The card - background stamp and tulips are both from Hero Arts.  Colors are basic gray and Island Indigo.

Still working on the garage.  I have the main part almost done - as soon as I finish that I will need to clean out all the cupboards and storage areas where stuff just kind of got piled when I moved.

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

The card - flower is from Penny Black.  Flower and random leaves are stamped on printed paper, matted with a layer of black on a kraft card.

Back to work on the garage today.  I'm beginning to see the 'light at the end of the tunnel" - it's coming together, but still lots of stuff out there to deal with.  Good thing I have a big garage and only 1 car :)

Have a great day!

Tuesday, March 18, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  The images are stamped in black, colored with copics.  The flower is cut out and popped up.  Colors are bliss blue, black and wasabi green.

A spur of the moment invite to Jeff & Sara to come to dinner tonight means I need to make a trip to the grocery store this morning.  Have no idea what I'm making, so I guess I better figure that out :)  Hoping to get a little more work done in the garage this afternoon - I got a bit done yesterday and took a car load of stuff to Goodwill so I did make a little progress.

Enjoy your day!

Monday, March 17, 2014

The card - wood background stamp and flowers are from SU.  I stamped the wood background stamp on smoky slate using smoky slate ink.  I punched a circle in the center and popped the panel up on the card front.(smoky slate)  Flowers are stamped, punched out and popped up on top of die cut leaves. (leaves are basic gray)

All last week my plan was to get some organizing done in the garage - somehow, except for getting some paper sorted, I didn't get much done out there.   But, it's a new week, and I don't have as many commitments, so here's hoping I can be really motivated to get that job done this week!

Have a great day.

Sunday, March 16, 2014

Project Sunday - a wall hanging I finished last week.  'Simplify' is the goal for me these days!

I had quite a productive day yesterday - got a lot of cards done and enjoyed having part of the Good Time Girls around to keep me motivated!  Now I have to get the mess I made cleaned up and hopefully get some work done in the garage.

Have a wonderful day!

Photo Saturday - more from Grand Mesa

The Good Time Girls are coming today - woo hoo!  That means a fun (and I hope productive) day!  I'm going to try and get some stamping done since I'm running out of cards to post.

Have a great day!

Friday, March 14, 2014

The card - flower is from Penny Black.  I added the strip of gold paper to front panel and then stamped the flower and the sentiment.

I spent most of the day yesterday sorting 4 containers of patterned paper - whew!  Going to try and get a bit more done in the garage this morning and then I have to do a couple of errands this afternoon.

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, March 13, 2014

The card - another super simple one.  Background stamp is from Hero Arts.  Sentiment is from Printworks, flower is from Prima.    Colors are calypso, strawberry and cantaloupe.

I never got around to doing either of the things I had planned on doing yesterday - oh my.  I did get my card done for our Shoebox Club tonight though, so that was a good thing.  I do plan on trying to get some organizing done in the garage today as soon as it it warms up a bit.  Hopefully I'll be more productive that I was yesterday :)

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

The card - flowers and embossing folder are from SU.  The flowers are stamped, punched out and popped up.  Sentiment is from Printworks.  Colors are calypso, strawberry and pear.

A bit of a late start again this morning.  Can't quite seem to get used to the time change yet.  Have to decide whether to get some stamping done today or work on getting some of the stamp stuff in the garage organized.  Hmmm.....  whichever I do I will have to make sure the mess I make is cleaned up in time for class tonight!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

The card - flower stamp is from Paper Inspiration.  Embossing folder is from Hobby Lobby.  Colors are white, daffodil and black.

A full day with class this morning and again tonight.  Hopefully I can work in a couple of errands in between.

Have a super day!

Monday, March 10, 2014

The card - printed paper, a sentiment and some bling - can't get much easier than that!

Need to get a lot of odds of ends of stuff done today - including the laundry.  It's going to be a busy week so I need to be ready!

Have a great day!

Sunday, March 9, 2014

Project Sunday - I didn't make this wool applique project, but I just had to share it.  My friend Deb made one of these for Emily, Sherry and I for our Christmas gift.  It is just so cool and it looks even better in real life.  It is hanging in my wool room where I get to enjoy it every day!

Gosh, it seems like I really slept in this morning - I did sleep a little later than usual, but with the time change the clock makes it even later.  Good for me!  That will change as the days go by though.  The morning will go by really fast but that is ok since I'm looking forward to an entire afternoon of stitching at our Black Sheep gathering today.

