The card - the background is strips of colored cardstock.  I embossed the entire panel and then rubbed a white ink pad lightly over the top of the embossing.  Sentiment  pieces are die cut.  

Not sure what the plans are today.  Sara has the day off and said she'd let me know if the boys will be here or not.  So, I'm playing the waiting game......
