The card - stamped images are from SU.  I stamped the rectangle in the back using a clear block.  Colors are vanilla, kraft and black.

More yard work today - if it doesn't rain.  It's all cloudy and dreary looking outside this morning but I didn't think it was supposed to rain today.  Hopefully it will either clear up or wait until I get the bushes trimmed.

Have a wonderful day!

The card - hexagon stamp/punch is from SU.  I stamped the hexagons in a variety of colors, punched them out and then popped them up on the card.  Added a sentiment and some bling.

No excuses today..... it's time to get some yard work done.

Have a wonderful day!

The card - background stamp is from Hero Arts.  (can't remember where the flower is from)  Colors are soft sky, saffron and pistachio.

The best laid plans.....hmmm....I had planned my whole day around doing yard work today.... not to be I guess.....it rained so much last night that I have a small lake in the back yard.  We need the rain, so that's a good thing, but now I have to figure out what the heck I will do instead.

Enjoy your day!

I'm being a proud Mom today - Jeff won 2nd place in a contest with the Denver Photo Art Gallery this last week.   Woo hoo!

Going with the flow today - that actually means I have no plans and have no idea what I'm doing :)

Have a wonderful day!

Photo Saturday - sunrise Wednesday morning

Off for a day of stitching at Laura's.  It will be extra fun today since our friend Sherry will be joining us - we're stretching out her birthday celebration for one more day :)

Have a great day!

The card - stamped images are from SU.  The embossing folder I used at the bottom of the square is also from SU.  The flower is colored with copics.

Our friend Sherry is in town this week and she's joining us for our Friday night crafting - yay!  We're also going to be celebrating her birthday tonight - fun!  I'm off to get a few last minute things done and then I can relax and enjoy a fun evening with friends!

Have a fabulous day!

The card - stamped images are from Hero Arts.  Colors are white, pear and black.

Errands and a hair cut this morning.  Then I need to get some work done on a wool project that I'm doing  for a sample for Laura's shop.

Have a great day!

The card - stamped images are from SU.  Colors are strawberry, daffodil, pear and cabana.

Well I never did get around to the yard work yesterday.....hmmm....I ended up spending some more time stamping.  What the heck, the yard work will still be there next week - the weeds will just be a bit taller :)  And I'm sure it's more important that I have cards to post than have a neat and tidy yard - right?  Taking a day for fun today - going to Montrose for lunch and a visit to the quilt store - yay!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

The card - flowers are stamp/punch from SU, leaf is also a SU die cut.  Colors are pretty in pink and lucky limeade.

Since I spent the day stamping yesterday, I suppose I should get some yard work done this morning before it gets too hot.  At least that was my plan....it's just not sounding real appealing right now :)   Maybe I'll get stuff ready for class tonight first.....

Enjoy your day!

The card - background stamp is from  Hero Arts, stamped in a variety of colors.  Added a sentiment in black.  Easy!

Oh my - a free day!  Well, no outside commitments anyway.  My goal this week is to get some stamping done and get the yard cleaned up.  Trying to figure out which one to start on today.

Have a great day!

I had no project to show you today so instead I wanted to show you some awesome photos that my son Jeff took during the lightening storm this last week.   He's giving away a free, signed 8 x 10 photo.  If you're interested you need to go to
Jeff's Facebook Page and do the following:

1. Share the lightning strike photograph that is your favorite

2. Tell all of your friends to stop by and like the page (Jeff Stoddart Photography)
3. When he gets up to 250 followers, he will draw a name from all the people who have shared a lightning strike photograph.
4. The winner will receive a free, signed 8X10 of their favorite lightning photo!

I'm off to take Tracy to the airport shortly.  It's been such a short visit and she's mostly been attending all the class reunion activities, but still, it's been nice to have her around even for a few short days :)   This afternoon I'll be at Laura's for some fun stitching time.

Hope you enjoy the photos!  Have a wonderful day!

Photo Saturday - sunset Thursday night

We had to work in a time for Tracy to have chicken and noodles while she was here so we're doing that at noon today.  I got most of the 'work' done yesterday so only have the last minute preparations to do this morning.  Then she will be off doing more reunion stuff so I can either be ambitious and get something done - or take a nap!

Have a great day!

The card - grunge stamps from SU, die cut tag is from Hero Arts.  Card is vanilla and everything is stamped in basic grey and smoky slate.

Tracy was supposed to be here at 8pm last night - she finally arrived at 12:30am.   Way past my bed time.  I'm just a bit groggy this morning.  I'm pretty sure that a nap is in my plans for the day:)  Have to be ready for Friday night craftin' with Deb tonight!

Enjoy your day.

The card - flower is stamp/punch from SU, leaf is a die cut from SU.  Chevron is a background stamp from Lawn Fawn.  Colors are cherry cobbler, gumball, white and black.

Full day today - need to finish up a bit of housework, go to the grocery store, get ready for class tonight and then after class it will be time to pick up my daughter Tracy at the airport. She's coming home for her class reunion so she will be busy with that, but it will still be nice to have her around for a few days :)

Have a wonderful day!

The card - leafy image is from Hero Arts, stamped with gumball green.  Embossing folder is from SU.

More rain?  We certainly need it, but oh my, it's messing with my plans to get the yard cleaned up.  And the combination of heat and humidity...ugh!   Enough whining...I have plenty of stuff to get done in the house so I will concentrate on that today.

Have a great day!

Thank you

The card - tag is a die cut from Hero Arts, hexagon is SU punch. (it's actually punched from a piece of navy blue patterned paper - looks way darker in the photo)  Chevron embossing folder is from SU.  The card and tag are made with vanilla, pieces are sponged with kraft.

We got quite the nice little rain storm last night.  That's a good thing, however it sure put a kink in my plans to work in the yard this morning.  I guess I'll get some inside stuff done today and put the yard stuff off for another day.

Have a great day!

Monday, July 15, 2013

The card - flower and sentiment are from SU.  Strips of color are washi tape.  Colors are white and kraft.

Have a whole long list of stuff that needs to be done this week so I guess I better decide what needs to be done first and get started.

Have a great day!

Photo Saturday - Colorado Scenery from our road trip last month.

Off on another little road trip today, but not such a fun one.  My daughter-in-law's father passed away this week and the memorial service is today in Cedaredge.  (about an hour away)  So I will be driving down for that.  Gary was such a nice guy - we're going to miss him a lot!

Have a nice day!

Have several projects I need to work on today and tonight I can relax and enjoy Friday night crafting with Deb and Emily.

Have a great day!
