The card - snowflake stamps are from SU. Sentiment is Hero Arts. Colors are marina mist & white.

Need to get these thank you cards I've done in the mail. And get to work on class projects. And get my house put back together after taking down the Christmas decorations. And.......(I'm sure there's more) - enough to do to keep me busy, that's for sure.

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

The card - snowflakes are from SU. Colors are not quite navy, marina mist and kraft.

Haircut this morning and then a trip to the grocery store. Now how's that for exciting?

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, December 28, 2010

The card - working on thank you cards. Snowflakes are embossed with sizzix (Tim Holtz) folder. Paper is from Bo-bunny.

Exciting news!!! Jeff ( my son) and Sara are engaged! Woo hoo! Sometime in the coming year I will get to be 'Mother of the Groom'.

Have a great day.

Monday, December 27, 2010

The card - Good ol' Lovely as a Tree from SU. The image is stamped with espresso on kraft, then I stamped it again on cream, punched out a section and then lined the punched piece up on top.

Trying to decide how to use my day wisely - need to get started on class projects for next week, but also want to get the Christmas decorations taken down. Oh, decisions, decisions.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, December 26, 2010

The card - a simple thank you card. Snowman is from SU. Colors are navy, white and celery.

I hope everyone had a fabulous day yesterday. I most certainly did. Food and fun and friends - can't ask for more! (and of course the presents!) I really have no plans for today - I may just be totally lazy. We'll see.

Have a great day!

May the spirit

of Christmas

fill your heart with peace,

and your home with love.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Friday, December 24, 2010

The card - very simple - trees are embossing folder from Sizzix (Tim Holtz). I embossed the trees first, then embossed again with swiss dots. Peace (SU) is stamped with sahara sand. Added some glitter to one of the trees just for fun. It was hard to get a good picture of this one - looks much better in real life.

I think I'm ready - how about you? I just have to make a quick trip to the bakery this morning and then get my house straightened up. Looking forward to dinner out with Jeff, Bob & Judy S tonight.

Have a terrific day!

Thursday, December 23, 2010

The card - images are from SU. I was hoarding this paper from SU, not sure why - what the heck good is it doing in a drawer? Card is kraft, accent is cherry cobbler, mat is black. Sentiment is stamped in black with white holly stamped on the background.

A few odds & ends to do today - wrapping gifts is one, laundry is another. I still have a project or two to finish up also. I took time yesterday to make some peanut brittle for the first time. That was kind of fun. It's been years since I made candy at Christmas, but decided I'd give it a try. I was amazed at myself - it turned out the first time and tastes pretty darn yummy!

Have a fabulous day!

Wednesday, December 22, 2010

The card - another hybrid card - image was printed from SU's MDS. Colors are navy and sahara sand.

Grocery shopping today - not the most exciting thing, but...... they just opened a new grocery store down the road from me and I'm going to go check it out.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, December 21, 2010

The card - stamped images are from SU. The bells are stamped in black, colored, cut out and popped up. Colors are cherry cobbler, vanilla and kraft.

My shopping is done! Yea! (except for the grocery store). I still have a couple of sewing projects to do but I should be able to get those done in the next day or so.

Judy S and I are getting together today for a bit of fun. Breakfast/lunch - shopping/stamping - not exactly sure, but whatever we decide to do it will be fun!

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, December 20, 2010

The card - stamped image is from SU. Background is a Sizzix embossing folder. Colors are artichoke, kraft, suede and vanilla.

Had a wonderful time at Sherry's last night - she cooked a fabulous meal - oh so yummy! And the gifts were awesome - everyone outdid themselves with their crafting talents!

I still have some shopping to do so I guess I will try to get that done today.

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, December 19, 2010

Project Sunday - thought I would show you my Christmas newsletter. I did the entire thing using MDS (My Digital Software) from SU. Good thing my kids have something fun going on during the year or I wouldn't have much to put in a newsletter!
Going to Sherry's this afternoon for our annual Christmas get together. Yea! It will be nice to take a little time off from Christmas crafting for an evening of fun with friends.
Have a great day!

