The card - flower stamp is from Fifth Avenue Floral - paper is Parisian Breeze. (SU) The blue flower is stamped with chocolate, colored with baja and popped up. I also sprayed it with Glimmer Mist, but it doesn't show in the photo. Colors are baja and chocolate.

Today - yard work this morning, errands this afternoon and class tonight.

Happy stampin'

Sunday, July 5, 2009

The card - simple and easy. I used two of SU's new colors, Bermuda and Suede for this card. Stamp is from Pocket Silhouettes. Thank you is from Paper Inspirations.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday yesterday. We barbecued last night - yummy food, great fun with friends and family. Molly and Judy brought really yummy desserts! It was a very good day.

I am going to take a break from work stuff today and just spend the day in my room doing some 'just for fun' stamping.

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday, July 4, 2009

Have a safe, happy,

star spangled day!

Happy

4th of July!

Friday, July 3, 2009

Just a few layers on this one - but I really liked the look. Stamp set is Happy Harmony (SU), colors are riding hood red, black and white.

Had Stamp Club with Sherry last night - woo hoo! It was great fun and she did some awesome cards. Thanks Sherry!

Today - my only 'job' is to go to the grocery store. The rest of the day I am going to spend playing with my stamping friends - yea!

Happy stampin'

Thursday, July 2, 2009

A little red, white and blue. I liked the layout on this one. Could be used in a lot of different ways. (the star is an old accu cut die)

I think I am going to try and get my class kits done today. That means a day of cutting and bagging - but if I get it done today I can move on to some fun stuff.

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

The card - How easy is this? This is a new quick-kutz embossing folder I got. (they are plastic ones just like the cuttlebug ones) I simply stamped the birthday greeting in the rectangle space in the middle and added some pearls.

I spent all day yesterday working on class projects - they are done! Oh yea! I still have to cut and bag the kits, but the projects are done! Now I want to start on the 7 Gypsies project I have flitting around in my head.

Today I am helping my cousin with a wedding project for her granddaughter. Still have to print one piece, then it's a matter of putting it together.

This is what my table looked liked at the end of the day yesterday - yikes! (that is after 6 cards and 2 2-page layouts) That little bitty space on the right is what I ended up working in. Good thing I started with the 12 x 12 page layouts at the beginning of the day when the table was clean! Why oh why can I not put things away as I go?
Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

The card - pattern paper is Sweet Slumber (SU) - label shapes were made with nestabilities, butterfly is Martha Stewart punch - colors are sahara sand, baja and ruby red.

My goal today is to get the class projects done for classes next week. Maybe a little multi-tasking with some laundry and watering the lawn too!

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, June 29, 2009

Just a little color - stamp is from Echoes of Kindess (SU) - paper is from Razzleberry Lemonade and ribbon is the new polka dot ribbon from SU. Background is the SU top note die on a panel with Cuttlebug swiss dots.

Today - I'm trying to talk myself into getting out and doing some yard work this morning. Hoping to work on some class projects this afternoon.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, June 28, 2009

No stamping on this card. Just pretty paper. This is some of the new Razzleberry Lemonade paper from SU. Flower is a die cut (Sizzix). This is a repeat of a layout I used before. Each layer of the flower is sponged with a bit of color before putting it together.

Yesterday at The Scrappy Moose was great fun - we did two classes, one in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I was exhausted at the end of the day - but it was worth it. I have some great ideas to use for class projects - now just need to put those ideas to work and get the projects done. And, of course, there was a little retail therapy involved, so I came home with some fun new things to play with.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Saturday, June 27, 2009

The card - SU's new Melon Mambo. The stamped image is from Echoes of Kindess (SU). I stamped the image on the white card front. I punched a scalloped rectangle on the Melon piece, embossed it with the cuttlebug added some ribbon and pearls and then popped it up on the card front.

Today - I'm going to Delta to The Scrappy Moose and taking two classes from a 7 Gypsies instructor. Woo hoo! I love 7 Gypsies, but can never seem to get the 'look' they do. It's going to be great fun for me to be able to take a class from someone else for a change!

Enjoy your weekend.

Friday, June 26, 2009

The card - Stamp is Flowers in Silhouette (SU) - paper is Urban Oasis (SU) Card is kraft. Pretty simple.

Well, so much for the summer weather. I've never seen June weather quite like this before. Looks like more clouds, rain and being dreary again today. Guess it's a good day to stay in and stamp! Or scrapbook! Or finish up some stuff I started earlier in the week! Or, who knows, maybe something else entirely. (can you tell I really have no plan for the day?) Looking forward to stamping/scrapbooking time with the girls tonight though.

