Ah.....we're here at our friend Sherry's...getting ready to go to breakfast and then do a little shopping.  Stopped at Archiver's on our way....oh my....lots of washi tape ended up in my car!  And a couple of stamps..... I will have new goodies to play with when I get home:)

The card - The flower (from Penny Black) is stamped in black and colored with copics.  I added a black mat and then a white mat and then popped it up.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts. 

Have a lot of chores to get done today.  Deb & I are going to see our friend Sherry this weekend so I need to get my laundry done and make sure I have project stuff together to work on.

The card - some new printed paper from SU.  The background hexagons are cut out of the printed paper in one piece and attached to the white mat.  Added some splotches and twine and a sentiment.  Sentiment is punched out and popped up.

Rain, rain and more rain.  We need the moisture for sure, but oh my, it makes for dreary days.  Staying in today....need to get some wool projects ready for stitching and then I'll get ready for class tonight.

Not sure what happened to me yesterday.....I was soooo sleepy all day..not just tired, but actually sleepy.  It was weird.  So, I didn't get much done.  So now today I have to finish up the class stuff and then take my car in to be serviced.  Hopefully I can stay awake :)

Project Sunday - I still have a bit of work left on this one - haven't done the backing and the edge yet, but it's almost done :)

Had a wonderful time yesterday at the bbq - an entire afternoon of hanging out, playing ping pong and chowing down on some great food.  Now it's time to get back to work and finish up the class projects for this week.

The card - the rectangles in the background were done by inking up a clear block and then stamping it!  I've found this works really well with the new SU ink pads (never could get it to work so well with the older pads).  The flower image and sentiment are stamped in black on top of the rectangles.  Colors are gumball green, starfruit and primrose.

I got a little sidetracked yesterday and still haven't finished up the class projects.  But that's ok, I still have a few days :)  Today I will be helping a friend get stuff sorted for a yard sale she's having here next week.  Looking forward to some relaxing crafting time with Deb and Emily tonight!

The card - I sponged the background square with some Tim Holtz distress ink.  The butterfly (from SU) is stamped in black on the sponged piece and then I stamped it again and colored it with the same colors, cut it out and popped it up on top of the other one.

Wow, this last month went by fast!  Can't really believe it's the first of May!  That means it's time to get started on class projects again (dang, it seems like I just did that :)

I need to get my work room cleaned up this morning....it's totaled after my stamping marathon yesterday.  But I did get quite a lot done - yay!  Then it's off to get a haircut and do some errands.

For those of you who have asked about the roses....I did those about 4 years ago (there are some other cards done with them on my blog posts from July 2009) ..... if you are interested in knowing how they're done, just google 'stampin up watercolor roses' and you will find some tutorials on them.  They're fun to do and the technique could be used with any flower.

Project Sunday - a fun, easy and quick one.  (the background looks black in the picture, but it's actually navy blue)  This one is going to be a pillow.

It's time to start up the sprinklers and get the lawn watered.  Oh joy....just the beginning of the yard work!  And.....I need to get the laundry done and hopefully get some stamping done.  All that should keep me busy and out of trouble today  I guess :)

The card - another one of the roses..... I used some chevron die cuts at the bottom of the card and added some leaf die cuts and the rose.  (the rose is popped up)

Well I can only hope that I will be more productive today than I was yesterday.  I ended up being pretty darn lazy yesterday...we'll just consider it an r & r day :)   I'm thinking today might be a good day to get some stamping done and then I will need to get ready for class tonight.

The card - I just got the nestabilities hexagon dies so had to use them :)  A simple black and white card....the polka dot strip is washi tape!

The card - more washi tape......the center piece is a square that I covered with strips of washi tape.  I added a bow at the top and the sentiment in the center and popped the whole thing up.  Easy!

Oh my gosh....it looks like winter wonderland outside.  There must be at least 4 inches of snow (if not more) covering everything.  Looks rather pretty...but it's supposed to be spring!  I have a whole list of errands to do but I may put them off for another day :)

The card - it's amazing what you can find when you are cleaning out a stamp room......this card uses two things I found when I was on my re-organizing spree.  The rose is one I did a very long time ago (it's done on watercolor paper) and the black strips are washi tape.  I decided to put them together on a card and this is what I came up with!

I do still have a bit of cleaning out left to do...mostly some desk drawers and a drawer full of embellishments.  So, that's what I'm going to work on today.

I guess my busy week caught up with me yesterday...after a trip to the grocery store and a couple of errands I ran out of steam.....didn't do much the rest of the day.  I think I will spend a nice relaxing day stamping today....the work stuff can wait 'til tomorrow :)

The card - the doily image (from SU) was printed on the background using MDS.  Then I stamped the swirl from Papertrey on top of that.  Added a sentiment and a few pearls.  Card is kraft, panel is vanilla. 

I'm making progress on my room.....yay!  Will work on cleaning out some drawers and cupboards this morning, but we have our Shoebox club tonight and I'm cooking dinner so I will have to take a break from organizing and get ready for that.

The card - an easy sympathy card - image is stamped in black, sentiment is stamped with kraft.  The wide ribbon is kraft (much lighter than it shows in the picture) on top of a piece of black cardstock with a narrow piece of black ribbon on top.

Well, I discovered at least two things yesterday....I have way too many stamps...and I think wool stuff actually takes up more room than stamps.  The re-do is still in progress but will have to wait til tomorrow...today is a full day with class this morning, stitchin' time at Laura's this afternoon and class again tonight.

It's time to do some serious re-arranging in my work room.  I tell ya, this craft stuff multiplies when I'm not looking :)  When you have a stamp room full of stamping stuff and then over a year's time add a whole lot of wool applique stuff it gets totally out of control.  This may be a week long project!
