Enjoy the day!

Monday, November 14, 2011

The card - stamped image is from SU. Sentiment is from CTMH.  I colored the basket of pears with copics.  Although it doesn't show up well in the photo the basket is on a vanilla circle, layered on another vanilla circle.Colors are wasabi, espresso and vanilla.

I have a long list of things I want to get done this week so I guess I better decide what to start with and get to it.

Have a wonderful day!

He never ceases to amaze me!  This is my son Jeff in his Halloween costume.  He looked online and found a picture of the outfit he wanted from Star Wars, and with only a picture to go by, went to the store and purchased the material and then proceeded to sew up this costume.  How cool is that?  (I certainly could not have done it - I have to have a pattern and step by step instructions for anything like that!)   I forgot to ask him how he managed to make his hair and beard gray - it's normally light brown.

Aw....what to do today.......  not sure.  Probably should do some laundry.   Will probably watch some football (and hope for the best for the Broncos!)  Maybe get some stamping done.   Can you tell I don't really have a plan for the day?

Enjoy your day!

A stamping day today - Judy S is coming over and we have plans to get a lot of stamping done!  Yes!  Life is good!

Enjoy your day!

Friday, November 11, 2011

The card - stamped images are from SU.  I inked the background leaves with artichoke and then sponged a bit of mustard on top before stamping.  The card is mustard, circle is vanilla and background newsprint is from SU. (didn't notice the crooked ribbon until I posted this - not sure how that happened)

A little plug today for some friends - if you are local and haven't been to Seasons to Follow you need to check it out!  It's a locally owned shop on Main Street (just east of 6th St).  It's my favorite place to shop for gifts and things for my house.  Now they are  adding some scrapbooking/card making classes and supplies to the store.  Michelle Hahn is teaching classes and doing crops.  They have a very small amount of supplies, but I managed to find some very cool paper and embellishments to buy.  So, go check it out.

It's been a long and busy week and I am so looking forward to a fun and relaxing stamping evening with my friends tonight!

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, November 10, 2011

The card - banner pieces are from SU.  Colors are wisteria, limeade and pool party.

Have a wonderful day!

The card - mostly pretty paper here - used some old Bo-bunny stuff from my stash.  (I really need to start using more!)  Stamped images on the label are from SU.

Have several projects I need to work on so maybe I can get myself organized enough today to get started on one of them.  Have a few errands I need to do before class tonight too.

Enjoy your day

Tuesday, November 8, 2011

The card - stamped image is from SU.  I inked the stamped with a variety of markers using colors from the patterned paper.

Class this morning and again tonight.  A couple of errands in between (and maybe even a nap since I woke up way too early this morning!)

Enjoy the day!

Monday, November 7, 2011

The card - leaves are from Stampa Rose, (colored with Copics), sentiment is A Muse.  Card is kraft.

Making some chili today, doing some laundry and finishing up class stuff that I never got around to yesterday.  Guess that's enough to keep me busy.

Have a great day!

Sunday, November 6, 2011

Project Sunday - this is a class project we did this last week.  Next month we will do a winter themed one.  It fits in a 12 x 12 frame.

Not sure what my plans are for the day.  Still have to finish up a couple of things for class so I probably should concentrate on that!

Have a great day!

Saturday, November 5, 2011

Photo Saturday - a closeup of some fall color.

I have a group of girls coming to crop today and I am planning on getting my class projects all finished, cut and bagged.   That will be a productive day!

The card - stamped images are from SU.  Card is kraft with an artichoke mat and peach & espresso accents.

Finish up the class projects, clean up my mess and set up for class tonight - that would be my plan for the day.

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

The card - super simple today.  Leaf stamp is from SU, stamped with cajun and then sponged with more cajun.  Strips of paper are from Bo-bunny.  Sentiment is Hero Arts.

Back to work on class projects.  I think I know what I'm going to do, now I just have to figure out the how.   It's a good day to be inside anyway since it's chilly and wet from last night's rain.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, November 1, 2011

The card - tree is from SU.  I embossed it with white on a piece of vanilla, then sponged over it with kraft.  Background is Hobby Lobby embossing folder. Colors are kraft, suede and vanilla.

This week's class projects are all done and ready - yea!  Now it's time to get to work on projects for next week's classes.  I just can't believe it's the first of November - time is going by much too fast!

Have a great day!

Mystical, magical

scary or frightful......

Hope your Halloween

will be just delightful!

Sunday, October 30, 2011

Project Sunday - this is the calendar topper I did for our Shoebox club a few weeks ago.  The stamps are all from Unity.  I stamped the leaves and pumpkins and then cut them out.

This morning I am going to work on getting a class project cut and ready for class this week.  Then I will be able to relax and have some fun stamping time with Judy S this afternoon.

Enjoy your day!

Saturday, October 29, 2011

Photo Saturday - aw, finally! some wedding pictures.  The photographer put a few of the photos on her blog so I thought I would share.  I'm so anxious to see the rest!  It was such a fun day!

