The card - stamped images are from SU (Watercolor Trio) Colors are soft suede and razzleberry. The background script (Stampabilities) is stamped with sahara sand.

It's supposed to be a nice day so I am going to take advantage of that and spend some time in the yard dealing with weeds. Class tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

The card - leaf stamp is from Papertrey, background, butterfly and sentiment are SU.

I ended up taking an r & r day yesterday. Just couldn't get motivated to do much of anything. Today I am going to get some chores done in the house so that tomorrow I can get some yard work done. (at least that's my plan!)

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

The card - more with Watercolor Trio (SU) Colors are saffron, olive, and razzleberry.

Today.......um......no clue! Haven't figured out what I'm doing today yet. My plan for this week was to work in the yard - now the weather isn't exactly cooperating. Can you believe there is a winter storm watch (meaning snow) for the mountains? Good grief - it's the middle of May! So, I guess I'll find something to do indoors - there's plenty to do, just need to figure out what I'm in the mood for. Of course there is always the option of spending the day stamping.

Have a great day!

Monday, May 17, 2010

The card - a new set from SU - Watercolor Trio. I'm having fun playing with this set - lots of different things you can do with all the images. Colors are olive and regal rose. Card is vanilla - background script is stamped with sahara sand.

Back to planting flowers today. My plan for getting them all done in one day didn't quite work out. Had to call on my friend Bob (Judy S' sweet husband) to help me out with a broken light pole. I thought the whole thing was a loss but he managed to fix it - yea! I owe him big time! So, today I will get the patio flowers done and then I can move on to getting the weeds under control (again!) Class tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, May 16, 2010

Project Sunday - I realized I had never shown you the 'rag purse' that I made a while back. I gave this one to Tracy for her birthday. They are really fun and easy to do and I have several more cut and ready to sew - just haven't taken the time to put them together.

It looks like it's going to be a nice day so my plan is to get started on planting the flowers. I didn't buy as many this year as usual so I'm hoping I can get them all done in one day!

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!

Saturday, May 15, 2010

Photo Saturday - this is the camera that took the picture of the Wright Brothers first flight at Kitty Hawk. How would you like to haul that thing around? Don't think I'd be taking near as many pictures!

Looks like it's going to be a stampin' day for me today. I did go buy my flowers yesterday but it doesn't look like it's going to be a good day for planting. We got a lot of rain last night and it's still sprinkling. Hopefully tomorrow it will be nice and I can get the flowers planted.

Have a great weekend!

Friday, May 14, 2010

The card - stamped image is from Papertrey. Colors are teal, olive, and suede.

I am so looking forward to our Friday night get-together - it's been two weeks since I've had a chance to just stamp for fun! And........I will have a new stamp set to play with tonight since Sherry will be bringing my order from last week's stamp club - yea! But before that I am planning on going and buying flowers for the yard and hopefully will have a nice day over the weekend to get them planted.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, May 13, 2010

The card - Stamps are from SU - colors are celery and riding hood red.

We have our Shoebox Club tonight and I don't have my project done yet (and no idea what I'm doing!) so I guess I better get busy and get that done. Also need to do a birthday card for my son Jeff - his birthday is Saturday but our schedules didn't mesh so I'm taking him to dinner tonight (before Shoebox).

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

The card - flower is from SU (Of the Earth) inked with olive and melon markers. Sentiment is from Papertrey. Colors are melon mambo, olive and white.

I'm having a hard time getting back in the 'groove' after being on vacation. My original plan for this week was to get my flowers planted, but the weather is not cooperating with my plan. So...... I think I will try to get some chores and errands done today. Class tonight.

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

The card - stamped images are from Papertrey. Colors are white, olive and riding hood red.

I'm back! What a great weekend. The day of graduation was pretty cold (and windy), but since most of the activities took place indoors it wasn't too bad. Sight-seeing with Tony on Friday was fun and the amusement park on Sunday was perfect. Now it's back to real life. Need to get things together for my class this morning and another class tonight - unpacking in between - and that will probably be the total of my activity for the day!

Have a great day!

Monday, May 10, 2010

The card - stamps are from Papertrey and SU. Colors are white, perfect plum and mellow moss. Butterflies are Martha Stewart punch. The flower is one I've seen a lot on blogs & websites. It's really just three scallop circle punches wadded up and layered.

