The card - the right side of the background panel is embossed with a brick pattern (Tim Holtz) (I sponged the inside of the folder) The smaller panel is die cut , matted and popped up. I stamped a bit of grunge on the panel, then stamped the flower (SU) and colored it with copics.
'Grandma time' today. That's all.
Have a great day!

The playset - yesterday's progress is shown in the picture on the right. (and that was working on it all day!) The bottom photo is what it should look like when it's all put together! It has a ways to go 😉
Sara has the day off today, so I'm not on Hudson duty today. Trying to get some stamping done, but the internet is not cooperating and even my tv seems to be acting weird. Who knows. But hopefully I can be at least a little productive today!
Have a terrific day!

Photo Saturday - the devastation from the Grizzly Creek Fire. (Glenwood Canyon) The interstate has opened, but with warnings that it could be closed at any time due to falling rocks etc. Glenwood Canyon has always been a beautiful scenic drive and it is just so devasting to see this. The good news is the fire is now over 70% contained.
In other fire news the one closest to us - The Pine Gulch Fire- is now 77% contained. That has helped tremendously with the smoke and ash in the air. Our thanks and appreciation go out to all the fire fighters and the people working on all 4 fires in Colorado.
Jeff promised Hudson a new playset when they moved - he had to order it and it finally came yesterday - lots of boxes and lots of parts and pieces. He's going to start working on it today, so I'm going out to basically help keep Hudson occupied! We'll see how far he gets.
Have a terrific day! Stay safe!

The card - the background panel is embossed with the subtle folder (SU) - although I know it is hard to see. The smaller white panel is die cut, matted and popped up. I stamped one set of leaves directly on the smaller panel, then I stamped the other leaves on a seperate piece and diecut them out. I popped the die cut ones up.
No idea what I'm doing today. I didn't make any plans and the free day kind of snuck up on me. Hmmm....I'm sure I can think of something.
Have a marvelous day!

The card - The leaves (SU) are stamped along the outside edges of the small white panel. A bit of added grunge, some bling and a sentiment. Pretty easy.
Time to mow the lawn, do a run to the grocery store and then I can enjoy an afternoon of knitting with friends and then an evening of stitching with friends. Sounds like a good day to me!
Have a great day!

The card - to get the strip at the top I inked a clear block using three different green inkpads. I just used the edge of the pad to apply ink directly to the block , sprayed it with a bit of water and then stamped it at the top of the panel. After it dried I stamped the leaves directly over the top and then added a bit of grunge and the sentiment.
A totally free day today! I'm hoping to be productive in the stamp room today!
Have a wonderful day!

The card - not a lot of stamping on this one! The background and smaller green layer are embossed (SU). The white layer is die cut. The flowers are punched from a sheet that I stamped with the distress background stamp. The leaves are die cut.
Time to get the house cleaned ....it's been a bit too long. That's my goal for the day.
Have a wonderful day!

Hudson started Pre-K this last week. He's growing up sooo fast.
Some more 'Grandma time' today. He spent the night so we're having a fun weekend! Need to get the lawn mowed and then we can move on to something a bit more fun. Although it may be an indoor day - the smoke in the air is making it hard to be outside for very long!
Have a wonderful day!

Photo Saturday - the Pine Gulch fire on the Bookcliffs just north of Grand Junction - still burning - over 130,000 acres. The air is filled with smoke and some mornings we wake up to ash covering everything. The 100degree temps don't help. But.....we can be thankful that there are no lives lost and it is not threatening any homes so far. Some ranches have been evacuated.
The fire in Glenwood Canyon is still going strong also. I70 has been closed for over a week - a hopeful date for re-opening is September 1. So much destruction. And I know California is struggling with fires too and entire communities have been evacuated. So sad.
It's going to be a 'Grandma day' for me! Yay!

The card - just some pretty patterned paper cut into different size strips and popped up on the front of the card. The sentiment is stamped on one of the strips, I left a bit of space between each strip and I added a bit of bling. Super Easy!
I have no plan for today - oh-oh. No idea what I'm going to do. Maybe it's a break day - reading, napping and doing nothing - LOL! I'm not very good at those - I get too restless. We'll see. Looking forward to Friday night crafting tonight!
Have a terrific day!

