The image on this card is from Verve. Simple and easy.

Got my pages done yesterday for class tomorrow night! Yea! Now I just have to cut and bag. Will do that tomorrow because today I am taking a break. My in-laws are coming for lunch and football this afternoon. I hope the Bronocs play better today than they did last week.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Go Broncos!

A touch of fall. Tree stamp is from Inkadinkado. I inked the image with brown, then removed the ink from the leaves with a blender pen, then colored the leaves with a rust marker.

I have Scrapbook class on Monday night and I still have no idea what we're going to do. I am really hoping that inspiration strikes today and I can get those projects done.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Friday, October 3, 2008

Dug out some very old stuff for this card - the leaf is embossed with some emsbossing powder that I bought at a stamp show several years ago - I only seem to use it in the fall, but it sure looks pretty for leaves. Three different background stamps on the orange (tangerine), red (riding hood red) and brown (chocolate). Easy!

Spent all day yesterday working on class projects and managed to get the Christmas cards done for class next week. Yea!

Went to a SU party at Kim C's last night. Sherry was the demonstrator - great cards - great food! Thanks Kim & Sherry!

Deb is coming to play today - fun! I am going to be teaching some classes at Carol's new store in Delta so I may work on class projects for that today.

Have a great day!

Thursday, October 2, 2008

A Christmas layout today. I'm trying to get in the mood to do Christmas projects - have to get cards done for class by next week. Boy, it's hard - can't seem to get in the groove. Guess I really don't want to think about Christmas and winter just yet.

Have a great day!

I used one of my new Close To My Heart stamps for this card. The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug leaf embossing folder. Copied the layout from Deb!

Judy and I had quite a day in Delta yesterday. Carol Jones is opening a new Scrapbook store in Delta (she will be open beginning Friday) and we spent the day helping her get her product out of the boxes and on display. Whew - forgot what a job that can be. I was wiped out by the time I got home last night! But it was rather fun too! And of course we got to eat lunch at our favorite place - Davito's - Yum!

Have a wonderful day.

Old stamps - new colors. This is a very old stamp from Stampendous that I found in my "leaf drawer". Thought I'd give it a try. Not bad. Used new SU colors Tangerine and Kiwi and good ol' chocolate. The background stamp I used on the green is another "old one" from River City Rubber Works.

Judy S and I are traveling to Delta/Montrose today. Should be fun.

A little bit of fall. A mixture of stamps from Verve and Gelatins. SU colors Burgundy, Kraft, Rust and Hunter.

Deb came over yesterday and we spent a very productive afternoon stamping. I got quite a few cards done - yea!

I have classes starting next week that I don't even have the projects done for, so guess what I will be doing this week.

Happy stampin'

Sunday, September 28, 2008

Just a few layers on this one. Verve stamp set - scallop rectangle is made with Nestabilities - Soft Sky, Baha Breeze and Chocolate - swiss dots embossing folder.

Deb is coming over to stamp this afternoon and I'm hoping to get some fall cards done. Have a lot of new Close To My Heart stamps to play with.

Go Broncos!

Another fall photo and another card today. (scroll down for the card)
We came down Land's End on our way home from Grand Mesa and that's where I took this picture.
I guess it's time to put up the fall decorations so I think I'm going to try and get that accomplished this morning.
Have a wonderful weekend!

A SU set - really like this saying. Riding Hood Red and Old Olive.

Friday, September 26, 2008

I love fall! Love the colors, love the weather.

Jeff and I drove up to Grand Mesa late yesterday afternoon to take some pictures. There are some nice spots of color, but I think it will be much better in another week. I'm thinking whoever picks the date for Color Sunday was a little off this year. There is still lots of green and the oak hasn't turned yet so there is very little red. But it was a nice drive and I did get some decent pictures. (enough for a scrapbook page anyway!)

Need to get some things organized today and Sherry is coming to play tonight so that will be fun!

(Scroll down for today's card - I did two posts)

Enjoy your day!

Trying to get some fall cards done - used SU's new in color Tangerine Tango together with Chocolate and kraft. A nice combination. The stamp is from Paper Inspirations.

