Sunday -   I acutally had a wool project finished I was going to post today...forgot to take a picture of it...duh.   So, here is a little piece of color that we saw at the Botanical Gardens on Friday.

Looking forward to an afternoon of stitchin' at Laura's today.

Have a wonderful day!

Photo Saturday - I took a drive up to Grand Mesa last Sunday.....this lake up near the top is still mostly covered with snow and ice.  Still a bit of winter left up there!

I have a really busy week coming up so today I need to finish up some chores and make sure I'm ready for the coming week!

Enjoy your day!

The card - I think this is a Hero Arts stamp.... I stamped the image with old olive on the patterened paper and then stamped it again with versa mark and embossed it with white.

A 'play day' today!  Woo hoo!  I could use a day of fun. Judy and I are going to breakfast and then we're going to check out the Botanical Gardens.  I've never been there and I'm hoping it will be a good place for some photos.  Looking forward to Friday night crafting with Deb and Emily too!

Have a wonderful day!

The card - washi tape, twine, a senitment and some bling.   Another super simple one.

I'm taking a break from yard work today.... maybe even a couple of days.  Not sure what I'm doing, but I have new stamps to play with and I'm thinking a nice relaxing day is in order.

Enjoy your day!

The card - stamped image is from Hero Arts.  Colors are white and raspberry ripple.

A little more yard work this morning...need to deal with some giganic weeds and water the lawn.....but I did finish up with the rose bushes yesterday - woo hoo!  I'm hoping the 'man in brown'will bring me a stamp order today, so maybe I can even play with some new stuff this afternoon.

Have a wonderful day!

The card - washi tape, prima flowers and a leaf die cut (from SU) and a sentiment - how easy is that?

Trying to motivate myself into doing some more yard work this morning.  I didn't get quite all my chores done yesterday either...but...I did get all the class projects figured out - yay!  Still have some cutting and bagging to do, but I have some time for that!  Have a couple of errands that I need to do too.....and then I will need to get ready for class tonight.  Um....looks like I have plenty to do today!

Have a great day!

The card - - flower stamp is from Penny Black.  I inked the stamp with markers (olive & pumpkin) and added a black pearl.  Super simple.

Ah..another Monday... a new week.  I have a lot of chores to get done today plus I still need to figure out what the heck I'm doing for class tomorrow nightl.  I need to focus today!

Enjoy your day!

Project Sunday - this is the project I did when Deb and I took the hand-piecing class at Laura's.  It's now in Deb's hands getting hand-quilted.  I'm glad I took the class and I learned a lot, but....I will stick to wool applique :)

I ended up spending most of yesterday running errands.  So, I guess today I better try and get some more yard work done.

Have a wonderful day!

Photo Saturday - sunrise yesteday morning

OK...enough with the wind!  The wind pretty much blew  all day yesterday again, so that meant I didn't get any yard work done!  Now I'm trying to get the lawn watered before it starts up again.  I need to get class stuff figured out for next week and finish the laundry so I guess that will be my focus today!

Have a great day!

The card - having more fun  with the Hero Arts background stamps.  Colors are basic grey (stamped off), limeade and marina mist.  Sentiment is from Unity, stamped in black.

I had barely got started on the yard work yesterday when the wind started blowing....darn wind....I thought I could wait it out but it pretty much blew all day.  Sure put a kink in my plans!  Guess I'll give it another try today..........

Enjoy your day!

The card - stamped image is from Hero Arts.  Colors are calypso coral and white.  Sentiment is stamped in black.

Trying to motivate myself to get out and do some more yard work this morning.  I still have the whole front section to do and I really have no excuse for not getting it done today.

Have a wonderful day!

The card - stamped images are from Unity.  Strips of black and red are washi tape.

Wow, the rain last night certainly cooled things off....it's downright chilly this morning.  Looks like we're going to get more rain today.  It will be a good day to spend inside getting some stamping done.

Have a great day!

The card - playing with some new Hero Arts background stamps.  The script parts are washi tape.

I had originally planned on doing some more yard work today....but....I'm thinking I need a bit of a break.  I think I'll work on some getting some class projects done and put off the yard stuff for a couple of days.  I think I need to let my body recuperate a bit :)

Have a wonderful day!

The card - background stamp is from Hero Arts.  I added some bling here and there and a sentiment.  Easy!  Colors are indigo and white.

Just a little yard work this morning and then I need to get some food ready for a bbq  tonight.  It will be good to relax and enjoy the evening with friends!

Have a safe &
Happy Memorial Day!

Project Sunday - here's a page from my Smash book that I worked on last week.  I see so many cool looking, messy smash book pages and wish I could do that 'messy' look......I just can't do it.....oh well.

More yard work today....I still have a lot more rose bushes to trim.  Need to make a trip to the grocery store too.

Enjoy your day!

Photo Saturday - the first rose of the season.... (and it seems to be the only one in the entire yard so far :)

Off for a day of stitchin' at Laura's...have a fun snowman tablemat I'm going to work on today.

Enjoy your day!

Friday, May 24, 2013

The card - background stamp is from Hero Arts.  I stamped it in several different colors (once full strength and once again without re-inking  for each color).  Then I added the flowers in black (there are black pearls in the center of the flowers...they just don't show up in the photo).  Then I added the sentiment.

More yard work this morning....the darn wind came up yesterday and I didn't quite finish the section I had planned on getting done.  So, hopefully I can finish that this morning.  Then I can look forward to Friday night craftin'!

Have a great day!

Thursday, May 23, 2013

The card - strips of washi tape, a sentiment and some baker's twine.  How easy is that?  The strips are added to a seperate panel and then adhered to the front of the card.

What a nice 'play day' we had yesterday!  Checked out a couple of new stores which is always fun.  One of them was a cute little scrapbook store in Palisade.  The owner's name is Lisa..... she has some cool paper and....oh my...she had a whole big jar of washi tape!!!!!  If you are local, go check it out.  The name of the store is Lisa's Scrapbook Boutique and the address is 330 Main Street in Palisade.

Back to the yard work today.  I think it's going to be a warm one today, so I better get in gear and get started before it gets too hot!

Have a great day!

The card - couldn't resist getting this columbine stamp when I saw it.  I stamped it in black and colored it with copics.

"Play day' today!  Judy S and I are going to breakfast and then we're going to check out a couple of new stores I haven't been to.  We'll try to stay out of trouble.....but you never know.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, May 21, 2013

The card - some strips of washi tape and a prima flower....added a sentiment on the top strip of tape.  Discovered that it is best to use StazOn ink when stamping on top of the washi tape....most of the tape has a slick finish and I found that StazOn was the only ink that would stick to it!

It's time to get some yard work done.  We've had such weird spring weather this year that I haven't done a thing in the yard yet.....not good.   So, I'm going to try and at least get started on it today.

Have a great day!
