and I off on an adventure today. We're taking a road trip to Fort Collins/Denver. I'm excited - it's been over 2 years since I've been to Fort Collins and Denver. We'll be making a stop at a great scrapbook store in Fort Collins - The Treasure Box. It's good timing all the way around since Tracy is there and will have the afternoon free before heading back to Ohio. So, scrapbook store shopping and spending some time with Tracy - life is very good!
Have a wonderful day!

The card - stamped images are SU (Watercolor Trio) Colors are Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait. Embossed strip is a Tim Holtz embossing folder.
Wishing all my SU demo friends a safe trip to the SU Convention. Have fun! and I will anxiously await your return so I can see all the fun new stuff!
Have a great day!

The card - flower stamp is from Unity, sentiment is Papertrey. Printed paper is 7 Gypsies. Embellishment on twill is Tim Holtz. Label shapes are nestabilities. Colors are kraft and black.
OK, it's time to turn down the heat! The past several days of 100+ temps are getting to me. Kind of zaps my energy level. I hear a 'cold' front is coming through later in the week - yea! Today my list of things to do include a little yard work before it gets too hot and then getting ready for class tonight.
Have a great day!
Scrappin' Sunday - another 'oldie'. This was my first experience at an In-n-out Burger! As you can tell the pictures are certainly not the focus of this page. I copied the logo, enlarged it and then cut it all out (by hand, no less) Saying HI! to Tracy's friend, Dawn. Gotta tell a rather funny story here - Tracy is in Fort Collins this week at a Church of the Brethren National Youth Conference. (so close, yet so far away!) She runs into her friend Dawn (that she knows from MacPherson College) and it turns out that Dawn reads my blog! Dawn is a teacher and works with my friend Deb's Mom (Hi Deb's Mom!) in Kansas. So, she found my blog from Deb's blog and then realized I was Tracy's Mom. Too funny! What a small world!
Have a wonderful day!
Today - a bit of yard work this morning and then I need to get myself organized for tomorrow's crop day. Stamping with Emily tonight. Life is good!
Have a wonderful day.
The card - marina mist and pear pizzazz - loving this color combo! Stamped images are from papertrey.
More yard work today - didn't get quite as much done yesterday as I planned - the heat got to me after only a couple of hours. So....it's back out there again today and hopefully I can finish trimming the bushes before it hits 100! Class tonight.
Happy stampin'
I am trying to talk myself into going out and getting some yard work done this morning - we'll see. Class tonight.
Have a fabulous day!

The card - stamped images are from SU. The card is Daffodil - flower is also daffodil. (I'm liking this new yellow from SU!) The accent mat is navy - ribbon is old olive.
Today - class this morning and again tonight. Who knows what in-between. I did get a lot accomplished yesterday - cleaned up and re-organized two file cabinets of paper - found some cool stuff I forgot I even had! What fun is that!
Happy stampin'
The card - flower stamps are from Unity - sentiment is from Daisy Bucket. Background flowers are stamped with Marina Mist, white flowers are embossed with white. Colors are Marina Mist and Kraft.
Today - um..let's see. I really need to do some yard work, but I am just not in the mood. So I am going to get my class stuff finished up, finish the laundry and do some organizing in my room.
Enjoy your day!

Scrappin Sunday - another 'oldie, but goodie'. These mosaic layouts were quite popular for a while. I did this page in 2001. They were a bit time consuming - cutting all those 1 inch squares and getting them lined up straight was quite the adventure. But an interesting look when finished.
I had quite the card making marathon yesterday - spent the entire day in my room - played with a lot of the new SU colors and got several cards done. Yea! Now today it's time to clean up the mess and get kits cut and bagged for classes this coming week.
Hope you are having a great weekend!
Photo Saturday - sunrise this morning. (just a few minutes ago actually)
Today - I am going to spend the day stamping. That's the plan anyway. My creativeness (is that a word?) has been missing this week and I am feeling the need to put something together that I actually like. So......we'll see what happens.
A new reader ask the other day what camera I use. My main camera is a Canon Powershot S5IS. I have a Canon PowerShot SD880 Elph that I carry in my purse. Both take great pictures and I have been happy with both cameras. But..........I still want a Canon Rebel XSI........I had a Canon Rebel film camera and loved it, just haven't had the extra cash to buy a digital one!
Have a wonderful day!
The card - flower is from SU (Because I Care). Image is stamped in black, flower is colored with Brocade Blue, leaves are olive. The flower is cut out and popped up. Background is sizzix (Tim Holtz) embossing folder.
Today - um.....not sure what my plan is for today. Lots to do, just not sure what I'm in the mood for. Guess I'll figure it out after a little more caffeine. (or not) I know I'm looking forward to our Friday night get-together - hopefully I will be more productive than last week!
Happy stampin'

The card - flower stamp is from SU. I stamped it twice, once on the kraft and then again on white. I colored the flower stamped on white, cut it out and popped it up. (it's colored with Hydrangea Blue Copic marker) Background printed paper is from 7 Gypsies.
A few errands this morning (including getting a haircut) and then I am hoping to get inspired and get my card done for Shoebox tomorrow night. (wouldn't that be something - I'd be a day ahead!)
Have a great day!

Photo Saturday - sunset picture taken at Country Jam last weekend.
Grocery shopping today - need to get the stuff for our BBQ tomorrow and hopefully get a head start on some food preparation. Maybe some time for a little stamping too! (that would be good since Sherry is the only one that got anything done last night - Deb & I ended up sitting and chatting the whole time!)
Hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start!
The card - flower is from Hero Arts - stamped on printed paper, cut out and popped up. Sentiment is from Papertrey. Grass is from A Muse. Printed paper is Basic Grey.
Great projects and a lot of laughs at Stamp Club last night - Thanks, Sherry! Today - errands, household chores, getting class projects finished up for next week and the best part - stamping with friends tonight.
Have a great day!
The card - stamped images are from Papertrey. Label shape is from nestabilities. I've had this card done for a while but couldn't find the right size of black buttons - finally found some in Delta (go figure!)
Well I've put it off long enough - today I really must get some yard work done! I do have Stamp Club with Sherry to look forward to tonight though - so there will be something fun today!
Happy stampin'