Thursday, September 25, 2008

This is a layout I did with pictures I took last winter of Dewey Bridge. Down in the bottom right corner I used a picture I got from the web and did a little update about the fire that destroyed the bridge after these pictures were taken.

I had good intentions of getting yard work done yesterday, but somehow that never happened. I got started on a birthday present I needed to get done and it ended up taking most of the day. But, the birthday present is done and I just need to get it mailed today. Yea!

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Another image from the my new Verve stamp set.

I got all the paper sorted and put away yesterday - yea! Today I need to get some yard work done and then class tonight.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

A layout from Jeff's graduation. Found the CSU stickers at a store in Denver and was glad I had them to use on this page.

Since I have a class tonight I guess I need to get back to sorting the paper that is still all over the tables downstairs. Sort of left that project unfinished. Oops! Looks like that will be my project for the day.

Inspired by Nature - one of SU's new stamp sets and one I've used before. Am I getting in a rut with the red and brown thing now? I do like those colors together.

Enjoyed my day of fun yesterday - it was made even better since the Broncos won, but my goodness that was tense. I was worn out by the end of the game.

Lots to do this week and I'm trying to figure out where to start today. Laundry, more yard work, paper work, etc. Gee, nothing fun in there, so it's going to be a hard decision.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, September 21, 2008

A layout from my Mom's Memorial Service.

The yard work did me in yesterday - boy am I stiff and sore this morning. Guess I over did it a bit. Oh well, I'm taking a break today - my inlaws are coming over for lunch and then we will watch the Bronco game. Yea! It's actually the first game I will be able to watch so I'm looking foward to it.

Go Broncos!!!!

Friday, September 19, 2008

This is a card I made with a new Verve set I just got called Abundant Blessings.
I am planning on spending the day doing yard work today. I have sort of slacked off on that chore the last few weeks so it's time.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Copied this card right out of the SU catalog. Easy enough!

Judy came over yesterday and we spent the afternoon stamping. I was pretty productive and it was a great afternoon.

Back to my paper mess today. Can't leave it all over the tables forever so I will see what I can do with it today. Sherry is coming over tonight so I will be able to take a break and get some more fun stamping time.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, September 18, 2008

More Verve flowers. Not my usual color combo either, but I'm trying my best to get out of my rut.

Worked on sorting paper yesterday - oh my, what a job. I have paper everywhere. I know I want to put seasonal stuff together, but how the heck do you sort the rest? Do I store it by company? by color? This job is going to take me awhile - good thing I don't have another class for a few days - the tables are covered with paper - and more paper.

I'm hoping Judy S is coming to stamp this afternoon so I can forget about the paper mess for awhile and do something fun.

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Here's the title page I did for my 2006 album. Now all I have to do is get the pages sorted and put in the album. Yea!

Leslie is coming today to make up a class project - while she is working on that I'm hoping to get some paper sorted. I have a ton of stuff I've bought at different stores and it's all just piled in drawers. So, I figure if I get it sorted I might know what I have and be able to use it! What a concept.

A scrapbook page today. I'm trying to use up some of my paper stash (and there is a LOT of it) I think this is some Christmas paper I bought when Kim and I were in Las Vegas a year ago.

Have to finish up my project for Shoebox Club tonight, water the lawn and do a couple of errands. Not a very exciting day, but club tonight will be fun - it always is!

Happy scrappin'

Monday, September 15, 2008

I liked the layout for this card a lot! The white flowers are embossed.

Yesterday's CTMH party was great fun. Dorene did some awesome cards and I have a LOT of new stuff coming to play with.

We have our Shoebox Club tomorrow night and I still don't have my project done - guess that will be my priority for today.

Happy stampin'

Sunday, September 14, 2008

Familiar colors (red, brown, kraft), familiar stamps (SU's pocket silhouettes) - just a different layout for this card. No ribbon or brads, but the layered squares are popped up.
Lots to get done this morning and then a Close to My Heart stamp party this afternoon - Yea! Always fun to see what Dorene comes up with. And of course I have a very long list of stuff I want to order. (I really need more stamps, ya know)
Have a great day!

Saturday, September 13, 2008

A very simple scrapbook page. (I use that word simple a lot, don't I?) But......that seems to be my thing so I just go with it.

