A bit more work on the patio this morning.    Just adding a few decorative touches.  Then I get to pick up Hudson from school (early release today!) and we get to have a few hours of 'grandma time'.  Yay!

Got a good start on the patio yesterday.  Spray painted some furniture and cleaned up the neighbors weeds that were hanging over my fence!  Think I should be able to get it put together this morning.   I'm looking forward to lunch with friends today!

Photo Sunday - oh my, the time just goes by so fast!

Never did get to the stamp room yesterday.  As happens quite frequently I got totally sidetracked.  I've got an entire list of things I want to get done before it gets cold - and some things I just want to get done, nothing to do with the weather!  But I got started on organizing some stuff in the laundry/utility room and that took me all day!  Feels good to have it done though!  Today, I do plan on spending some time stamping!  :)

Aw, Hudson goes back to school today.  We've had a great summer vacation and I am going to miss having him around during the week!  I'm making a whole list of things I want to get done in the next few weeks so that should keep me busy for a while! Today, the list starts with getting a hair cut!  After that, who knows!

I was very productive yesterday!  Yay!  This morning I am going to put some fertilizer on the lawn and then run to the Farmer's Market to get some more peaches.  Then my plan is to spend the day in the stamp room - my goal is to finish getting cards done for class!

The card - smallest panel is die cut, matted and popped up.  I used a script stamp in the background.  The squares are stamped randomly with some grunge and then popped up.  Leaf stem is die cut and added to the top of the squares.

Never did get the lawn mowed yesterday.  Too much rain and humidity - it was too wet to mow.  So, I spent the day in the stamp room trying to be productive and work on class projects.  Now it's time to get the outside work done that I had planned for yesterday!  (hoping the grass has dried out!)

Project Sunday - another finished project from my friend Nancy.  She was so excited to get this finished that she took it home and hung it up - a bit of Christmas in July!  

I survived the birthday parties yesterday - they were actually great fun!  Now the boys can have a 'family day' and I can get the lawn mowed and then spend the rest of the day stamping with my friend Karen.  Yay!  I'm so excited!!!

Dinner, movie and an overnight last night.  Today we have two birthday parties - well, Hudson has one and they both are invited to the other one.  So, in just a few we'll be leaving for the 1st one and then the second one is at noon.  I WILL  survive this day.  Hahaha!

The card - some more of that cool patterned paper.  I matted a piece of the patterned paper with a darker piece of card stock.  Then I stamped the sentiment directly on the patterned piece and then die cut the label.  I popped the label up back in the opening and added a bit of twine.  So easy!

'Grandma day' with Hudson.  We ended up going to the Botanical Gardens yesterday.  Hadn't been there for a long time so that was a nice little adventure.  And we went to Munchies for ice cream after lunch!  Great day!  Both boys are spending the night tonight so we will pick Ethan up this afternoon, go to dinner and then watch a movie before bed.  I love overnights!

Project Sunday - this is a project that my friend Karen brought for show and tell to our Needle Keepers group.  It's absolutely amazing - so much detail and lots of work!  

Had a fun day yesterday - got to spend the afternoon with my friend Eileen.  Hadn't seen her for a while and it was nice to catch up.  We had a great lunch and then went to see the new Mission Impossible movie.  Not sure what I'm doing today.  Have to think about it a while :)

The card - I found some really cool patterned paper at my favorite local store (Seasons to Follow) the other day.  Using it for cards is so easy!  For this one I stamped the sentiment on the panel, then die cut it and then popped it up in the same opening.  Added a bow of twine.  So easy!  And so pretty!