Saturday, December 18, 2010

Photo Saturday - some Colorado scenery - taken at Rocky Mountain National Park.

'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas............ ' That song always pops into my head when it snows around Christmas time - and that's what it's doing this morning. Can't believe that Christmas is just a week away - whoa - I better get busy - I still have a lot of projects to finish!

Have a wonderful day!

Friday, December 17, 2010

The card - trees are from SU, sentiment is Hero Arts. The trees are stamped with artichoke, then I sponged some white here and there on the trees and at the bottom to look like snow. The card is sahara sand, mat is black.

In answer to a question yesterday from Louise - the digital program I use for the hybrid cards I've done is My Digital Software (MDS) from Stampin' Up. It's a complete program that you purchase from SU and load on to your computer. It comes with a ton of images (paper, embellishments, punches and stamps) plus they are constantly adding new images that you can purchase to add to your program. It's a great program - there's a ton of stuff you can do with it.

I had a nice little break from crafting yesterday - my house got cleaned (more or less) and I had a great time at our Christmas get together last night. Now it's back to my sewing projects today and then stamping with Sherry tonight.

Have a wonderful day.

Thursday, December 16, 2010

The card - a hybrid card today. I don't have have this stamp set from SU, but I do have it on SU's MDS program. So, I just printed it in black on a piece of white paper, added a black mat, ribbon and a little bling.

Taking a break from crafting today. I have friends coming tonight for a little Christmas get together and I really need to get my house in order. Not sure how I can make such a mess with just sewing, but I seem to have pieces of thread in every room in the house.

Happy stampin'

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

The card - this image is an old background stamp I found in my stash. I stamped the image in kraft, then again in Cherry cobbler. I cut out the squares spelling noel and popped them up, then added some ribbon. How easy is that.

Have to go do some errands this morning. I was on a roll with my sewing projects yesterday and ran out of thread - I hate it when that happens.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

The card - stamps are from SU, embossed in gold on black. Rather elegant looking I think.

The Christmas cards are done and in the mail - woo hoo! Between doing Tracy's thank you cards (60) and my Christmas cards (80) I made 140 cards in just a little over a week. Too bad I'm not that productive all the time. I even managed to get some shopping done yesterday so the major items are out of the way. Today I've got to work on some handcrafted / sewing items that I'm doing for gifts.

Have a great day!

Monday, December 13, 2010

The card - stamped images are from SU. The holly is cut out and popped up. Colors are kraft, cherry cobbler and artichoke.

I'm trying to decide between finishing my Christmas cards or going shopping today. I guess I'll work on the cards this morning before the stores open and then see how I feel about shopping. Looking forward to Stamp Club with Deb tonight. That will be a nice break!

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, December 12, 2010

Project Sunday - this is the project for a class that I did last week. I had great fun putting this together! The 'frame' is from 7 Gypsies, Colorado stickers are from Reminisce.
My table is piled with parts and pieces of my Christmas cards - I'm hoping to get those finished this morning. I'm looking forward to an afternoon of stamping with Judy S.
Have a great day!

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Photo Saturday - ( photo by Liz Dwenger) a fun photo from the wedding. Several months before the wedding Tracy & Tony decided they would like to have their families wear Toms Shoes. If you are local you may have seen the big article about Toms Shoes that was in our newspaper this week. (it was actually an AP story so others may have seen it too!) Just briefly, Toms Shoes logo is 'One for One' which means that for every pair of shoes that is purchased a pair of new shoes is donated to a child in need. If you know my daughter you know that this is something that would appeal to her! So, this is a picture of everyone at the wedding who was wearing Toms Shoes. Side note: they are very comfortable shoes - I love them! I even found another pair I would love to have and put them on my Christmas list!

