Verve stamps, SU paper. Colors are not quite navy and kiwi.

I ended up playing in my stamp room all day yesterday. Dug out some old stamps and played with some new ones - had a great time and got lots done. Yea! Today I am going to get some not so fun chores done (like laundry) so I will be ready to conquer the coming week!

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend.

Saturday, April 18, 2009

Here's another card done with stamps from Papertrey Ink. (Life) Colors are Mellow Moss and Perfect Plum (haven't used those colors in a very long time)

Have no clue what I'm going to do today. Maybe nothing. I should rest up this weekend because the weather is supposed to be really nice next week and that means I will need to start on yard work. Warm weather sounds really nice - yard work, not so much!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Friday, April 17, 2009

Nice and easy - Verve stamps - riding hood red paper. Scalloped square is made with nestabilities.

Need to get some chores done today. Playtime tonight and I need to figure out what I'm going to work on.

Enjoy your day!

Playing with some new stamps from Papertrey. This set called Life is really a fun one. Colors are kraft and black.

Have a wonderful day!

No brads - no ribbon - oh my! Just a simple layout using SU's Fifth Avenue Floral stamps and Urban Oasis paper. Images are stamped with baja and kiwi.

Need to do a little paper work this morning, then I think I am going to spend the day stamping - need to get cards done and get started on some class projects.

Happy stampin'

Can't really say this is one of my favorites, but I liked the layout (think it came from the SU catalog). Colors are sahara sand, chocolate and sage shadow. Flower is SU. (Echoes of Kindness)

Class this morning and again tonight. Maybe I can get a little stamping done in between.

Have a wonderful day.

Monday, April 13, 2009

Cutting and bagging card class kits today - an all day job. Stamp Club with Deb tonight so I have a fun evening to look forward to.

Saturday, April 11, 2009

More with SU's Great Friends stamp set. Very simple - color is saffron.

Today is house cleaning day. It's past time. If I get myself in gear maybe I can get it done and then have time to stamp later.

Have a great weekend.

Friday, April 10, 2009

Simple layout - Butterfly is from SU's Great Friend - colors are not quite navy with a touch of kiwi. I stamped & embossed the saying in white and then used the swiss dots embossing folder.

Grocery shopping this morning. (not my favorite thing to do) Playtime tonight - maybe I'll dig into my new stuff!

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Tried something a little different with this flower (SU's Fifth Ave Floral) - I stamped the flower three times then cut a section from each one and popped them up to add a little dimension. Kind of a nice effect. Colors are baja and chocolate.

Judy S and I had a great time in Delta yesterday. I went a little overboard on the retail therapy, but I got some great new stuff - now I just need to find the time to play with it all!

Household chores today and then Shoebox Club tonight.

Enjoy your day.

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

I used one of SU's sets from the new mini catalog for this card. (Great Friends). Colors are celery and pink pirouette.

Taking a play day - Judy S and I are going to Delta for lunch and retail therapy.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

A bit of color today - flowers are from SU's Fifth Avenue Floral, saying is from Define Your Life, paper is Urban Garden. Colors are Not Quite Navy, Kiwi, and Baja.
Have a whole list of stuff to get done today - errands, paper work, laundry, and since it's supposed to be nice this afternoon I hope to get some weeds taken of in the yard. Then class tonight. A busy day.
Happy stampin'

Monday, April 6, 2009

I really liked the simplicity of this card. Stamp and paper from SU.

Back to work on class stuff today......

Enjoy your day.

Sunday, April 5, 2009

A touch of spring today. Stamp is from SU - colors are celery and saffron.
I got my Easter cards done yesterday - yea! Now it's back to work on class stuff.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Black & white, buttons, brads and flower punch. Pretty darn easy!

Need to get my Easter cards done today and get cards done for class. That should keep me busy.

Happy stampin'

Friday, April 3, 2009

Thought this would make a good "guy card". I used an old background stamp on the panel, then stamped the image (from Verve) and added a couple of brads. Easy!
Looks like my plans for the day may change. Judy S and I were planning on going to Delta for lunch and shopping today - not sure the weather is going to cooperate. Darn!
Play time tonight with Deb, Emily and Sherry. Think I will try and get some more scrapbooking done.
Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, April 2, 2009

More with Verve stamps. Colors are amethyst & black. Butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart. Scalloped rectangle is done with nestabilities.

Still more work to do on class projects today............... (not much excitement in my life these days!)

Have a wonderful day.

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

A simple layout with pictures from our trip to California in January. I always love going to the beach, but it's especially nice at sunset.
Class tonight, so it's time to get the project kits together and get the tables cleaned off.
Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Just a few layers on this card - haven't done one of those in a while. Stamps are from Verve (more of my new ones). Colors are kraft, baja and soft sky.
Still working on class projects...........
Have a great day!

Monday, March 30, 2009

Another card with my new Verve stamps. Colors are chocolate and baja.
Brrr- it's way too cold this morning. And snow? What's up with that? I guess it's springtime in the Rockies!!!!
Lots of class stuff to get done this week............
Stay warm - and enjoy your day!