I must, I must, I must! get something done today. Yesterday was another day spent staring at a pile of paper and not knowing what to do with it. I'm thinking I shall leave that project and move on to something else for awhile.

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Friday, September 12, 2008

A "fallish" sort of card today. Seems to fit with the weather. It's pretty chilly this morning.
Back to work on class projects today. The last two days have just sort of gone by without me getting much of anything done. Can't seem to get any creativity going. What's up with that? I'm hoping today will be better.

Thursday, September 11, 2008

A photo day. This is sunrise yesterday morning. (that's Mount Garfield at the bottom of the picture) I have tons of sunset pictures but this is one of the few sunrise photos that I managed to catch at just the right time.

Had thought of doing yard work today but I guess that was just a fleeting thought as it rained again last night and it's too wet to be digging around outside this morning. Guess I will try to get some work done on a class project. I sort of slacked off yesterday and didn't get much done, so maybe I will make up for it today.

Have a wonderful day - enjoy the cool, fall weather this morning.

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

A fun, happy card today. Love these colors together.

Need to get a couple of class projects done so think that will be my project for the day. (after I get my stamp room cleaned up though - it's just a bit of a mess!)

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, September 9, 2008

I was working on title pages over the weekend and this is the one I ended up with for 2008.
I was a "ball o' fire" yesterday and got a lot done! Yea - I just love days like that! I have class this morning and again this evening, so I may just use the afternoon to get some stampin' done. (or take a nap!) We'll see how inspired I am.
Happy stampin'

Monday, September 8, 2008

A pretty simple card. The background flowers are stamped with bleach.

Nothing exciting for me today - just paper work and cleaning up the messes I made over the weekend. (did you notice that mess was plural - I seem to have made several and the cleaning fairy did not appear all weekend - darn her!) So........

Have a great day!

Sunday, September 7, 2008

Another card with the cute Verve flower. I really like this kraft, red and brown color combination.

Slept in a bit this morning. That doesn't happen too often - but we were up long after my bedtime last night. I didn't get tons done, but I finished the pictures from 2006. Woo hoo - another year is finished. I'm hoping to get the title page done today, and then I will have another year of photos ready to go in an album!

Hope you are having a fantastic weekend!

Saturday, September 6, 2008

A simple layout - took the idea from a Becky Higgin's book. These are some of the pictures from the evening Judy D and I spent walking up and down Main Street.

Not sure what my plans are for today. I've lost my spurt of ambition. Bretina and Lauren are coming to scrap tonight, so I will work on some more pages. Didn't really get much accomplished last night. Hopefully I will get more done tonight.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Friday, September 5, 2008

Another fun card with SU's Upsy Daisy set. (and a little swiss dots thrown in there)

Have some odds and ends to get done today, then play time tonight with Deb, Sherry and Emily. I plan on getting more scrapbook pages done!

Happy stampin'

Thursday, September 4, 2008

Here is one of the scrapbook pages I did last weekend. I like this layout but not too crazy about the orange - probably because it's not one of my favorite colors.

Finishing up class stuff today and then I will have the weekend to "play". Yea!

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

Borrowed a stamp from Deb for this card. Nice, simple layout. Used a button instead of a brad for a change!

Working on class projects today and tomorrow. My goal is to get all my "work" done so I can spend another weekend scrapbooking.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

Are you ready for this? No ribbon, no brads, no layers! Oh my - I guess you can make a card without those things - I don't do that very often.

Fall is in the air - very cool this morning.

Errands today - class tonight. Probably won't have time for anything fun. (well, class will be fun, it always is!)

Happy stampin'

Monday, September 1, 2008

A happy Labor Day to you! I really like this Upsy Daisy stamp from SU. Lots of fun things you can do with it.

I scrapbooked all day again yesterday. Since Friday night I've gotten 11 layouts done. (that's 2-page spreads) I'm almost done with 2007 - just have to do a title page and an ending page and I can put that whole scrapbook together. Yea! It's been forever since I actually had a whole year put together.

Alas, today I must return to the real world of getting ready for a class, laundry and other domestic chores. Darn! And I was on such a roll!

Hope you are having a great holiday weekend.