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, June 25, 2009

A little red, white and blue. Not exactly a 4th of July card, but I saw this card somewhere and decided I'd give it a try. The stamp is from Paper Inspirations - oval is nestabilities, butterfly is Martha Stewart punch.

Wow - I think summer has arrived in western Colorado! It has been down right hot the last couple of days. Kind of a shock to my system to go from temps in the 70's and 80's and cloudy days to 90's and sunshine!

Yard work today. Oh boy!

Happy stampin'

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

I used some of the new SU paper for this card - the printed paper is Razzleberry Lemonade - colors are Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry. I used the markers to ink the stamped image (Flowers in Silhouette). The saying is from Simply Said. I used the solid side of the Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon.

Today I am going to finish up a project I started yesterday - I am taking all of the saying and sentiment stamps out of the SU sets and sorting them by birthday, thank you, etc. I've never seperated any of my SU sets, but decided there were sayings and sentiments tucked away that I never thought about. So........we'll see how this works.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

The card - Stamp set is Soft Summer (SU) - colors are basic grey and pink pirouette.

I have a whole list of things I want to get done in the next couple of weeks - hopefully I can get motivated today to get started with something on my 'to do' list! Class tonight.

Happy stampin'

Monday, June 22, 2009

More new stuff - this card is done with another of the new hostess sets in the upcoming SU catalog. I inked the flowers with the crushed curry marker, then sponged a bit of dusty durango on the edges. I used markers to ink the stems (old olive) and berries (dusty durango).

Get to go to lunch with my friend Kim today - yea! Don't get to see her often enough, so I'm looking forward to it.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, June 21, 2009

This card is done with one of the hostess sets in the new SU catalog. The pot is made from a circle by cutting off a strip at the top and the bottom. Colors are kraft (the card) chocolate, riding hood red and artichoke.

Today - a lot of odds and ends to get done. (like laundry and bills) Nothing too exciting (or even fun)

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Saturday, June 20, 2009

More from the Happy Harmony (SU) set. Paper is from Delicate Dots (SU). Colors are saffron and celery.

Yesterday - wow! Fun! A birthday breakfast - yum! Stamping! A very cool Harley shirt (now I just need the Harley to go with it!!!) Much thanks Molly and Judy!!! Dinner at Red Lobster - yummy! More stamping! AND markers in the new SU in-colors, plus some of the new patterened paper - thank you Sherry!!! More stamping. What a great day!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Friday, June 19, 2009

The card - Stamp is from SU's Great Friend. Paper is from SU's Urban Garden. Colors are not quite navy, baja and kiwi.

Today is going to be a fun, fun day. Molly and Judy S are taking me out for a birthday breakfast, then back here for some stamping time. Sherry is taking me out for a birthday dinner this evening and then back here for even more stamping time! Now does that sound like a perfect kind of day or what?

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, June 18, 2009

Used a favorite 'older' stamp for this card - SU's Happy Harmony. Colors are black and river rock.

Had a lovely, relaxing day yesterday - read a book, took a nap, Jeff took me to dinner at the new Smash Burger place (it was good, but Munchies is still my favorite) and came home and watched a movie.

Not sure what my plan is for today - have lots to do, not sure where to start. Class tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

A clean and simple card today. Stamp is from God's Beauty (SU). I used a blender pen, colored the butterfly with baja. Top is cuttlebug swiss dots, lines were done with the scor-pal.

I'm another year older today. Yep, today is my birthday. Except for going to get a hair cut this morning I have no idea what I'm going to do. I did have a lunch date, but it got changed, so I'm trying to decide what the heck to do with my day. I'm thinking it is a good day to spend in my stamp room. Or reading a book and taking a nap. Or............................? (maybe something wild and crazy)

Have a wonderful day.

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

Not much stamping here but a great way to use up scraps. This paper is from CTMH - sentiment is embossed with white.

I have company coming for dinner tonight - my Uncle, Aunt and cousin from Louisiana are visiting. So, today is a cooking and cleaning day.

Happy stampin'

Monday, June 15, 2009

A simple card using one of SU's new in-colors and a new stamp set (avaialable July 1) Oval is done with nestabilities.

Enjoy your day.

Sunday, June 14, 2009

Another scrapbook page - my usual thing - simple.

I need to get something accomplished today - I really did absolutely nothing yesterday. You'd think I'd be all rested up and full of energy today - um, not so much. But, I'll get motivated here soon (I hope)

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Saturday, June 13, 2009

The card - Stamps are from Verve. Colors are guava and black. Scalloped rectangle is Nestabilities. Pretty darn simple!

