Scrappin' Sunday - just some scenery pictures from our weird weather in October. Fall one day, snow the next.

Not sure what I'm going to work on today. Need to get some class projects done, but also need to get the Christmas decorations up. Who knows what the day will bring.

Happy scrappin'

Photo Saturday - this is just one of the pictures I took of Tracy & Tony when we went to Grand Mesa on Tuesday. I think this one is my favorite!

Well, it's back to real life today. I just got back from taking Tracy & Tony to the airport for their trip home. Dang, I always hate it when company leaves (especially when it's one of the kids) The house always seems so much more empty. But I have plenty to do, just need to get myself motivated. So, hopefully I can get myself in gear and be productive today.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

The card - Flower stamp is from Happy Harmony (SU) Colors are not quite navy, bashful blue and more mustard. The front flower is cut out and popped up.

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday! I had an absolutely marvelous day - friends, family and food - it was great! And, watching the Broncos finally win after their losing streak was a great ending to a great day!

Today we are heading to Utah - going to the Arches and Canyonlands. Should be fun and a great day for more photos.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Wednesday, November 25, 2009

The card - stamped image is Holiday Best (SU) I inked the stamp with markers - soft suede, curry, olive and durango. Card is vanilla, accents are durango.

A lovely day yesterday and 150 photos! (the wonders of digital cameras) Tracy and Tony are going hiking on the Monument today so I am going to take an r & r day. A couple of last minute errands this morning and then who knows - maybe an afternoon spent on the sofa reading.

Have a wonderul day!

The card - lots of green! Lots of layers! The image from Verve is embossed in white on old olive. Very simple, but rather striking.

We're going up to Grand Mesa today. It should be a nice day for a drive up and over the top. I'm hoping to get some good pictures that Tracy and Tony can use for their engagement pictures.

Have a great day!

The card - very simple - stamped image is from Holiday Best (SU). I used markers to ink the stamp - suede, curry, olive and durango. Background is a cuttlebug embossing folder.

A few last minute cleaning chores this morning and then I am ready to enjoy my week of 'thanksgiving'. Looking forward to Tracy and Tony's arrival this afternoon.

Enjoy your day!

Scrappin' Sunday - a layout from our trip to California in September. Good thing this will be a week for photos - I've run out of current pictures to scrap!
I got the basement all cleaned up yesterday, and had a great time spending the afternoon stamping with Judy! I even continued stamping after she left, so got quite a few cards done! Today it's more cleaning (moving to the upstairs) and a trip to the grcoery store. I don't think today will be as fun!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Photo Saturday - a little snow on the fall leaves. Another picture from our snowy day last month.

Today - time to start putting my house in order. Tracy and Tony will be here Monday and the house is pretty much a mess. So..........I guess it's time to do a little cleaning. But Judy S is coming over to stamp this afternoon so I have something fun to do today too!

Have a wonderful weekend.

The card - stamped image is one my friend Judy S brought over for me to play with. I really liked it until I added the background dots - I was trying to cover up some small spots I had smeared. By then, it was too late , I really didn't want to color the whole image again. So....this is what I ended up with! It was fun to color, but I don't think I'd do a lot of these - rather time consuming.

Errands today and lots of odds and ends. Looking forward to stamping with Sherry and Emily tonight though - I hope I can productive and not just 'social'.

Enjoy your day!

The card - stamped image is from the SU wheel Bright Blessings. Colors are kraft, suede and durango. The background on the kraft piece is a new leaf embossing folder I got from Quick-kutz.

Lots of stuff to do - but I think I better try and get the laundry done today. It's overflowing the basket - oops! And hopefully I can get some work done on December class projects.

Have a great day!

The card - leaf stamps are from Verve, sentiment is Hero Arts. Colors are olive and not quite navy.

I got another class project finished yesterday - yea! Now, if I can get cards done for the December class I will really be ahead of the game.

Have a wonderful day!

The card - I saw this technique called 'brick wall' and thought it looked like it might be fun! This is my attempt - I think the 'bricks' need a little more color, probably should have sponged the edges. I used a piece of Basic grey for the background (bricks) and the stamp is from Hero Arts. I'll try this again, although it's not something I'd make a lot of - it's rather time consuming. If you are interested there is a tutorial on Split Coast Stampers.
Today - back to work on class projects. Lots to get done in the next few days. Time is going by much too fast!
Enjoy your day!

The card - I did a card like this for card class last month using Christmas paper - decided it would be fun to do one for fall. Paper is from Basic Grey Indian Summer. Diamond is a punch from EK Success.

Today - catch up day. Need to get my room and the class area cleaned up. I got quite a stack of cards done yesterday, but made quite the mess in the process. Class tonight.

Happy stampin'

Scrappin' Sunday - photos from our day at the aquarium in Cincinati. This was a layout we did in class and I added the pictures.

Yesterday was great fun! I got a lot accomplished. ate too much (the food was so yummy!) and totally enjoyed the company! Thanks girls, for a great day!

Today I am going to finish up some projects and then I think I will try to get some cards made. I really haven't done much stamping lately so I think that will be my focus for the day!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Photo Saturday - this picture was taken up on Grand Mesa last year. Just a bit of fall colors.

Today will be fun - the wild and crazy bunch (Sue, Eileen and Kelly) are coming to crop! With any luck I will be much more productive than I was yesterday! I need to focus! focus! focus!

Added note: should have posted a winter picture I guess, since it's snowing this morning. I guess fall is almost over and we're seeing the beginning of winter.

Enjoy your weekend!

Friday, November 13, 2009

The card - leaves are from Falling Leaves (SU) Colors are durango, olive and mustard. The leaves are stamped, cut out and popped up on the squares.

Oh-oh - Friday the 13th! Actually that has always been a 'good luck' day for me, so we'll hope that continues to be the case. It's bound to be a good day because after running some errands this morning I will be stamping with Judy S this afternoon and then Deb, Sherry and Emily tonight! Yea! I should get lots done, right?

Happy stampin'

The card - stamps and paper are from Close to My Heart. Flowers are stamped with sahara sand and black.

Still working on class projects - my goal is to have all (or at least most) of November and December's class projects done before Thanksgiving. For the original procrastinator (that would be me!) that will be a major accomplishment.

Enjoy your day!
