Photo Saturday - sunrise on Wednesday.

This is the first picture I took with my new camera. I did my taxes early (for me!), anxiously waited for my refund, got it! - and ordered my new camera - a Canon Rebel T1i! I'm so excited! I had SLR cameras for years when film was still the thing - when I switched to digital I thought I would like having a smaller camera. I do love my smaller ones, but have wanted a digital SLR for a LONG time! So......I splurged. I did only get the body (without a lense) since I have 3 lenses from my film cameras that will work. So, the camera came on Tuesday - my excitement for the week!

The Good Time Girls are coming to crop today - fun! I am going to start working on Tracy's wedding album - have a ton (over 600) photos to work with so it is going to be a major project.

Tonight is our Shoebox Club and believe it or not I got my card done yesterday - woo hoo! Today I am going to start sorting and labeling Tracy's wedding photos so I can get started on the wedding album.

The card - a quilt card. Have seen a lot of these lately so had to give it a try. The 'quilt' is pieced together then embossed with an embossing folder. Colors are kraft, baja and white.

Not sure exactly what direction I'm going in today. Have lots of things to do, just need to decide what has priority.

To answer a question from yesterday - the stamp set I used is SU's Nature Walk - it's in the current Occasions Mini Catalog.

The card - butterflies are from Hero Arts. I used Tim Holtz Distress inks for this card. The side panel was sponged with 3 different colors, then spritzed with water. I used the same colors for the butterflies.

I have a big pile of stamps downstairs that need to be sorted and organized - since they're piled all over the tables I need for class tonight I guess it's time to get that organizing job done!

Scrappin' Sunday - this is part of the guest book I did for Tracy's wedding. Instead of having guests sign in we had everyone write on one of the little cream squares that were enclosed in the program. One of Tracy's friend's was in charge of taking a picture of everyone who was there. Then I put them together in an 8 x 8 scrapbook. I thought it was much better than having a book with lined paper and lists of just names. I kept it very simple, didn't add any bulk so it's not a huge book. These are just a few of the pages.

Now I have to get started on the actual wedding scrapbook! That one might take me a while!
