I've discovered that hanging out with sick people is not good for your health!  Most of Sara's family got sick towards the end of our visit and it seems they passed it on to me.  Ugh!  Have too much to do to feel this bad.  Can only hope it doesn't last long.

We didn't do any sight-seeing while we were gone, but we did go to John Fielder's Art Gallery to see Jeff's photo hanging on the wall.  Pretty impressive.  

I guess it's time to get back to the real world now.  I'm hoping to work up the ambition to get the Christmas stuff taken down - we'll see.  At least I will get the laundry done and watch a little football - Go Broncos!

The card - SU's hexagon punch fit the hexagons on this printed paper just perfectly so I just punched them out and added a couple of snowflakes and some bling.  Colors are kraft, artichoke and white.

A Christmas get-together here tonight so that means I need to get my house in some sort of order and make some spinach dip (it's potluck so I won't be cooking all day!)  Looking forward to a fun evening.

Stuck at home today - Jeff's truck is in the shop so he borrowed my car for a day or two.  Funny how I had no plans to go anywhere, but now that I don't have a car I want to go somewhere - lol!  But it's a good day to get some peanut brittle made so that will be my goal for the day.

Spent the entire day yesterday shopping - oh my - it's been so long since I've been to any stores except Lowes and Home Depot that I was just having way too much fun!  But most of my gift shopping is done - have just a couple of small things left to get - yay!  Today I'm going to stay home and try to get the laundry done and a box ready to ship.

Feeling much better thank goodness!  Whew - don't have time to be sick, way too much to do this week!  I was really bummed that I missed out on Laura's entire stitching event though.  I was feeling a bit better by yesterday so I did manage to get my Christmas letter done and in the mail.  Now it's time to get some shopping done - so I guess I will brave the cold today and hope the crowds are not too bad!

 A little more before and after:  the living room

Before:  the original window (from 1954), carpet that was at least 20 years old, screen door falling apart, the wall on the right is bright green

After:  new window - new door - new floor.  It's small, but functional.  The tv was a biggie for me, as the one I had was probably 30 years old - an old console tv.   This was another room that got downsized big time - I had to get rid of a big coffee table, plus a love seat and recliner that matched the sofa.  But it's what I call 'cozy' and works just fine for me!

Feeling a bit better this morning - have slept for most of the last 24 hours - good grief!  I hope I can work up enough energy to go to Laura's stitching thing for at least a little while today.  Really hate to miss the whole event!

Supposed to be going to an all day stiching thing today - however, I've been up half the night with some kind of stomach thing going on  yuk!  I feel really crappy, so it looks like I might have to miss the class this morning.  Darn it anyway!  Hopefully I will recover by this afternoon and can carry on with my day!

Having computer issues this morning - yuk - I hate when that happens.  Darn thing didn't want to start, then it went through this whole thing about repairing the problem, but low and behold, then it said it couldn't repair the problem.  Good grief!  Anyway, off to get a haircut this morning and then I will need to get home and get the mess cleaned up from last night and get ready for our Shoebox Christmas get together.  Another fun evening!

Before and after:  this was the largest bedroom so I decided to use this room for my office/wool room.  Jeff came over and helped me get the shelves put in the closet this week so I was finally able to get all my wool goodies put away and accessible!

The card - aw, finally some Christmas cards :)  The tree is from SU, stamped in white.  I stamped it three times without re-inking in between.  Card is kraft with printed paper added at the bottom of the panel.

I guess the first thing I need to do today is get the mess cleaned up from two days of stamping. Then I need to figure out projects for my card class event next week and a calendar topper for Shoebox and oh my, I really need to start thinking about Christmas gifts.

Brrrr!  It's 7 degrees and lots of frozen snow on the ground.  The high is only supposed to be 17 today - yuk!  Another good day to stay inside and stamp.  I did get some stamping done yesterday - not real productive as it's taking me a while to find things in this new room :)   But it feels good to stamp again!!!!

An on-going project..... if you remember how packed to the ceiling this garage was just a few weeks ago, this is definitely an improvement.  My car is in the garage and the pile of stuff only takes up half now!  That's progress!  I actually have new garage doors now too.

Started putting up the Christmas decorations yesterday.... I'm hoping to finish that up this morning and maybe have some time to stamp this afternoon - woo hoo!

I took a much needed r & r day yesterday - read, napped, read some more and ended the day watching Garth Brooks Live from Las Vegas on tv last night - what a great show!  Today Jeff and his friend are installing the new garage doors and then hopefully I will be able to get to my Christmas decorations and get a few of those put up.

Today needs to be clean-up day.  Jeff came and put in a new front door yesterday afternoon and there is quite the mess left from that project.  Today he's going to try and get the new screen door up and the new back door in - that will probably mean more cleaning up tomorrow :)  But I did get all the boxes out of the house yesterday.  Another car load to Goodwill and a lot of boxes stacked in the garage, but I can finally take a bit of a break from unpacking - at least it doesn't look like I'm living in the middle of a storage area :)

I'm finally able to park my car in the garage - woo hoo!  There's still a lot of stuff in there, but at least it's all on one side now.  Most of it can be dealt with later.  I need to get the cupboards cleaned out and organized but that can wait for a while too.  Now I just need to get the last few boxes unpacked in the house.

We call this 'the bathroom from h*ll because there seemed to be problem with everything we tried to do in here.  For such a small room it caused more problems than any other room in the house.  Poor Jeff - he was fit to be tied before we finally got it done!

My goal today is to get the class room/stamp room cleaned up (again!).  In the process of trying to get the garage cleaned out I ended up piling a lot of boxes in the stamp room - now I need to figure out what the heck to do with all this stuff.  Why do I have still have all those eyelets in every color?  I haven't used an eyelet in years - I think it's time to get rid of them :)

Making progress in the garage.  Got rid of a truck load of stuff I no longer needed - now it's just a matter of moving some stuff into the shed and then getting the rest organized.  I should be able to park my car in the garage one day soon!!!!