Sunday, March 29, 2009

Another card using the Manhattan Flower embossing folder. I embossed the image on vellum for this card. Kind of a nice effect.

Wow - what a productive day I had yesterday. Kelly, Sue & Eileen can come crop with me any day! They brought lunch - delicious homemade chili, salad and lots of snack goodies and even took my dog for a walk! We cropped for almost 10 hours - thanks, ladies - it was a great day!

Have to decide what to work on today - would like to continue with my scrapbooking since I'm in a groove, but really need to work on some class projects. Oh, decisions, decisions!

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday, March 28, 2009

New stamps! I just got some new stamps from Verve and couldn't wait to play with them. The flowers and saying on this card come from one of the sets that I got. Paper is from Basic Grey.

Sue, Eileen and Kelly are coming to crop today. Should be fun! I'm hoping to get a lot of pages done.

Have a great weekend!

Friday, March 27, 2009

I bet you thought I was done with the white on white thing, huh? Nope. Couldn't resist trying it with this Manhattan Flower. Pretty simple - just the flower and swiss dots.

Playtime tonight - yea! But I do have a few things to get done before that. (like clean off the tables so we have a place to work!)

Have a wonderful day.

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Another cute little tree - this is another one from my shopping trip to Delta. It's a Heidi Grace set. Paper is SU - colors are baja and chocolate. I kind of wish I had used some wider ribbon - oh well, next time.

Today is my daughter's birthday

Happy Birthday Tracy!

Quite appropriate weather today as it snowed the day she was born too.

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

I saw a card like this somewhere in blog land and wanted to give it a try. I really liked the way it turned out. The card is celery - the strips are celery, saffron and burgundy on a black mat. The background grass on each strip is from Verve - the flower stamp is SU. (Flowers in Silhouette) The flower is stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with white. Celebrate stamp is CTMH.

Have to go get a hair cut this morning. Then I'm meeting my friend Leslie for lunch - woo hoo! - that will be fun as I haven't seen her for months!

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

This card layout is one I copied from Deb - she did this "quilt" card at our Shoebox club a couple weeks ago. I changed it up a bit and used different paper and embellishments. The paper is from CTMH and the butterfly is a cuttlebug die/embossing folder. I added some stitch lines to the background.

My creativity seemed to be on vacation yesterday, which means I didn't get much done on the class projects. So, it's back to the drawing board today.

Enjoy your day!

Monday, March 23, 2009

This little tree stamp is one I got at The Scrappy Moose in Delta last week. I just thought it was too cute. (I think it's from Imaginisce) I stamped it in chocolate, then colored the little flowers with baja.

Errands today. Then I have to get to work on class projects.

Happy stampin'

Sunday, March 22, 2009

This card is done with SU's new Manhattan Flower embossing folder. I embossed the piece first, then cut away the end piece. I used my blender pen with baja ink and added just a bit of color here and there. (it doesn't show up much in the picture) I also sanded it just a bit to make the embossing show up a little more, but not sure it made a lot of difference.

I spent the day in my stamping room yesterday. Got quite a lot done. Yea! More of the same today I hope.

Enjoy your day!

Saturday, March 21, 2009

Flower stamp is from SU - butterfly punch is Martha Stewart. Scored lines at the bottom were made with the Scor-Pal.
I had several inquiries about the diamond shape on the card from a couple days ago. It is from EK Success - Diamond Paper Shaper. Ask your LSS to order it for you - or try Hobby Lobby, they carry a large selection of EK Success punches.
Off to accomplish something wonderful today - just not sure what that is going to be yet.
Have a great weekend!

Friday, March 20, 2009

A layout with pictures from our drive over Grand Mesa last month. The smaller pictures are all wallet size.

Chores today and then play time tonight with Deb and Sherry. Yea!

Happy scrappin'

Thursday, March 19, 2009

Not much stamping on this card. I used a punch for the diamond shapes. Paper is from SU. Thought this would make a good "guy card".

Had a wonderful day yesterday. Came home from Delta with a stack of paper and some new stamps. Oh yeah, stuff I really needed! I am going to use them and not just add them to my stash! Yep, I am!

I am going to work on a class project today - have an idea going on in my head and think it's time to actually do it!

Happy stampin'

Wednesday, March 18, 2009

SU's Thoughts and Prayers and Parisian Breeze paper. Colors are baja and chocolate.

Taking a play day today - Judy D and I are going to Delta for lunch and scrapbook shopping. Yea!

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

May your Troubles be less

and your Blessings be more

and nothing but Happiness

come through your Door.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Monday, March 16, 2009

Used an older SU set for this card - Sidekick Sayings. Colors are wasabi, bayou and soft sky.

Today - um - not sure what my plans are for the day. I did get a pile of cards done yesterday to take to the church. Now, of course my stamp room needs to be cleaned up. And the laundry needs to be done. And I need to get started on some new class projects. And.......... guess I can find plenty to keep me busy. Class tonight, so I also need to get that area cleaned up. Yep, guess I won't have time to be bored.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, March 15, 2009

Here is a scrapbook layout from the wedding I went to in January. Loved having the wallet size photos to work with!

