I am a widow with a grown son, a daughter-in-law and awesome grandson. I was born and raised and still live in western Colorado near the Utah border.
I have enjoyed many crafts during the years. (the good ol standbys - crocheting, macrame, ceramics and counted cross-stitch just to name a few!) I started tole painting in 1979 and started my 'teaching' career a few years later. I taught tole painting classes for a local craft shop for a few years and then became a store owner myself in 1991. The store was part gifts/home decor items and part tole painting. That store burned down in 1994 and I started over at a different location. Because I lost all of the tole painting supplies in the fire, the new store was just gifts and home decorating items. In 1995 I attended my first Creative Memories party and the 'die was cast' as they say. In 1996 I moved my store to a new location and completely changed gears and began carrying scrapbook supplies. A short time later I attended my first 'rubber stamping' class and another hobby was added to my growing scrapbooking addiction. I closed the store in May, 2007. I kept a part of the store inventory and started teaching classes at my home. It was quite an adjustment after being a retail store owner for 15 years, and I do still miss it at times, but I have learned to enjoy the freedom and have been blessed with the very best students a teacher could ask for. I no longer do much scrapbooking, but I have added knitting, wool applique and Swedish Weaving to my craft obsessions in the past few years.
I started this blog in 2008 as a way to share ideas for stamping and scrapbooking. Along the way I've started adding some photos just because I love photography and it brings me a lot of joy. Now, I also try to show finished projects from my other crafts! I hope you enjoy reading my blog and hopefully have been inspired by something I have shared.

I love Starbuck's ice tea (not a coffee drinker) and Coldstone Creamery ice cream
I enjoy organizing (a little OCD showing)
I am the happiest when I can spend time with my son and his family (especially my grandson!) and/or my friends!
I am a Denver Bronco's fan

Just came across your blog while surfing the web. Love your cards and appreciate your upfront disclosure as I CASE MANY cards but never remember where I got the original idea. I, too, am a Bronco fan (live in the Denver metro area) and a former CM consultant who has "morphed" into a card maker. :-)

I found while checking Pinterest and pinned one of your cards awhile back. I also love your disclosure and I do try to give credit to the original card maker but sometimes it just doesn't happen.
I live in Loveland and I have been a CM consultant too. I then found making cards and I am addicted.
I am also a widow. My husband had dementia and passed on October 6, 2014.
We have family in GJ and have visited often. I hope to spend some time there this summer.

Love that you share some of the most beautiful photographs of nature and scenery.
Staring at those gorgeous scenes has gotten me through some bad days, especially through my husband's terminal illness.
I found your blog when I first started stamping and really appreciated that you shared cards I felt I could actually replicate, which gave me more confidence about what I could accomplish. Now cardmaking is a welcome distraction from the realities of life.