I spent all day on the computer yesterday and finished my Christmas letter! Yea! I even figured out what I'm doing for cards . Still have to make them, of course, but the 'thinking part' is done! Today I am hoping to get them all cut and ready to stamp and assemble. Making progress!

Have a wonderful day.

Friday, December 10, 2010

The card - stamped images are from SU. Colors are kraft (card) vanilla and cherry cobbler.

OK, it's official. It is now full-blown 'panic mode'. I haven't even started shopping, have no idea what I'm doing for Christmas cards/letter and I have several handmade gifts to get made. Oh my! Guess I better figure out a plan for today and get started on something.

Happy stampin'

Thursday, December 9, 2010

The card - a hybrid card. After borrowing Sherry's stamp for the previous cards I did with this SU set I realized I had it on MDS. So, I printed this in suede on kraft paper. What was cool was because this stamp was so big I could resize it and get the whole image on a regular size card. I printed a couple of other images, cut them out and popped them up and then added some pearls. Fun!

Looking forward to our Shoebox Club tonight. In December we don't do a project, but we bring an 'ugly stamp' for a gift exchange. So I have to dig through my stash and find an ugly stamp - won't be hard because I have quite a few to choose from.

Have a great day!

Wednesday, December 8, 2010

The card - my version of the 'door' card that has been seen a lot lately. The wreath is done with a stamp from SU - stamped with artichoke on artichoke paper then punched out. Door is vanilla sponged with kraft.

I'm starting to hit the 'panic mode' here. I haven't done one thing about gifts for Christmas and it's just a little over 2 weeks away. Yikes! I think I better get started!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

The card - stamped images on oval are from SU. Background stamp is from Hero Arts. Embossing folder is sizzix. Colors are artichoke, cherry cobbler, and black.

It's amazing what I can accomplish when I stay focused - I got a lot done yesterday - woo hoo! Now if I can just keep the momentum going today........

Happy stampin'

Monday, December 6, 2010

The card - stamps and embossing folder are both from SU. I colored the snowmen's hats & scarves with marina mist and pear. More glitter! I added some glitter to the bottom of the snowmen image.

Today's priority is to get my class stuff done so I will be ready for this week's classes.

Have a great day!

Sunday, December 5, 2010

The card - a quick & easy Christmas card. Season's Greetings is from SU - holly border is one I found in my stash of Christmas stamps. Colors are cherry cobbler & artichoke.

(posting a card today because I don't have any new projects or scrapbook pages to show you :)

I have ladies coming back today for another work day - we had a great day yesterday and I made a lot of progress on Tracy's thank you cards. It would be great if I could finish those up today.

Happy stampin'

Saturday, December 4, 2010

Photo Saturday - some Colorado winter scenery (taken in Ouray).

Work day today - I have several ladies coming to work on projects so I need to get things straightened up downstairs. I think I'm going to work on Tracy's thank you cards.

Have a wonderful day.

Friday, December 3, 2010

The card - stamped image is from Unity. The image is embossed with gold. Colors are gold and white. Super simple.

A big thank you to the ladies from my classes. They are such a wonderful group and I look forward to seeing each and every one of them every month! You guys are the best!!!

So, the big hit of the event last night was........(not a card or project!) the corn dip that my friend Linda gave me the recipe for. Not ever having it before I was a little leary when I was mixing it up yesterday morning - not sure it was going to be something I liked. But......oh my.....turned out it was absolutetly delicious. So today I am passing on the receipe for this yummy treat! Give it a try!

Corn Dip

3 (11 oz) cans Mexican-style corn, drained

1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies, drained

5 green onions, chopped

1 (8 oz) container sour cream

3/4 cup mayonaise

10 oz shredded Cheddar cheese

In a medium-size bowl, combine ingredients. Mix well. Cover and refigerate.

Serve with chips (I used Fritos Scoops), crackers or sliced vegetables.

