The card - background is embossed with snowflakes (Tim Holtz)  Skates are from SU, I colored just the holly with copics.  Quick and easy!

'Grandma time' today.  Going to lunch with a friend and hopefully it will stop snowing sooner rather than later.  I've already shoveled once, looks like I'll have to do it again - yuk!    Hudson and I will have a nice, quiet, New Year's Eve at home while his parents celebrate having a night to themselves :)

Have a safe and
Happy New Year's Eve.

The card - I embossed the large snowflake on a piece of patterned paper for the background.  Two white snowflakes are punched out and popped up on top of the large snowflake.  An added sentiment and a little bling.

More 'Grandma time' today.  Hopefully I can get the rest of the Christmas decorations put away and the winter stuff out.  Making tacos for dinner tonight for my daughter-in-laws birthday.  All that should keep us busy!

Have a wonderful day!

The card - just a simple winter scene (an old stamp I found in the drawer).  Stamped in black and colored just a bit with copics.

More 'Grandma time' today.  The babysitter is on vacation all week - lucky me!  No big plans, but there's a couple of errands that we need to do.

Have a terrific day!

The card - background is embossed.  Trees are stamped with light green.  White tree is die cut and popped up.  Just a little added bling and a sentiment.  (this would make a nice thank-you card also!)

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. I had a marvelous day.  Ate too much, but it was worth it!  Hudson was just awesome - made the day even that much better.  Another great Christmas day!

Today is a 'Grandma day'  Not sure what we'll do - have a couple of errands to do, so we'll see how the weather is - looks like it's spitting snow.  It might just be a stay-at-home day.

Enjoy your day whatever it entails!

Wishing you
Love,
Joy
and Peace!

Monday, December 24, 2018

The card - not a great scan, sorry.  The background is a large embossed snowflake.  I added some smaller punched snowflakes and a couple piece of patterned paper.  The sentiment is stamped and then punched in the oval shape.

Getting better every day.  Finally able to eat something besides jello and popsicles!  Had some applesauce and a baked potato last night - yay!  Things are looking up!  It is a rather bad time to not be able to eat, but it's all about being with people I love, so food is just a small part of the whole thing.  (although, it does seem like it's the major part sometimes, doesn't it?)  But all is good.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - woke up to some of the white stuff on the ground this morning.  It looks very pretty (and cold!)  Not much happening today - Hudson will be here, we'll make a last minute trip to the grocery store and tonight we're breaking tradition and instead of going out for dinner, we're going to look at Christmas lights and then go to Jeff & Sara's for chili and watch the football game.  Go Broncos!  Looking forward to it - it will be fun!

Have a safe and happy
Christmas Eve.

The card - this card really didn't scan very well.  But....I stamped the trees in light green on the background, then embossed it.  The bottom white piece is torn across the top and embossed also.  The leaves are a die cut (SU) and the merry die cut and christmas stamp are from Hero Arts.

Well, looks like surgery is in my near future.  Gallbladder being removed on January 2.  They're waiting for my pancreas to heal a bit more, I'm still having issues keeping food down.  So, for now it's jello and popsicles.  But, I am feeling much better, (as long as I don't eat all is good.!)

Looking forward to a 'Grandma day' today.   Nothing too ambitious, but I do have a few errands to do, so we should be good!  Friday night crafting tonight (I may be doing more visiting than crafting, but that's ok too!)

All is Good!   (I am SO glad that my son and daughter-in-law are hosting Christmas at their house - yay!)

Have a GREAT day!

The card - little of this and a little of that!  Printed paper, some background embossing, pretty gold ribbon, punched holly, some bling and a sentiment.  Whew!  Not my usual thing, but kind of pretty in real life.

Medical update:  still having issues.  Scheduled to see a surgeon today.  My Dr is pretty sure it's my gallbladder and it will need to be removed.  Liquid diet til then.  Stocked up on jello and popsicles - yum!  I acutally will be relieved if that's the problem, they can take it out and all this will be over!  I'll try to keep you posted.  Thanks for all the well wishes.