Have a super wonderful day!

Saturday, March 8, 2014

Photo Saturday - took a drive over Grand Mesa the other day - still lots of snow up there.  It wasn't a very good day for photos though, but I did get a few.

Never got around to working on class stuff yesterday - now it's getting down to the wire so I will have to get that done today.

Have a great day!

Friday, March 7, 2014

The card - the flower is made from layering 3 different sizes of flowers punched from red card stock.  I scrunched them up a bit too.  The sentiment is one I picked up at Hobby Lobby (from Printworks).

Gosh this week has gone by fast!  It sure doesn't seem like I've accomplished much.  But it's time to start figuring out class projects for classes that start next week so I think I better concentrate on that today.

Have a super day!

Thursday, March 6, 2014

The card - some prima flowers, a punched leaf, a sentiment on a banner and an embossed background (from Hobby Lobby).  Pretty darn easy!

I have to get my act together this morning and get something put together to stitch - this afternoon is Wool Gatherer's Club at Hi Fashion and I don't have anything ready to work on.

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, March 5, 2014

The card - simple and fun.  The sentiment is from Printworks (purchased at Hobby Lobby) and the triangles are punched from printed paper with SU's new triangle punch.  The mat behind the front panel is Island Indigo.

Not sure what the plan for the day is.  Lots of things that need to be done...I just need to figure out where to start.  Or, if it turns out to be a nice day I may just go for a drive.  I have a brand new lens for my camera that is still in the box and that's not good.

Have a great day!

Tuesday, March 4, 2014

The card - flowers are from SU.  I stamped them with wisteria ink on wisteria paper and then punched them out with the matching punch.  Splotches are also stamped with wisteria.  The sentiment is one I picked up at Hobby Lobby, I believe it's from Printworks.

I really need to get back to work on the classroom - I make an awful mess when I am organizing and I have class tonight so....... I am making progress but I think that room is a going to be an on-going project for quite some time.

Have a super day!

Monday, March 3, 2014

The card - this is the card I did for our Shoebox Club last month.  The hexagons are stamps and matching punch  from SU.  Colors are pool party, pistachio and coastal cabana.

Well, Sherry ended up staying another day - yay!  So, we all spent the day yesterday getting more stitching done.  What a great weekend we had.  Sherry will be leaving this morning to return home and I must get some work done - I need to get the class projects done for tomorrow night!

Have a wonderful day.

Sunday, March 2, 2014

Project Sunday - this is the start of a set of small table mats I made for Sherry, Deb and Emily for Christmas/birthday gifts.  The mats are 8' and there will eventually be one for each month.  These are for January February and March.

What a great weekend!  Sherry is supposed to be leaving to go home today, but we're hoping the weather in the mountains is bad enough for her to extend her stay for another day!  We'll see - if that happens we are planning to get together for more stitching today!  If she ends up leaving I'm going to try and get some work done in the stamp room/class room.  (I'm really hoping that she ends up staying today :)

Enjoy your day!

Photo Saturday - an old barn on the way to Grand Mesa

A day of stitching today - Sherry, Emily, Deb and I will be attending one of Laura's Open Sew days for most of the day.  Then we will be coming back to the house to celebrate Christmas and Birthdays (Emily & Deb's).  Chicken & noodles for dinner and opening gifts - having too much fun!!!!  (not really, one can never have too much fun!)

Have a wonderful day!

Friday, February 28, 2014

The card - printed paper from SU makes this an easy one to put together.  I added a sentiment on a flagged piece of white, some ribbon and a little texture with an embossing folder.  Easy peasy!

Our friend Sherry arrived safe and sound last night.  My first guest in this house - yay!  Now the fun begins.  Sherry will be going to work for a while today, then we will meet up with Emily and Deb for dinner and Friday night crafting.  Woo hoo!  It's been a while since we've all been together and we've all been looking forward to this weekend.  While Sherry is off at work I'm hoping to get a little more work done in the stamp room/classroom.  It looks a little overwhelming.......might take me a few days!

Have a great day!

Thursday, February 27, 2014

The card - flower is from Paper Inspiration.  I inked the stamp with markers - daffodil and pear.  The strip at the bottom is washi tape.   Pretty darn easy.