Sunday, August 31, 2008

Today's card idea came from the latest Cards Magazine. Loved the simplicity of it and one of my new Verve stamps just fit the bill.

I spent 12 hours scrapbooking yesterday! Wow - it's been a very long time since I've done that. I plan to do more today.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Saturday, August 30, 2008

Good morning! This card was done with another of my new stamps from SU - it's called Pocket Silhouettes. Lots of fun things to do with this one.

Had a great time with Sherry last night - it made up for my totally crappy day! I got almost 2 layouts done last night - just have to finish one up today. My plan is to spend most of the weekend scrapping - so hopefully I will be able to get several more layouts done. That's my goal anyway.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Friday, August 29, 2008

Isn't this just the cutest butterfly? This is another of the Verve stamps I got.

I was on such a roll yesterday - got several class projects done! Yea! That creative spurt caused quite a mess so today I guess I will have to re-group and get things cleaned up a bit. (can't see the top of the tables either upstairs or downstairs - yep, quite a mess!) Sherry is coming to play tonight so we must have a clear table top somewhere to work on.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Another card with my new Verve stamps. Fun stuff.

I am going to be playing catch up today - didn't get much done yesterday. Lack of sleep was my excuse I guess. I need to get class projects done for next week so that is what I'm going to work on today.

Happy stampin'

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Another new stamp to play with. This is one of SU's new stamps. I've had a lot of fun with this one.

A little slow this morning - didn't get enough sleep last night. Between the crickets, the lightening and thunder and then the electircity going off I didn't get to sleep until after 2 am. Ugh - I just might have to take a nap this afternoon.

A morning of errands today then I am going to try and get some more work done on class projects. I have one almost finished - yea! Then class tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, August 26, 2008

New stamps! The flowers on this card are some of my new stamps that I ordered on-line from a company called Verve. Aren't they fun?

The UPS man brought me some great new fall paper yesterday so today I am going to work on getting some new class projects done.

Have a great day!

Monday, August 25, 2008

Something a little different. I scored the lines at an angle on this card - thought it looked kind of cool.

I've pretty much spent the last three days making cards - had a lot of fun playing with new stamps. So, as soon as I get pictures taken I will be able to share them with you. Now I need to get to work on some class projects. Just waiting for some new paper to arrive - hopefully today.

Can you believe this is the last week of August? Good grief, where did the summer go?

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, August 24, 2008

Just another "pretty" card.

I got several cards done yesterday and Deb is coming over today so I should get even more done. I should have plenty to post in the coming days. It's been fun playing with the new stuff! Now I just need to take the time to get some pictures scrapbooked.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Saturday, August 23, 2008

Out of my comfort zone with this color, but, heck, I'm willing to try! This is one of SU's new in-colors - Pacific Point. (the darker blue - the light one is Bashful Blue)

Fun with Deb & Sherry last night, but more fun than productive - I only got 2 cards done.

Have a family thing at my cousin's to attend tonight and that will be fun.

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Happy stampin'

Friday, August 22, 2008

A little elegance today. Just thought it was pretty.

More yard work today. I did make quite a dent in the weeds yesterday so while I'm on a roll..........

Deb & Sherry are coming to play tonight so I must get my stamp room cleaned up too - oh my - it's a mess! I have new stamps to play with - my order from SU stamp club and I ordered some stamps on-line ( don't do that very often) So I have plenty to keep me motivated for a while.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, August 21, 2008

Good morning! This card is done with another Penny Black stamp that I thought was kind of fun and funky. It also just jumped off the shelf and into my hands at Hobby Lobby one day.

I have run out of excuses for not getting the yard work done, so that is my goal for today.

Happy stampin'

Wednesday, August 20, 2008

Another simple card that could be used for most any occasion. This is one of the new in-colors from SU.

I had orginally planned to do yard work today but....... I didn't quite finish with my list of jobs yesterday. So, I'm going to work on getting some odds and ends done today and mark those off my list. Then I can move on to yard work tomorrow.

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, August 19, 2008

An easy card - and I'm branching out in the color combinations. I like this new red color (Red Riding Hood) from SU combined with Choc Chip.

I have a whole list of things to get done today and I'm determined to be able to mark every single thing off my list - what a goal!

Have a wonderful day.