Thursday, December 2, 2010

The card - stamped image is from SU. Colors are olive and white. And yes! that is is glitter on the bottom part of the image. (my friends know that I don't use a lot of glitter - I tend to get it everywhere! I actually did pretty good and got it mostly on the card! )

Tonight is my December card class event. I combine all of my card classes into one night in December and make it a bit of a Christmas party. It's great fun. Thanks to Judy's help yesterday I'm pretty much on top of things and only have to deal with getting the food done today! Yea!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, December 1, 2010

The card - same stamp (SU) as yesterday but a totally different look. The stamp is too big for the whole thing to fit on a regular size card so I made this one a 5 x 7 card. The image is stamped in black on vanilla and sponged here and there with kraft. I added the reindeer and peace (both are SU) to this one (cut out and popped up). Accent colors are cherry cobbler and artichoke.

A trip to the grocery store this morning then Judy S is coming over this afternoon to help me get the tables & chairs set up for tomorrow night.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

The card - this is a background stamp from SU. Sherry was kind enough to bring it over for me to play with the other night. (and she let me copy this layout too!) The background is stamped with soft suede on kraft. I highlighted the 'joy' by going over it with a blender pen and some soft suede. The '25' is embossed wtih gold. Card is cherry cobbler and mat is vanilla.

I'm going to work on the basement today - it needs to be cleaned and straightened up before Thursday and I have quite the mess down there at this point. Need to be up and moving - I've been sittting too much the last few days. Still need to get the class kits bagged, but hopefully I can do that this evening.

Have a great day!

Monday, November 29, 2010

The card - background stamp is from Hero Arts. Colors are artichoke, cherry cobbler, kraft, black. Scallops are made with an EK Success punch.

It must be that time of year - having the Christmas decorations up, making some Christmas cards, watching the Hallmark movie last night and waking up to snow on the ground - yep, it's beginning to sink in that it's time to get serious about all the things I need to get done in the next few weeks! Today I need to get my class projects finished and then cut and bagged. It's going to be a busy week.

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, November 28, 2010

Project Sunday - this is a class I did last week. The kit came from Little Yellow Bicycle - it was a fun & easy project.

Looking forward to a fun afternoon of stamping with Judy S. But first I have to get my mess from yesterday cleaned up. I'm almost done with the Christmas decorations - just have to do the basement. Glad I got the greenery outside done yesterday because the weather report says we could get snow today.

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday, November 27, 2010

Photo Saturday - flowers behind the barn at the wedding venue in Ohio.

It's time - to put up the Christmas decorations that is. That's the plan for today.

To answer a couple of questions - the pumpkins on the card that I posted on Thanksgiving are from Unity. The embossing folder from yesterday's card is from Sizzix.

Have a fabulous day!

Friday, November 26, 2010

The card - super simple! The embossing folder is the main focus of this one - I just added a some pearls to the embossed flowers.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday yesterday. I certainly did - always love days spent with family and friends!

Class projects, Tracy's Thank You cards and putting up the Christmas decorations - those are my goals for the weekend. The class projects probably should be my priority at this point, so I'm thinking I will try to get those finished today.

Enjoy your day!

Season of THANKS

Season of BLESSINGS

Season of LOVE

HAPPY

THANKSGIVING

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

The card - floral stamps are from SU, sentiment is Papertrey. The floral image is stamped with versamark on the background. Colors are kraft, cajun, mustard and espresso.

A couple of quick errands this morning and then back to work on class projects. I probably should do a few household chores sometime before tomorrow too.

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

The card - poppy stamp is from Stampendous, sentiment is Papertrey. A fun one to play with. (I borrowed it from Judy S) Colors are black, poppy and olive.

Whew, I got my work done yesterday and managed to get to the grocery store. So, today I am going to concentrate on class projects.

Happy stampin'

Monday, November 22, 2010

The card - floral stamp is from SU, sentiment is Papertrey, background stamp is Limited Edition. Colors are kraft, cajun and garden green.