Have a great day!

The card - a super simple one.  Background is embossed.  Holly is from SU and I just added some bling for the berries and some twine.  A sentiment finished it off.

Well, my little bout of illness wasn't quite done with me like I thought.  Stomach issues returned on Saturday and my son ended up taking me to the hospital.  They decided I was having pancreatitis.   Anyway, I got better, came home on Monday, had recurring symtoms Monday night.  Scheduled for a Dr's appointment this morning.  I seem to be ok as long as I don't eat or drink anything -  I really didn't want to gain back weight during the holidays, but this is a little extreme.  Here's hoping they can get it figured out.  Christmas is fast approaching and I'm missing all the fun!!!!!

Have a great day and think Merry thoughts!

The card - Tree is from SU.  Merry die cut is from Hero Arts.  I added the little sentiment part with just a rectangle and added a piece of bling to the top of the tree.  Easy!

Well, I had to cancel out on our party last night.  Spent the whole day on the sofa, mostly sleeping.  Thanks for all the well wishes.  I don't deal with sick very well, since I hardly ever get sick.  Just one of those days I guess.  The group was all kind and decided they would just postpone it until next week.  (yep, great friends!)  Feeling much better today (although my stomach doesn't feel quite back to normal) but I'm good.  Which is a good thing since it's a 'Grandma day".

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, December 13, 2018

The card - trees are from SU.  I stamped off before stamping the background trees to make them a bit lighter.  The front tree is stamped and then die cut and popped up.  The bottom is a piece of white that is torn across the top.

Oooh...not feeling so hot this morning.  Spent most of the night in the bathroom....yuk!   Not sure what's going on, but I don't need this right now.  Christmas get-together tonight that I really don't want to miss.  (and dessert and presents are at my house)  Guess I'll see how I'm feeling later this afternoon.  (after some more sleep)

Have a great day!

The card - (much prettier in real life)  The background is embossed.  I added a torn piece across the bottom..  Holly is a punch with added bling.  The sentiment is stamped directly on the torn piece.  It doesn't show in the scan, but I used some 'Wink of Stella' on the trees - looks really pretty!

Time to make some more peanut brittle.  Hopefully I can get a couple batches made this morning before my friend Ann comes over to help me with some knitting issues!  I really want to figure out my Christmas cards too!  I never got any sent last year, so I'm bound and determined to get them done this year!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, December 11, 2018

The card - Background is printed paper.  Merry is a die cut (Hero Arts) and Christmas (Hero Arts) is stamped directly on the printed paper.  Super easy!

A day of catching up and trying to figure out what all still needs to be done in the next two weeks.

Have a great day!

Monday, December 10, 2018

The card - background is embossed, white trees are die cut (SU), green tree is stamped and then die cut (SU).  There is an extra piece of white across the bottom that is torn at the top.  The sentiment is stamped on the torn piece.

'Grandma time' today.  Hoping to go see Santa today.

Have a great day!

Friday, December 7, 2018

The card - background is embossed (SU).  Trees and 'Peace' are die cut.  The big tree is attached flat, the two smaller trees are popped up.

'Grandma time' today.  Friday night crafting tonight.  All is Good!

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, December 6, 2018

The card - Merry  Chrismtas is a die cut/stamp set from Hero Arts/  Some flagged pieces of patterned paper and some twine make for a pretty quick and easy card!

Sorry I've been out of touch for a few days.  Ran out of stamped cards and just haven't had a chance to get any made.  It's 'that time of year'!  I'm finding that I'm more unorganized and discombomulated this year than usual.   Not sure there is a solution......I shall just muddle on and hope for the best - hahaha!

Looking foward to an afternoon of stitching at Wool Gatherer's today.  (I haven't even had a chance to do much stitching!)  I should get something accomplished today since I have friends coming to craft tonight too.  Here's hoping for a productive day!

Happy stamping!