Travel Day - returning home today. Hopefully I will have lots of fun pictures to scrapbook in the coming weeks.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, May 9, 2010

Happy Mother's Day!

This will be the first time in lots of years that I've spent Mother's Day with both of my kids (or with either one of them for that matter!) It will be truly special this year! The plan is to spend the day at King's Island amusement park - but Tracy & Tony are working on alternate plans in case the weather is bad. Whatever we do I will just enjoy the fact that we are together.

The card - Awash with flowers (SU) - colors are lavender and celery. I even added some glitter to the flower (not something I do often enough!)

Saturday, May 8, 2010

Photo Saturday - don't you just the smell of the lilac bushes - a sure sign of spring. I wish they lasted all summer! (I don't have any in my yard but these are just on the other side of the fence)

Graduation Day - we'll be celebrating with Tracy today as she receives her Masters of Divinity in Youth and Young Adult Ministry from Bethany Seminary.

Have a great day!

Friday, May 7, 2010

The card - stamped images are from SU & Inkadinkado. Butterfly is from SU die. Colors are kraft, sage, saffron and white.

A tourist day today. Tracy will be busy with graduation preparations but Tony is taking the day off work to take us sight-seeing. Fun!

Happy stampin'

Thursday, May 6, 2010

The card - stamped images are from SU (Vintage Vogue) Colors are mellow moss & lavender.

Travel day - Jeff, Sara and I are off to Dayton, Ohio this morning to attend Tracy's graduation from seminary - which will be on Saturday.

Have a great day!

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

The card - more Awash with Flowers - colors are regal rose, pumpkin, saffron and olive.

Time to get myself organized - we leave for Ohio early in the morning so I have to get the laundry finished and figure out what clothes to take. Hopefully I will have some time to get some blog posts scheduled for the days I am gone - don't want you all to feel neglected!

Have a wonderful day.

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

The card - stamps are from SU (Vintage Vogue). Colors are kraft, baja, and chocolate. It's a little hard to see but I did use the vintage roller on the background.

Today - errands, laundry, water the lawn, class tonight. I thought I was pretty much on top of things but it seems like I have an awful lot to do before I leave for Ohio on Thursday.

Enjoy your day!

Monday, May 3, 2010

The card - stamped images are from Papertrey. Colors are olive,
celery and chocolate.

Well the weather turned out to be not so bad yesterday after all so I ended up spending almost 8 hours finishing up my yard work! I'm done with all the rose bushes and weeds for now! Woo hoo! Now I can spend the next few days getting ready for my trip to Ohio. So, today I'm going to get ready for my class tonight (cut kits and set up) and then I think I will go do a little shopping.

Have a great day!

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Sorry, no scrapbook page today. I didn't realize I hadn't taken pictures of any more pages - so......today you get a card instead of a layout.

I saw this card somewhere out in blog land and decided to give it a try. The flowers are from SU (5th Avenue Floral) - stamped and embossed with white. Then I colored them with a versa mark pen. Now, how cool is that? The card is kraft, ribbon is soft suede.

I had planned on trying to finish up the yard work today (still have a whole section of rose bushes to trim). However it's pretty wet from the rain we got during the night and it looks like we could even get some more. So, I guess it's going to be an indoor day!

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!

Saturday, May 1, 2010

Photo Saturday - sunset last Sunday.

Getting class projects finished up for classes next week. Maybe a little yard work if it dries out anytime today.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Friday, April 30, 2010

The card - super simple - stamped leaves and sentiment are from Papertrey. Colors are olive and groovy guava.

Brrrr - it's cold! More like winter than spring that's for sure. Good day to stay indoors and get some chores done!

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, April 29, 2010

The card - image is from Inkadinkado. I inked it with teal, then sponged a bit of navy at the bottom before stamping. Colors are teal, navy and white.

Snow? It's the end of April. What the heck? Have to admit I can't remember it ever snowing this late in April. Guess I don't have to worry about doing yard work today - although I hadn't really planned on it anyway - the forecast called for rain. (not snow!) Have some class stuff to finish up and lots of household chores I need to do.

Have a great day!