Friday, October 28, 2011

The card - stamped image is from SU.  I inked the stamp with markers using colors to match the strips of paper.  Colors are melon, punpkin, daffodil, olive and pacific point.  Card is black with a white mat.

Got a little side-tracked yesterday from my original plan - decided it was time to put the summer clothes and flip flops away (boohoo!) so I ended up cleaning out my closet.  Now I need to get back to some regular cleaning today.   (and that is how I end up turning a one-day project into a two-day project :)

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, October 27, 2011

The card - tree image is from Inkadinkado.  Sentiment is Hero Arts.  Small embossed piece was done with folder from Hobby Lobby.  Background paper is from a pad of Tim Holtz paper.

Today's plans are a little up in the air.  After spending the entire day yesterday in my stamp room I'm thinking I need to do something a little more physical today - maybe I can convince myself to get my house cleaned up - or not - guess I'll figure it out after a little more caffeine.

Have a great day!

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

The card - tree is from SU.  I stamped the tree with cajun craze, then colored the trunk with suede.  Colors are white, cajun and suede.  The greeting was stamped before I embossed the panel.

I think it's been raining all night - my driveway is a big lake - at this point it looks like I might need to build an ark to get out - good thing I did my errands yesterday!  It's a good day to spend in my stamp room! (cleaning up will be first on the agenda - I've made quite the mess the last few days!)

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, October 25, 2011

The card - stamped images are from Stamps by Judith.  A simple layout, but dang, those pumpkins are just too cute.  Card is tangerine, black and white.  Pumpkins are colored with copics.

Need to get some stamping done today - after I clean off my table that is.  The whole room needs a bit of cleaning up and re-organizing, but that will probably be a job for another day.  For today I will settle for enough clean space to get some cards done.

Enjoy your day!

Monday, October 24, 2011

The card - stamped images are from Technique Tuesday.  Colors are kraft, cherry, white and espresso.

Time to do the last of the fall cleanup in the yard - last day to water the lawn and I guess it's time to pull out the flowers since it's supposed to freeze this week.  Ugh - not ready for it to be that cold!

Have a wonderful day.

Sunday, October 23, 2011

Scrappin' Sunday - Here's a page from Jeff & Sara's guest book.  The page is 8 x 8 with a 4 x 6 photo.

Had a great trip to Delta yesterday -  found way too much that I just had to have, but I'm excited about my new goodies.  Now I just need to get motivated to sit down and do something with all this stuff!

Enjoy the day!

Saturday, October 22, 2011

Photo Saturday - I have a feeling the roses won't be so pretty for much longer.  It's supposed to get down to freezing temps next week.

Taking a trip to Delta today with Judy S - I need to pick up some paper at The Scrappy Moose.  Looking forward to a fun day!

Enjoy your day.

Friday, October 21, 2011

The card - tree is from SU.  I inked the stamp with suede, then sponged a bit of espresso here and there before stamping.  Embossing folder is from Hobby Lobby.  Card and mats are vanilla.

I'm planning a productive day today - going to spend the day in my stamp room working on class projects and finishing my Halloween cards.

Have a great day!

Thursday, October 20, 2011

The card - stamped image is from Inkadinkado, background script is from Stampabilities, sentiment is Papertrey.  Card is white, mat is red.  Image is colored with Copics.

Need to get myself organized today.  Have a lot that needs to be done in the next week or so and I need to figure out where to start.  The movie yesterday was a fun break - we went to see Footloose - great music and I loved the dancing!

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

The card - stamped image and embossing folder are from SU.  Colors are tangerine and suede.

Yard work done - check;  laundry done - check;  house clean - uh...well, two out of three is good enough for me.  I'll get some paper work done this morning and then Judy S and I are going to the movie this afternoon.  It will be a nice break!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

The card - tree is from SU.  I inked the stamp with more mustard, then sponged some cajun onto the stamp here and there.  After I stamped the image I colored the tree trunk with suede.

I am, I really am, going to do some yard work today.  As soon as it warms up a bit.....kind of chilly out there this morning.

Have a grea day!

Monday, October 17, 2011

The card - something a little different - just some squares of patterned paper arranged on the card at an angle.  I embossed the piece after adding the squares.

I had planned on actually getting out and doing some yard work  today - guess that's not going to work out since it's raining.  Guess I'll go to plan B ........whatever that is.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, October 16, 2011

The card -  I made this one a 6 x 6 card.  Don't make those very often, but it just seemed to work for this one.  The leaf is a die cut, I sprayed it with a bit of water, wadded it up and then sponged a little color on it.  Some strips of paper and a little lace and a sentiment - easy!

Not sure what I'm doing today.  It's the first day in well over a week that I haven't had a committment of some sort.  There's plenty I could do, and plenty of things I probably should do, but.......we'll see.  Guess I'll just go with the flow.

Have a great day!