No play-day yesterday.  We decided to wait 'til next week.  So, I decided to start on getting some stuff organized in the stamp room/classroom.  Oh my - turned out to be a bigger project than I imagined and now the whole room is a big mess.  Good thing I don't have a class until Tuesday - it will take me that long to get it back together.  No time to work on it today though - have to get some chores done this morning, go to a stitching class this afternoon and then........our friend Sherry is finally going to make it over for a weekend visit.  Yay!  She will be arriving tonight - we're all very excited!  It's going to be a fun weekend.

Have a super fantastic day.

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

The card - stamped flower and strips of paper are  from SU.  The flower circle is popped up.  An easy one!

I think today is supposed to be a play day - at least I sort of remember talk of going to lunch or something.  I guess I will have to talk to my partner-in-crime to find out if it's going to be a fun play day or if I have to stay home and do something constructive.

Have a fabulous day!

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

The card - flowers are from SU, stamped in kraft on white, punched out and popped up on the square panel.

They are delivering my new dining room table today - woo hoo! I had to lower my expectations a bit from what I originally was looking for, but Judy S helped me make a decision on Friday.  So, now I will have a real table instead of a card table in the dining room.

Enjoy your day!

Monday, February 24, 2014

The card - background stamp, splotches and flowers are from SU.  Sentiment is a new one I picked up at Hobby Lobby the other day.  Background is stamped with kraft, splotches are pistachio and flowers are cantaloupe.

Not sure where to start today.  Hmmm......better make a plan or I won't get anything done.  Looking forward to dinner with Jeff & Sara tonight!

Have a great day.

A little more before and after:  the guest room

Before:  This is the smallest bedroom - just enough room for a bed and not much else, but it will work fine for a guest room.

After:  a bit of a hodgepodge of stuff.  The stands by the bed are very old stands that belonged to my grandparents at one time - they don't match, but what the heck, they work for sitting lamps on :)

The closet in this room is really small, almost the same size as the hall closet and has never had a door on it.  So, I added the bench and some ribbed paneling, a shelf with a little decoration and a clothes rod just in case guests have clothes that need to be hung up.    The round table in the corner is another piece that belonged to my grandmother.

Saturday, February 22, 2014

Photo Saturday - reminds me of a Charlie Brown tree :)

It's going to be a stamping day - yay!  Judy S is coming over and we are going to be really productive - I'm thinking positive here!

Have a terrific day.

Friday, February 21, 2014

The card - background stamp is from Hero Arts, flower stamp and sentiment are from SU.  Colors are soft sky and white,

Not sure what the plan is for the day.   Looking forward to dinner and an evening of stitching with Deb and Emily though.

Have a great day!

Thursday, February 20, 2014

The card - printed paper and stamped image are from SU.  The image is stamped in black and then colored just a bit using a blender pen.

The secretary at church called me several weeks ago and said they were running out of birthday cards - oh oh.  I meant to get some put together before this, but somehow it just hasn't happened.  So, that's my goal for today.  Hopefully I can keep the mess at a minimum so I won't have too much cleaning up to do before class tonight :)

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, February 19, 2014

The card - stamped image is from SU.  I stamped the image in black and colored it with markers.  The background embossing folder is from Hobby Lobby.

Off for a full day of stitching - Little Ewe's group today.  I do need to get a couple of things ready so I guess I should get to it!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

The card - printed paper and stamped images are from SU.  Colors are smoky slate, indigo and gumball.

Oh my, a day with no commitments!  Good grief, what will I do with myself?  I do have to call and see about getting a couple of appointments - I'm hoping to work at least one of them in today.  Other than that I guess I better figure out something to work on tomorrow - we have a full day of stitching coming up.  And of course there is stamping that needs to be done.

Have a great day!

Monday, February 17, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  I stamped the flower a couple of times in black on bermuda bay cardstock and then cut it out and layered it.

Have some odds and ends of things to get done today, then I will get ready for class tonight.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, February 16, 2014

Project Sunday - this is a project I had finished stitching several months ago but just hadn't gotten around to putting it in a frame.  I finally got it in the frame so I could hang it on the wall :)

Whew - the paper work is all done!  Yay!  Now I can get back to the fun stuff - stitching and stamping!

Have a fabulous day!

Saturday, February 15, 2014

Photo Saturday - Colorado scenery

I'm hoping to finish up the paper work today - it seems to be taking me longer than usual - there's either more of it, or I'm just getting slower :)

Have a super day!