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

The card - this card was inspired by a card Deb did with us in stamp club a couple weeks ago. I loved the black & white look and using just the outline of the flower (Awash with Flowers). I just changed the direction of the card and added some flower soft to the center of the flowers.

It's supposed to be very windy today so the yard work will have to wait for another day. I guess I will just have to spend the day stamping - what a shame, huh?

Have a great day!

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

The card - tulip is made with the 'wing' from the SU bird punch. Scallop rectangle is from nestabilities. Colors are pink pirouette, black and white.

I got quite a few rose bushes trimmed yesterday, but still have a lot to do. So, it's back to the yard work today. Class tonight.

Enjoy your day!

Monday, April 26, 2010

The card - some more Awash with Flowers (SU) Colors on this one are olive, melon, and pumpkin.

It's time to start the yard work - oh boy! According to the weather man today and tomorrow are the only nice days we are going to have all week so...........I guess I better get to it and try to get as much done as I can in the next two days.

Have a fabulous day!

Sunday, April 25, 2010

Scrappin' Sunday - a matching page to last week's layout. Paper is from Basic Grey.

Bagging class kits today. Jeff is coming out this afternoon to replace some shingles that blew off the roof last week and I told him I'd cook dinner as payment - that means a quick trip to the store for a couple of things I need for dinner.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Photo Saturday - I'm amazed that the wind this week didn't blow all the pretty tree blossoms away.

Looking forward to a day with The Good Time Girls today. Although it's going to be a small group this month it's always a fun day and I'm hoping to get lots done!

Have a great day!

Friday, April 23, 2010

The card - a bit more of Awash with Flowers (SU) Colors are razzleberry and olive.

Think I will try to do some errands this morning before the rain that they are forecasting gets here. Then it will be back to work on class projects. I did get a bit done yesterday, but not as much as I hoped - guess I used up all my mojo on Wednesday. Only have 1 more 2-page layout to do though, so hopefully that will come together today.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, April 22, 2010

The card - stamps are from Papertrey (Blooming Button Bits) Colors are groovy guava, olive and chocolate.

Working on more class projects today. I was quite productive yesterday so now I just have to keep the momentum going today.

Have a fabulous day!

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

The card - another one with Awash with Flowers. ( SU) Colors are kraft, chocolate, white, caramel and olive.

I think I am going to try and get some class projects done today. So, here's hoping for a creative and productive day.

Have a great day.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

The card - used Judy's bird punch (SU) for this one. I'm not much of a bird person but I do like the card. Colors are riding hood red, chocolate, and olive. The scallop punch at the bottom is a new one I got from EK Success. Sentiment is from Papertrey.

Have a lot to get done this week - just not sure where to start - still haven't quite figured out what the plan is. I'm sure I can figure out something to start with if I just put my mind to it.

Enjoy your day!

Monday, April 19, 2010

The card - just got this new set from SU - Awash with Flowers. Love it - I spent most of my stamping time the last few days playing with it. The colors I used for this one are basic grey, amethyst, lilac, regal rose and olive.

I really need to get myself organized today and make my plans for the week. It's time to get started on the yard work - and there's a couple of other projects I want to do. Just have to make a plan and stick with it. (easier said than done some days). So, today I will get things ready for class tonight and then figure out my plan for the rest of the week.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Scrappin' Sunday - a very simple layout with pictures from Rifle Falls. Paper is Basic Grey.

Since I've spent the last several days stamping I think I need to get some household chores done today - or maybe not! At least I'll give it a try.

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend.

Saturday, April 17, 2010

Photo Saturday - in just the last few days I've noticed the trees are getting green and the blossoms are out - had to stop when I was in town doing errands and take a few pictures. So pretty.

Judy S is coming to stamp this afternoon - looking forward to a fun day!

Enjoy your day.

Friday, April 16, 2010

The card - still playing with buttons - this stamp came from a set called Everyday Button Bits by Papertrey. Sentiment is SU. Colors are white, celery and melon mambo.

Stamping, errands, chores - not necessarily in that order. Plenty to do to keep me busy, that's for sure.

Have a great day!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

The card - stamp is from SU - colors are olive, vanilla and a touch of ruby red.

I think I will try to get caught up on some household chores today - I have a feeling that the yard work will be taking over my time starting next week - oh joy!

Enjoy your day.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

The card - stamp is from SU (Herb Expressions). Colors are Lavender and celery.