Saturday, October 15, 2011

Photo Saturday - a little more fall color from Red Mountain Pass.

A crop day today with the Good Time Girls.  I think I'm going to get started on Jeff & Sara's guest book.  Then we're celebrating Bob's (Judy S' husband) birthday tonight - luckily I got the noodles made yesterday so I will be good to go after cropping all day!

Have a fabulous day!

Friday, October 14, 2011

The card - stamped image is from Inkadinkado, colored with copics.  Background is embossing folder from Hobby Lobby.  Colors are espresso and tangerine.

Wow, it's been a long week.  I'm not feeling very ambitious today.  But I do need to do some household chores and go to the grocery.  Looking forward to a relaxing, fun evening stamping with Deb tonight.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, October 13, 2011

The card - stamped image is from SU.  Card is white, layered with printed paper  from Reminisce.

I need to finish up my calendar topper for our Shoebox Club tonight and do a couple of errands today.  Never did get around to the yard work yesterday - maybe today - or tomorrow - or next week.

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

The card - flower image and printed paper are from SU.  The stem is stamped on the printed paper, flowers are stamped on vanilla, cut out and popped up.  Colors are espresso, kraft and mustard.

As soon as it warms up a bit I need to get out and deal with some weeds in the yard.  But before that I guess I should see what I can come up with for a calendar topper that I need to have done before tomorrow night.  Switching gears again - it needs to be spring - um - from fall to Christmas and now I need to think spring - this might be a bit of a challenge!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

The card - lots of little squares - The squares are 3/4", stamped with leaves from Papertrey.  The sentiment is from SU.  Colors are Garden Green, wasabi, saffron, peach, and tangerine.

Had a great time last night - Deb did some awesome cards (as usual!)  It was a nice break for me.  Now it's back to work - class this morning and then again tonight.  Maybe a nap in between :)

Enjoy your day!

Monday, October 10, 2011

The card - another funky stamp from Stamps by Judith.  Just added a little coloring.  Sentiment is from SU.

Ahhh....almost done with class cards - the cards are done and the kits are cut, just need to get them bagged.  Yay!  Looking forward to a SU workshop with Deb tonight.

Have a super day!

Sunday, October 9, 2011

Check out these cool socks that my friend Deb brought me - how fun is that!  I'm hoping that they might bring some  good luck today - the Broncos need all the 'help' they can get these days!!!  (the socks were actually matching pairs - I just decided to mix & match and put on one of each!)

Making some progress on the class cards finally -  I'm planning on getting them finished this morning and then doing some 'fun stamping'  this afternoon with Judy S.

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday, October 8, 2011

Photo Saturday - another photo from our drive over Red Mountain Pass.

I'm not leaving my room today until I have the cards done for class - it could be a very long day :)

Have a great day!

Friday, October 7, 2011

The card - leaves are from SU, sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly.  Colors are expresso, kraft and cajun.

No excuses today - I need to get back to work on the class stuff.  Hopefully I can manage to put together some Christmas cards that don't end up in the trash (which is where the ones I've done so far are!)

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, October 6, 2011

The card - here's another one using Stamps by Judith.  (I'm into her funky look these days!)   A simple layout.  I colored the punpkin with copics.  Card is tangerine, black and white.

A haircut this morning and then a list of errands to do.

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

The card - image is from Technique Tuesday, embossed with white.  Sentiment is from AMuse.  Colors are espresso and kraft.

Back to work on class projects.  I may take a break from the whole Christmas thing for a bit though, somehow that is just not working too well at this point.  (there's some kind of mental block thing going on I guess :)

Have a great day!

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

The card - dug an old stamp out for this one (not even sure what company it's from).  Image is colored with copics.  Embossing folder is from SU.  Colors are suede and tangerine.

Have to get the class kits cut for class tonight.  Then it's back to work on Christmas cards - ugh - that didn't go so well yesterday.   Maybe I'll have better luck today.

Enjoy your day!

Monday, October 3, 2011

The card - this funny little witch is from Stamps by Judith.  (isn't she cute?)  I colored her with copics.  Sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I used black and celery for the card.

Now I have to jump from thinking about fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving to Chrismtas.  Not easy for me this early.   But since we do Christmas cards in card class this month I will have to go dig out the Christmas stamps today and see what I can do.

Have a great day!

Sunday, October 2, 2011

Scrappin' Sunday - this was a layout we did in Scrap Class and I just added the photos.

I need to get creative today - have lots of class projects that need to be done.  Maybe I can even multi-task and get some laundry done too!

Have a great day!

Saturday, October 1, 2011

Photo Saturday -  a picture from our drive over Red Mountain Pass.  It was so gorgeous!

My plans for yesterday didn't work out exactly as I had planned - Jeff decided to clean out his shed and called to ask if I could help - couldn't say no after all the work he has done out here.   But then I had a surprise visit from an old friend which was really fun and Emily was here to stamp last night so it was a good day!  Now I need to get back on track today.

Enjoy your day!
