Wow - the thunder, lightening and rain kept me awake for quite some time last night.  So, now I'm getting my day started a bit later than normal.  But, I'm hoping to get some stamping done as soon as I can keep my eyes open :)

The card - a bit of fun!  I stamped the images on the panel BEFORE I embossed it.  I rubbed a bit of ink on the inside of the embossing folder to make the 'bricks' stand out a bit more.    

It's a bit dreary out this morning - we're finally getting some rain, which has cooled things off , but I'm not fond of dreary.  Good day for stamping I guess - and I need to get some done, so that may be my plan for the day.   (can you tell I didn't really have a plan for today!)

Thanks for all the encouraging comments.  I had a nice long phone visit with my daughter yesterday - she is home now and feeling better.  I will be going to stay with her in October while her husband is gone to see his parents.  And Jeff and Sara were here for dinner last night - lots of talk about the coming baby which is fun.  All is well!!!!!

OK, I've officially lost it.  If you noticed that there was no post yesterday.......I forgot to post!  Yes, I had internet, I just forgot.  Now, I have to say, that has never happened before.  Too many things to think about I guess.

I do have some really fun, good news - I'm going to be a Grandmother...first time...yay!  I'm so excited.  My son Jeff and his wife Sara are having a baby in March.

The news on my daughter is not so good, however.  Tracy has been dealing with 'warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia' for over a year now.  They were going to schedule her for surgery to have her spleen removed in the near future.  However, when she went in for her regular appointment on Monday, they found she had blood clots on her lungs.  She is in the hospital for a few days, but should be released in the next day or so.  She will be taking blood thinners, which means the surgery will likely be postponed for several months.  I can only imagine how frustrating this is for Tracy and as a mother it is hard to know my child is suffering. I have the best son-in-law in the world, however.  Tony has been marvelous and I am so grateful that Tracy has such a loving person there for her!

Enough.......just wanted to fill you in on what is happening in my world.  (now you can see why I might have forgotten one little post :)

Having a great time in Denver!  Yesterday we drove up north and went to the wool shop - it wasn't in our original plan, but we made a last minute decision.  Then we headed downtown and did a little shopping at the 16th Street mall, and then dinner at Hard Rock Cafe.  Today we're headed south for shopping at the Container Store and Ikea - yay!