Friday, February 14, 2014

Happy Valentine's Day

and
Happy Anniversary to
Bob & Judy
Jerry & Celisa

Thursday, February 13, 2014

The card - stamped image is from SU.  I stamped the image in black and colored with copics.  The card is white with daffodil accents.

I got part of the laundry done yesterday and got a start on the paper work.  Not quite as productive as I had hoped.  So, I need to work on both of those things again today, plus figure out a project for Shoebox tonight.

Have a great day!

Wednesday, February 12, 2014

The card - a little grunge (from SU), some washi tape, punched hearts and twine.  Colors are real red and white.

Laundry, paper work and then class tonight - that's on my to-do list for today.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

The card - the printed paper is from SU - I cut a couple of flowers from the paper and popped them up and added a sentiment and some ribbon.  Easy!  Colors are indigo and gumball green.

Full day today - class this morning and again tonight.  Maybe I can work up the energy to go do a few errands in between.

Have a great day!

Monday, February 10, 2014

The card - embossing folder used for background is from SU.   Added some punched hearts and ribbon.  Colors are real red and white.

Have to finish up the class projects today and then get the room cleaned up for stamp club tonight with Deb.  It's going to be a busy week!

Enjoy your day

Sunday, February 9, 2014

Project Sunday - a finished wool project - yay!  This is a table runner that I just finished.  I reduced the original pattern just a bit because I wanted to use it on my dining room hutch and it was a bit too big.

Meeting Deb for breakfast and then we'll be joining the Black Sheep group for a full day of stitching.

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday, February 8, 2014

Photo Saturday - a snowy day on the Colorado National Monument

The Good Time Girls are coming today - yay!  It's always a fun day when they are here!

Have a wonderful day.

Friday, February 7, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  Strips of color are washi tape.

My original plans for the day have changed a bit - our friend Sherry was supposed to arrive today for a weekend visit but, because of the snow in the mountains she decided to postpone her trip for another time.  Bummer!  So, instead of some last minute preparations for her arrival I guess I better try and get some work done on class projects.

Enjoy your day.

Thursday, February 6, 2014

The card - heart stamp is from Hero Arts.  I stamped it in black and then colored just the flower.  Colors are white, black and red.

A little stitching time today - Emily and I will be at the Wool Gatherer's group at Hi Fashion this afternoon.  It will be a nice break.  It was nice to see some sunshine yesterday but we're supposed to get more snow today and tomorrow - it would be nice if the weather prediction turned out to be wrong :)

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, February 5, 2014

The card - stamped images and paper are from SU.  Colors are indigo and gumball green.

I never did get around to working on class stuff yesterday - I got sidetracked doing some odds and ends around the house and the entire day got away from me.  Not good!  I'm going to try and get a bit done this morning, then I'm going to a movie this afternoon with Judy D.  (if the weather isn't too bad).  We're supposed to get a bit of a break with the snow today, but then they're saying there is more coming on Thursday and Friday - ugh!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, February 4, 2014

The card - a little love today.  Strips are washi tape, punched hearts and some bling.  Easy peasy.

Snow, snow, and more snow.  It snowed a lot yesterday, but nothing was sticking to the ground.  Now it's sticking - there's at least 3 inches of the white stuff and it's still snowing.  Ugh!  Glad I went and did a few errands yesterday so I don't have to go anywhere today - good day to get some more work done on class projects :)

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, February 3, 2014

The card - the stamp is a really old one that happened to be in my flower collection so I decided to use it!  The colors are saffron, black and white.

Oh my, yesterday was definitely not a good day for Bronco fans.  But now it's time to move on.....I have got to get class projects done this week so that is going to be my focus today.

Have a great day!

Sunday, February 2, 2014

It's Party Time!

Super Bowl Sunday

GO BRONCOS!

Saturday, February 1, 2014

The hall closet - this was just an ordinary coat closet in the hallway - took the door off, added some ribbed paneling on the back, a bench, some hooks and a shelf and presto - a mini mud room.

Hard to believe it's the first of February - but now it's another month closer to spring!  I didn't think the snow would ever stop yesterday - it snowed for close to 30 hours. Luckily it warmed up a bit so it was melting and not accumulating as much-  thank goodness.  Have so many things to get done this coming week that I guess I better figure out where to start and try to accomplish something today :)

Have a wonderful day!