Wow - I can't believe Thanksgiving is just days away. I feel like the holidays are sneaking up on me and I am definitely not prepared. Oh my. A trip to the grocery store is on the list for sure but that may have to wait 'til tomorrow. Have to get some paper work done and get ready for class tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, November 21, 2010

Project Sunday - this is the other calendar topper I did for Shoebox. I think all of the stamps are from Hero Arts except for the grass which is A Muse.

Met up with our friend Kim last night who I haven't seen for a very long time. She moved to Oregon but is here visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday. She shared some awsome projects with us - thanks Kim! It was a great evening filled with lots of laughs!

Happy stampin'

Saturday, November 20, 2010

Photo Saturday - yep, that's snow! And this is what it looked like about 6 o'clock in the morning last Monday. So glad it didn't stick around long - it had all melted by afternoon.

The Good Time Girls are coming to crop today! Should be a fun day!

Have a wonderful day!

Friday, November 19, 2010

The card - stamped image is from SU. This is the same jumbo wheel that I used on the card yesterday. (I removed it from the wheel and attached it to some stuff called EZ Mount foam - not sure where to get it since my friend Judy S gave me what I have) The image is stamped with kraft on the kraft card. Strips are suede, cajun and mustard.

A cooking day today - Nick (my friend Deb's son) turns 11 today and he called and ask if I would make him chicken and noodles for his birthday. He was so cute! There is just no way to refuse a request like that! So.....I'm off to make the birthday meal - chicken & noodles, chocolate cake and graham cracker icecream (I think the icecream is actually his favorite part, not the chicken & noodles!)

Happy stampin'

Thursday, November 18, 2010

The card - stamped image is from SU. This stamp is actually a jumbo wheel, but I took it off of the wheel, put it on some foam and use it on a clear block like a cling stamp. I stamped the entire image in espresso, then stamped the leaves in cajun and mustard and cut them out. Background is an embossing folder. Colors are espresso, cajun and kraft.

Need to get things ready for class tonight, do some cleaning up in my stamp room (it's quite the mess!) and go to the grocery store (didn't finish my errands yesterday). Guess that should keep me busy today.

Thanks for the kind comments ladies......makes my day!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

The card - taking a break from 'fall' colors, pumpkins & leaves. Stamped image is from SU. Colors are kraft and baja.

Going to get a haricut this morning. If I can get my list together maybe I can also get my errands done today instead of putting them off 'til tomorrow.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

The card - stamped images are from Unity. Printed paper is Basic Grey. Colors are kraft and cajun.
Today? Who knows. Going with the flow........
Enjoy your day!

Monday, November 15, 2010

The card - stamped images are from SU. Colors are cherry cobbler, peach parfait, suede, kraft & vanilla.

I think maybe I should have posted a 'snow' card today - looks like winter wonderland outside this morning. Ugh - not ready for the winter thing quite yet. (but, then again, I'm never ready for winter) Good day to stay indoors for sure.

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, November 14, 2010

Sunday Project - this is the calendar topper I did for our Shoebox Club this month. The background is embossed with a Quickutz folder. Stamped images are from SU. Colors are espresso, artichoke, vanilla and mustard. Sentiment is from CTMH.

Judy S & I made an impromtu trip to Delta yesterday. (no household chores for me!) Great fun - and of course I came home with way more than I intended. But......I have some new stamps to play with today! I do plan to do a little multi-tasking today - I figure I can at least get some laundry done in between playing with my new stamps!

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday, November 13, 2010

Photo Saturday - sunrise last Monday.

A free weekend - um - what to do! I guess there's the household chores that need to be done - doesn't sound like much fun but maybe I should at least think about it. Or not.

Have a fabulous day!

Friday, November 12, 2010

The card - medalion and saying are from SU (printed from the computer using MDS) Colors are espresso, kraft and cajun. Background piece is embossed with a Quickutz folder.

Errands this morning and then I hope to spend the rest of the day stamping.

Enjoy your day!