I'm planning on spending the day in my stamp room today - need to get some birthday cards finished up so I can take them to the church secretary this week.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Saturday, March 14, 2009

SU's Thoughts and Prayers with kraft (image is stamped with Sahara Sand) Now why didn't I notice that the happy birthday is crooked? oops!

Need to get a little stamping done this morning and then I'm going to a birthday lunch/dinner (what do you call it when it's at 2:00?). That will be fun - and a nice break.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Friday, March 13, 2009

Thought this card would work well for a "guy card". Stamp is from Verve - paper is from SU.

Have to get some errands done today - seems I never got around to it the other day. Tonight will be play time and I'm thinking I will try to get some more scrapbooking done.

Have a great day!

Thursday, March 12, 2009

Very simple and easy card - SU's Fifth Avenue floral stamp - colors are baja and kiwi.

How did it get to be Thursday already? And how did I get so far behind this week? Must be my lack of organization or something - or maybe I'll blame it on the weather! ha! ha! I have Shoebox tonight and don't even have a project in mind yet, so guess I better get started on that.

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

This layout is another one from scrap class. Paper and stickers are from Bo-bunny.

Have to get the rest of the card class stuff cut and bagged today and hopefully will have time to do a few errands this afternoon. Class tonight.

Happy scrappin'

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

A simple spring card - stamp is from SU - colors are kiwi, pumpkin and pretty in pink.

Class this morning and again tonight - have to get busy because I still have to get kits ready - yikes!

Have a great day!

Monday, March 9, 2009

Fifth Avenue Floral with baja, black, kiwi and basic grey. A few layers, but very simple.
Whoa, this time change has messed up my shedule. Over slept this morning - although most of the reason for that is probably that I had chocolate cake too late last night and couldn't go to sleep.
It was a great day yesterday - cooking, stamping, eating (ate way too much), playing games and then more stamping!
Today I must get cards done for card class - didn't manage to get it done before, so now I'm down to the wire. (class is tomorrow morning) Yikes - guess I better get to work.
Have a wonderful day.

Sunday, March 8, 2009

A quick and easy card. Image is from SU's Thoughts and Prayers. Colors are chocolate and old olive.

Company for dinner tonight and Deb is coming to stamp this afternoon. So, I'm off to get some dinner things prepared so I can enjoy my afternoon of stamping.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Saturday, March 7, 2009

Not quite as much snow this morning as in these pictures, but it still looks white out there. This was a layout we did in Scrap Class last month. I loved this paper from Bo-Bunny.

Had a great time with Deb, Emily and Sherry last night. I got 2 two-page layouts done so that was a good thing.

Have to go to the grocery store this morning and then come home and get to work on cards for classes that start next week.

Enjoy your weekend!

Friday, March 6, 2009

I'm thinking spring and the last I heard we were going to be having rain and snow today and tomorrow - NO! It can't be! I want the sunshine and warm weather back.

Today's card is using SU's Echoes of Kindness with pink pirouette, pretty in pink and celery.

Last night we had Stamp Club with Roni - a great time and great cards! Thanks Roni!

Tonight is play time with Deb, Emily and Sherry. Think I'll be working on some more scrapbook pages.

Have a great day!

Thursday, March 5, 2009

I very seldom use plain white pages for my scrapbook pages, but some how it just seemed to work the best for these pictures. The pictures are from our drive over Grand Mesa last September.

Have a lot of odds and ends I want to get done today. Then I need to get started on card class projects for next week. This week is going by much too fast!

Happy scrappin'

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Loved these colors together - Not Quite Navy, Baja and Eggplant. Stamp is from SU's Echoes of Kindess.

Have errands to do today. Hopefully I will still be ambitious enough when I get home to get some stamping or scrapping done.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, March 3, 2009

This is one of the scrapbook pages I did last weekend. I realized after I had taken the picture that I forgot to add the journaling - oops! This was some fun paper that I picked up somewhere and found in my stash.

I'm going to multi-task today - laundry and getting the info together for my taxes. Neither one of which is very exciting but needs to be done. Figure if I get it all done today I can move on to something a little more fun!

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, March 2, 2009

No stamping - all images are rub-ons. I am determined to use up some of this stuff I have laying around. The label comes from a nestabilities set.

Prep for class today - and clean up the mess I left downstairs. I did get the projects done yesterday, now just have to cut and bag. I even managed to get a few scrapbook pages done yesterday.

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, March 1, 2009

A springy (is that a word?) card today. SU's Echoes of Kindess stamp with Guava and Wasabi. Used an embossing folder on the background.

Back to work on class projects today. I got sort of side-tracked yesterday. I was looking through some magazines and decided I needed to clean them out - so, I pulled out any articles and ideas I wanted to keep and threw the rest in the recycle bin. I have been thinking I would do this for a long time, but just never got around to it. But now it's done - yea! - but the class projects didn't get done. So, I guess I better get busy because class is tomorrow night.

Happy stampin'