Oh my - I had another great "birthday" celebration last night. Deb & Emily took me to Munchies (my very favorite hamburger place) and then to Cold Stone Creamery. Oh yum! AND I have a stack of the new SU in-colors and matching ribbon sitting here to admire! Oh, and then my friend Celisa brought me some of that wonderful pie we had on Thursday night AND some of her husband's oh-so-yummy pizza to have for lunch today! Now how lucky can a girl get? And, it's not even my birthday yet!

I have no clue what I'm doing today. (except admiring my stack of paper and eating pizza) That just may be all I do today.

Enjoy your weekend!

Friday, June 12, 2009

The card - stamps are from Verve. Paper and ribbon are SU celery.
Shoebox last night was great fun! The cards were wonderful - great job ladies. And the desserts were to die for - Celisa brought a pie - oh so yummy, and Judy and Alison brought the makings for brownie sundies - oh my - they were yummy too! We were actually celebrating birthdays (a late one for Celisa, an early one for me!) It was great!
Today - I have to get the work areas cleaned up. Deb is coming to stamp this afternoon and Emily is joining us tonight. I'm hoping to get lots of cards done today - we'll see how that goes.
Enjoy your day!

Thursday, June 11, 2009

A scrapbook page today! We got to watch Tracy play soccer the night we got to Indiana. The pictures aren't the best - digital is not the best for fast moving objects - but what the heck, it's about the memory, not the quality of the photos.

Today I have to get a project done for our Sheobox Club tonight. Um - guess I better to get to work on that!

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

The card - Stamp is from Penny Black. Background is done with the Scor-pal. Scalloped rectangle is Nestabilities. Colors are Not Quite Navy and Old Olive.

When Deb was here on Friday I got to peek at the new SU catalog (coming July 1) and play with some of the new in-colors. Fun! Thanks Deb! The stamp on this card is from one of the new hostess sets. Love the new polka dot ribbon for the new in-colors too. This color is Rich Razzleberry used with black and old olive.
Today - it's going to be a yard work day. I don't know where all those weeds have come from. I had them all taken care of before vacation and now they're back again - darn! Have Stamp Club with Deb tonight to look forward to though! That will be fun, as always.

I had planned on doing some yard work today, but after the rain last night it is a bit wet out there. So, I guess I'll work on getting cards done for classes next week.
Have a great day!

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

Here's one more card done with the Big Birthday Candle set. (it's on SU's retiring list, so if you think you might want this set it will only be available til the end of the month) I used the birthday embossing folder for the background. Colors are Bashful Blue and celery.

More class stuff today - have to get kits ready for tomorrow night's class.

Enjoy your day.

Monday, June 1, 2009

Here is a card that I did when I was playing around with 'inchies'. I sponged a little blue and green on white paper, stamped some random images with black and punched them out with a 1" punch. Attached them to a white piece leaving a tiny border around each one, then added a black mat and attached that to the card front. Pretty easy.

I didn't get my class kits done yesterday, so that will have to be my priority today since I have class tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, May 31, 2009

Simple, but rather pretty. Butterfly is from SU's Great Friend set. Pattern paper is from Walk in the Park (SU). Colors are baja and basic grey.

Enjoy your weekend.

Friday, May 29, 2009

Stamp set is Echoes of Kindness (SU) Colors are pink pirouette and black.

Today - not sure! I'm having a hard time getting back into a groove. The last two days have gone by without much getting accomplished. I think I'll try to work on class projects - I do have projects that need to be done for classes next week.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, May 28, 2009

Just a few pictures from my trip to the mid-west. I didn't really get any awe inspiring scenic pictures on this trip, but I have plenty of just ordinary pictures to do scrapbook pages with. Our first sight seeing stop was in St Louis, where we stopped to see the Gateway Arch.
Gateway Arch in St Louis, Missouri We rode to the top of this in a tiny little 'pod" on the inside of the arch. At the very top (630 ft) there were windows with some awesome views of the St Louis area. This is a view of St Louis taken from the top of the arch.

This is from the Indy 500. It was really hard to get good pictures of cars whizzing by at over 200 mph. I think this picture was when they were running under a yellow flag so they were going just a bit slower. We were sitting on the straight away just after the 4th corner and before the start/finish line. It turned out to be a great place because 6 out of the 8 wrecks happened in our viewing area.

Wednesday, May 27, 2009

I'm back! Wow - what a trip. It went by too fast, as vacation always seems to do. The Indy 500 was totally awesome! I will have some pictures to share in the next day or so.

Today's card is an easy one. Stamp is from Penny Black. Colors are Baja and chocolate.

Today is my day to get myself back in the 'real life' groove. Unpack, laundry, trip to the grocery store.

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

Enjoy your day!
