Oops, sorry I missed yesterday - having too much fun celebrating.  Went to see a battleship (the Iowa) on Saturday and on Sunday my cousins and their kids were all here to celebrate my birthday!  It was a great birthday weekend!  Yesterday we went to lunch with more relatives.  It's been a great trip- I love spending time with family!!!!   Today we're going to have lunch on the beach (another birthday celebration) and do a a little shopping.  Life is good!!!!!

Well, today is the first day of June!  Woo hoo!  For those of you who have been following this blog for a while you might remember that my birthday is the middle of June - some of you might be wondering then, why I'm excited about the first of June.  Well.....because it's my BIRTHDAY MONTH!  Yep, I like to stretch that celebrating out just as long as I can.  And it begins tonight - isn't that lucky?   We have our Shoebox Club tonight but instead of doing cards we're celebrating my birthday!  Awesome!  And so it begins....I LOVE Birthday month!!!!!

The care - this card didn't really scan very well....it looks much better in real life :)  It's a simple card, but works well for a sympathy card, I think.  I used an embossed background and then just added a leaf die cut to the smaller panel along with the sentiment.  The small panel is popped up.

Lots of paper work to get done this morning from a Thirty-One party last night.  Thanks, Karen Holt for that great party!  (she had a super group of ladies and ended up getting a ton of free stuff!)  After I get all that organized this afternoon I am going to meet a friend at The Craft Studio downtown and spend a couple of hours knitting!

The card - flower stamp is from SU.  I stamped it in black, matted it with black and then added some black checked ribbon.  The panel is then popped up.  An embossed border down the side adds a bit of decoration and is super simple.

'Grandma time' today and then Friday night crafting.   I've had a bit of baby withdrawal the last few days, but oh my, I've actually gotten some stuff done around here.  I never got around to doing any stamping, but the closets (the ones with clothes) are cleaned out, the garage is straightened up and the lawn is fertilized! Yay!

The card - Some printed paper, flowers and leaves from Prima and a sentiment.  Wow - super easy!  The sentiment block is popped up and I added some pearls in the center of the flowers.

Gosh, I'm on a roll these days.  Got the closets cleaned out yesterday and have a trunk full of stuff to take to Goodwill.  Have a few errands to get done today, but think I'll try to find some time to get some stamping done too!

The card - a nice, easy one.  I embossed the back panel and then just added a punched butterfly and a sentiment.  I stamped the butterfly on some Tim Holtz printed paper in black and then punched it out.

Time to get my closets cleaned out.  Half of the winter clothes are still still mixed in with some of the summer stuff.  Time to get it organized.

The card - mores super simple.  The flower is from Hero Arts and the sentiment is Stampabilities (Hobby Lobby)  The black paper is actually printed dark gray - it just doesn't show up well.  The flower panel is popped up to add a little dimension.  

Awww....a free day!  Oh my.  Plenty to do, just haven't made a plan so not sure where to start.  My only actual goal is to get fertilizer on the lawn today!  I should be able to manage that :)

Photo Saturday - This is what it looked like on Grand Mesa just 2 days ago.  Yep, this is springtime in Colorado.  We only had rain here in the valley, but it has been way cold the last few days.  So far it looks like my flowers made it through ok and it's supposed to warm up now - yay!

Whew - today is the first day I've had free for a while.  Love that Hudson and  having him for most of two weeks has been awesome, but I haven't gotten anything done!  Lots to do today....I just have a feeling there is not going to be enough hours in just one day to accomplish it all!  But I'll give it a good try!

This is a Thirty-One 'Littles Carry-All".  I have several of these I use - they are just the right size for embossing folders!  I also have one I use for SU stamp sets that I am using for class.  When the month is over I know just where those sets are to put the pieces of the set away that I've been using.

Sorry, still haven't gotten any stamping done, so for the next couple of days I am going to show you some organization ideas!  I just got these drawers to put my washi tape in.  I saw them (probably on Pinterest ) and decided to give them a try.  Wow - I love them.  I got them from Amazon (stackable 3-drawer organizer for glasses)  I had all my washi tape just thrown in a plastic bin - this is so much better!!!!  

Today is 'Grandma time' and then class tonight.

Sorry, no card today!  I haven't had any time to get any stamping done - hopefully I can get some done tonight.  I am getting so far behind.....but there seems to be so much going on I can't keep up.

I did get most of my flowers planted yesterday - whew!  One  job out of the way.  I have just a few left to do, but that will have to wait til at least Friday!

An extra day of Grandma time today - yay!  And then an unexpected visit from one of my California cousins tonight - yay!  It's going to be a great day!

The card - got a new embossing folder the other day ...I like it!  The right side of the small panel is stamped a couple of times with a grunge stamp.  The butterfly is punched out and popped up.  The entire small panel is also popped up.

The card - got some new Altenew stamps.  Love these flowers.  A simple layout.  The flowers are stamped (3 layers), cut out and popped up on the banner.

The card - flower stamp is an old stamp from Magenta.  I stamped the image on the card front with a matching color of ink to get just a shadow effect.  I inked the stamp with markers for the color on the white panel.

Photo Saturday - I am getting quite the collection of 31 bags :)   I really felt the need to get them somewhat organized the other day so I spent some time hanging up some hooks and getting them hung up on one of the classroom walls.   It makes it easy to see what's there and easy to find exactly what I want to take to a party.  

Trying to motivate myself to get some stamping done today....not sure why I'm having such a hard time with that, but just not in the mood I guess.
