The card - a hybrid card.  The printed paper and the main image were both printed from the computer using SU's MDS program.  I then cut and matted the pieces just as I would with any paper and added some bakers's twine.

A busy day today - class this morning and again tonight and in between I need to take my car in for a service.

The card -  this is the card I did for our Shoebox Club the other night.  It's a hybrid card - the sail boat is from SU's MDS.  I printed it on white - colored a bit with markers.  The sentiment is stamped.  I added the strips of colored cardstock & matted the piece on black.  Card is Bliss Blue.

 I have a completely free day today - gosh, I'm not sure what I'm going to do.  Maybe nothing - and that will be ok.

The card - stamped images are from Papertrey.  The images are stamped on address labels, then applied to the white mat.  I sponged the labels first, then stamped the images in black.

Need to finish up the class kits today - have class tonight, so getting them bagged is a top priority.

To answer a question from yesterday - when I emboss I use a Versamark pad to stamp the image, then cover with  embossing powder.  My favorite white embossing powder is called Filigree Fine Art Powder made by Superior.  (I think I ordered it from Papertrey).  I also like the Super Fine Detail embossing powder from Ranger.  One of the best things to do (especially when embossing with white on dark colors) is to use an 'embossing buddy' - it's a bag of powder that you wipe the card stock with before stamping the image.   Hope this helps.

Whoa, I'm glad the wind we had yesterday is over!  I think half of Utah is on my patio this morning (there's red sandy dirt all over!)  Haven't checked the roof yet to see if I have any shingles left.  That was some nasty stuff.  I think my tentative plans for a bbq kind of bit the dust as it 's supposed to rain today and only be in the 60's.  Guess it's a good day to get some more work done on class projects.

Great day yesterday!  Just a fun, relaxing time away from home!  I needed that.  Originally thought I'd be able to get a little yard work done this morning before the wind started, but doesn't look like that is going to happen.  Time to work on class projects anyway, so it looks like that will be my plan for the day.  (any excuse for avoiding yard work is good for me :)

Oh my, it looks like we are going to have a nice, sun shiny day today!  Woo hoo!   I had thought I'd be able to do some yard work this morning, but didn't expect it to rain more last night.  Guess I will have to let it dry out for a day or two so I won't be playing in the mud!  But that's ok, I'm just going to enjoy the sunshine!

The card - everything on this card was printed in SU's MDS.  Sherry did this card at our last stamp club and I really liked it but don't have the stamp set yet.  (it's ordered though :)  So I decided to try to replicate it with MDS.  Worked pretty good!   I printed the background on kraft, the flowers on vanilla, then cut out the flowers and popped up the small ones.
