Whew!  What a week!  So much fun, so much laughter!  It's been great having my friend Marie (left), her daughter Tammie (right) and Granddaughter Carma (middle) here!  But, they're leaving today so it's back to a quiet house (most days!) and what passes for normal around here.  My friend Karen is coming to stamp today so that will be a fun way to start the new week!  She's been gone on vacation so I'm looking forward to spending some time with her and catching up!  (and maybe I'll even be productive in the process 😂

Whew, yesterday was a whirlwind.  We not only went up to the Monument and then downtown but then we drove up to Grand Mesa after Sara picked the boys up.  Today should be a bit more laid back.  Two of the ladies are going for a hike this morning, then we're meeting another friend for lunch.  I need to pick up Hudson early and then????   Two of the ladies are going for a sunset horse ride.   I'm not sure what Marie and I are doing - we're still working on our plans!  Havin fun though!

Meeting a friend for breakfast this morning.  Then it's back home and time to mow the lawn and deal with some weeds  (hopefully before the forecast rain!)  The boys are spending the night - Hudson wanted a 'double', meaning he decided he wanted to spend two nights in a row. :)  So they will be here starting this afternoon until Sunday morning.  Not sure where that idea came from, but sounds like fun!

The card -  I embossed the background piece and then took a white ink pad and lightly ran the ink pad over the entire piece.  I added a die cut sentiment piece, popped it up and added some ribbon.  Super easy and quick!

I need to get a few chores done this morning ad then I'm meeting some friends at the new store in town to spend the day doing some stitching.  (didn't get any stitching done yesterday since we decided to take a little road trip instead !)  Looking forward to a nice relaxing day and hopefully being productive!

April 16, 2008 was my very first post on this blog.  I can't believe I've been doing this for 16 years today!!!    Wow!  I've posted over 4,000 cards and some other misc stuff.  Amazing!  I hope the card ideas are helpful, but I also use this as a sort of journal of my life.  I hope you don't mind the bits and pieces of my personal life.  (what there is of it 😂)  So, for now, there will be more to come!  

Chores this morning including baking a birthday cake.  We're celebrating a birthday for one of the Needle Keepers this afternoon.  Then it's on to card class tonight.  A full day!
