Scrappin' Sunday - this is my first attempt at a 2-page digital layout.  (using SU's MDS)  It's a very simple layout,  but I discovered it was more time consuming than I had thought it would be.  I need to work on figuring out some ways to make it go faster :)

Well, I only got one of the things done yesterday that I had planned on.  Got the grocery shopping done and that was it.  Not sure why, but I had absolutely no energy yesterday - spent most of the day reading a book.  Guess I needed a rest.   Hopefully I can get a little more accomplished today.

Have a great day!

Photo Satuday - a view of the grand valley and bookcliffs taken from Colorado National Monument.  My house would be a tiny little speck behind the rocks on the left :)

Time to get serious about class projects.....and go to the grocery store....and maybe get some laundry done....and then tonight maybe I can get some stitchin' done too!

Have a beautiful day!

The card - very simple.....stamped image is from Inkadinkado.   Colors are black, white and pear.

Had quite the productive day yesterday....now I have to clean my table off before I can do even one more thing.   Time to think about class projects for May too.

Enjoy your day!

The card - stamped image and embossed frame are from SU.   Colors are white, black and razzleberry.

Wow, this week is going by much too fast!  It's been nice to have a week with not a lot of commitments, but it doesn't seem as if I've gotten much accomplished.  That's ok though, it's been rather relaxing.  I do need to get some stamping done though, so that's my goal for the day.

Have a wonderful day!

The card - the stamped image is from Inkadinkado.  I embossed the image in white on some Tim Holtz printed paper, then sponged some kraft here and there.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  Colors are kraft, marina mist and vanilla.   Guess this one will just be a sample - discovered I had the writing on the paper upside down!

The 'simply enjoy it all stamp' that I've been using is a Studio G stamp, made by Hampton Art.  It is a wood mounted stamp and I found it  in the display bin of $1.00 stamps  at Michael's.

A play day today - Judy S and I are going to breakfast and then a little shopping.  Oh yes - life is good!

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

The card - tulips are from Hero Arts.  (sorry, not a great picture, but if I lightened it up it turned the pink a funny color)  Colors are kraft, pirouette pink and vanilla.

I think today is going to be a stamping day.  Running out of cards to post so I better get some done, right?  At some point I do have to put the basement back together since I have class tonight.  (we used the tables and chairs for the dinner on Saturday and it just needs to be straightened up)

Have a great day!

Monday, April 23, 2012

The card - script stamp is from Stampers Anonomous, sentiment is $1 stamp from Michael's, flower is from Penny Black.  Card and strip are both vanilla, and both are sponged with kraft.

Gosh, it seems like I have a fairly free week coming up....oh my....I guess I better make a plan or else I will end up wasting the week away.

Have a beautiful day!

I've had a great time the last couple of days visiting with cousins I haven't seen for over 20 years.  Have a bit of cleanup to do after yesterdays event, but then I'm spending the rest of the day doing something fun....stitching, stamping, maybe both!

Have a wonderful day!

Oh my, so many things to do I'm not sure where to start.  Guess I better finish bagging the class kits first and then move on from there.  Maybe I can even multi-task and get some laundry done at the same time :)

Enjoy your day!

Photo Saturday - close up of peach blossoms (can hardly wait for those yummy Palisade peaches!)

I guess playtime is over for this week - darn! - I've been having such fun the last couple of days.  But, now it is time to get some work done around here.  I must get the dust and dirt from the construction cleaned up a bit since I'm having guests for dinner tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day!

Aw...another play day for me!  Judy S and I are taking a little road trip to Delta/Montrose today.  Have to check out a quilt store in Montrose and we're even going to try a new place for lunch.  (we're really getting adventurous :)  Then I'm meeting Sherry and Deb for a little shopping here in town and then Deb and I will spend the rest of the evening crafting.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, April 5, 2012

The card - stamped image is from Penny Black.   Colors are wasabi and poppy.

Loved the movie yesterday - went to see Mirror, Mirror with Julia Roberts - a real 'laugh out loud' movie - just what I needed!

Grocery shopping this morning, but so looking forward to the rest of the day.  Deb & Sherry will be arriving this afternoon for some shopping, visiting, and stitiching - woo hoo - can hardly wait!

Have a wonderful day!

Gosh, what a week!  Computer issues just throw me for a loop.  But, it's fixed and I'm back in business.  Turned out I had a really nasty virus (well, the computer did, I didn't)  They ended up having to wipe the hard drive clean, which means I'm starting from scratch again - my job this morning will be re-loading all those programs - again! - seems like I just did that :)    But I'm going to take a break this afternoon and go to a movie with Judy D.  I'll probably need the distraction by then :)

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, April 3, 2012

The card - tulips are from Hero Art, sentiment is SU.  Colors are wasabi and daffodil.

Monday, April 2, 2012

Stamped image is from Penny Black.  Colors are peach and white.

The computer seems to be working ok now - here's hoping it will stay that way.   Love technology, but it's a real pain when it doesn't work right - it's amazing how much I rely on it!

Lots to get done this week so I better get started - class projects to do, Easter cards to finish, laundry, and on it goes.  I need to get things caught up this week because I'm going to have to start thinking about starting the yard work next week.  (I'm just thinking about it this week, have to work myself up to actually doing it :)

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, April 1, 2012

Project Sunday - my first completed wool applique project.   Have a couple more I've finished in the last couple of days so I will be showing more of these projects :)

Having computer issues - ugh!  I'm pre-posting a couple of days worth while it's working just in case........ I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to take it in for some work.

Hoping to get in a day of stamping today.

Enjoy your day!