The card - the background is patterned paper. Everything is stamped directly on the background and then I die cut the rectangle from the center, matted it and then popped it up in the opening. I added a bow of twine and popped the sentiment up on top.
I actually managed to get all my chores done yesterday - woo hoo! Now I can relax today and spend the afternoon with my knitting friends and tonight I'll be making dinner and stitching with some stitching friends. Sounds like a good day to me!
Have a super great day!

The card - flowers (SU) are embossed with white on die cut circle. There is a strip of embossed paper across the lower part with an added punched scallop border at the bottom. The sentiment is also embossed with white at the bottom.
My plan is to get some chores done around here today......if I can get myself motivated! I did get a bit of stamping done yesterday - yay! Looking forward to dinner with friends before class tonight!
Have a terrific day!
Tuesday, August 18, 2020
The card - background is embossed (Old World paper SU). The smaller circle is punched out of patterned paper and matted on a larger circle. tagis popped up with some added silver string.
I need to get class projects cut and bagged today. Maybe I can also get some stamping done (hopefully that will work out better than it has lately!) I have some new stamping stuff to play with, so maybe that will motivate me!
Have a wonderful day!
Monday, August 17, 2020
The card - sunflower (SU) is stamped with black and then colored with Copics. The sentiment (Papertrey Ink) is stamped in black.
Whew - yesterday was a smoke filled day. It was too hot to not have the swamp cooler running, but it filled the house with smoke - smelled like a campfire in here all day! And ash was falling from the sky like snow. Can only imagine how awful it is when you live close enough to a fire like this to have to evacuate,,,,so scary!
'Grandma time' today, That's all.
Have a super great day!

Photo Sunday - more fire in Colorado. These photos (from CDOT) are from the Grizzly Creek fire in Glenwood Canyon. Thsi is I70, the main corridor thru the mountains - it has been closed for a week now with no estimated time to open. This fire is much father away from us, (about 100 miles) but the interstate being closed is starting to cause some major issues for the western slope. Colorado desperately needs some rain!!!!I'm really going to try and get some stamping done today. Yesterday I ended up helping a friend get ready for a yard sale, so no stamping happened then! I'll try again today if I can get myself motivated!
Looking foward to dinner with a friend this evening!
Have a great day!

Photo Saturday - this is a picture taken from the Moument showing the Pine Gulch fire in the distance. This fire is 18 miles north of Grand Junction and is currently burning over 70,000 acres. It is the largest active wildfire currently burning in the U.S.
Time to get some yard work done this morning. Hoping to spend the afternoon stamping - and hopefully being more productive than I was earlier in the week!
Have a wonderful day!

The card - images (SU) are stamped directly on the background panel. I made a small frame using two die cuts together for the sentiment. Pretty darn easy!
I gotta admit, I sure haven't been very productive this week! But that's ok. Not even sure what I'm going to do today. Everything in the house and yard seems to be fairly under control at the moment so.......... Looking forward to Friday night crafting tonight though!
Have a terrific day!
Thursday, August 13, 2020
The card - the back panel is die cut and it's stamped with just a bit of leaves and tiny flowers. The smaller panel is also die cut and it is popped up. The leaves and tiny flowers are stamped directly on the panel, the bigger flowers are stamped, punched out and popped up.
Need to get a couple of chores done this morning but looking forward to a relaxing afternoon with knitting friends and then an evening of stitching with friends!
Have a super great day!
Wednesday, August 12, 2020
The card - the background is a piece of white cardstock - I masked off the corner and then stamped and sponged the area. The leaves are stamped directly on the background. The flowers (SU) are stamped in black, then stamped with a grunge stamp to color and then cut out and popped up.
Yesterday was not a real productive day (stamping wise) - just couldn't seem to get in the groove. Hopefully today will be better!
Have a great day!