Have no real plans for today except for class tonight. I may go do some shopping, or maybe spend the day stamping - or maybe a little of both.

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

The card - back to some of my favorite colors - baja and chocolate. Sentiment stamp is from Papertrey - I think the swirl is from Inkadinkado.

Class this morning and then again tonight - maybe errands in between. Busy day.

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, April 12, 2010

The card - another one from Blooming Button Bits (Papertrey) Colors are kraft, chocolate, olive and melon mambo.

Gosh, yesterday was just a totally perfect day weather-wise. I probably should have been outside doing yard work, but I didn't want to ruin a perfectly good day. Can you tell I'm not really excited about that part of spring? But I do love the nice sun-shiny days!

I am going to try and get some chores done today (laundry being one!) and I am looking forward to Stamp Club with Deb tonight.

Enjoy your day.

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Scrappin' Sunday - pictures from New Year's Day. I didn't take many pictures so didn't have much to work with - good thing this paper from Bo-Bunny was so pretty, I didn't have to cover it up. Background was a class layout.

Got the class projects finished yesterday - yea! Now it's on to cutting and bagging today. I may take a break from that this afternoon and go do a couple of errands - it seems a shame to hide in the house and not get out and enjoy a least a little of the beautiful sunshine we're having!

Have a great day!

Saturday, April 10, 2010

Photo Saturday - a sure sign of spring.

Well, Judy's reputation is intact. The Mexican Pie turned out well - we all thought it was pretty yummy!

I must get my class projects finished today. So I will be in my stamp room trying to be creative.

Have a wonderful day!

Friday, April 9, 2010

The card - stamp is from SU (Asian Artistry) Colors are not quite navy, olive, and riding hood red.

Loving this spring-like weather! Sunshine is good! I actually got outside and sprayed weeds yesterday.

Looking forward to our regular Friday night get-together tonight. I'm cooking dinner - trying a new receipe that Judy S recommended - so if it's a flop I guess I can always say it's Judy's fault!

Enjoy your day.

Thursday, April 8, 2010

The card - more from Blooming Button Bits (Papertrey) Card is kraft - stamping is done in black.

Have to get ready for our Shoebox Club tonight - however I did get my project done yesterday so all I have to do is cut the kits today. We're celebrating some birthdays tonight too so I am going to make icecream. And maybe I can even get some more work done on class projects.

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

The card - stamp is from SU (Asian Artistry) embossed in white. Butterflies are SU die. Card is River Rock and white.

Hair cut and errands today. Hopefully I won't get blown away by the wind - geez, it was nasty yesterday!

Have a great day.

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

The card - more buttons - stamp from Papertrey Ink. Colors are white, perfect plum and artichoke.

Gosh, I will be glad when the wind stops blowing - all I can smell is dirt! The forecast says rain, which would almost be a good thing at this point.

Working on some projects today and then class tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, April 5, 2010

The card - stamps are from SU (Le Jardin Botanique) Colors are regal rose and olive.

Have to get kits cut and bagged today for class tonight. And maybe I can get started on class projects for next week.

Have a wonderful day.

Sunday, April 4, 2010

Wishing you a

Happy

Easter!

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Photo Saturday - just a nice scenery shot taken at Rifle Falls.

Today - cleaning house. Yuk! But it must be done since I am having guests (16) for dinner tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day!

Friday, April 2, 2010

The card - another one from Paptertrey (Blooming Button Bits). Colors are celery and Pink pirouette.

Snow? It's April - what's up with that? Guess I shouldn't be too surprised - I got married in April and it snowed that weekend too (37 years ago!). Hopefully the spring weather will return soon.

Judy S and I are taking our friend Molly to brunch this morning for her birthday - that will be fun! Then I need to do some grocery shopping for Sunday's dinner. Tonight Deb, Emily and I are going to Sherry's for a homecooked meal (yay!) and some stamping time!

Enjoy your day.

Thursday, April 1, 2010

The card - I've been playing with a stamp set I recently got from Papertrey Ink - Blooming Button Bits. What fun! Now I'm on the lookout for buttons. This card was done with that set - card is kraft and saffron. Stamping is celery.

Working on class projects today. Good day to stay inside anyway since it's cold and raining!

Have a great day!
