Project Sunday - I finished this snowman sampler this week - well, the stitching is finished - it needs to be made into a pillow or wall hanging - I'm leaning towards making it a pillow.

I made a lot of progress on my Christmas cards yesterday - yay!  They're not finished yet, but they're getting close.  My friend Eileen is coming over today to stitch so hopefully I will make some progress on Christmas gifts!

Have a terrific day!

Friday, December 5, 2014

The card - snowflake stamps are from SU.  The strips in the center are washi tape and the 'Peace' is a new die cut I bought when I was at our friend Sherry's.

Time to get serious about Christmas gifts and getting Christmas cards done.  Wow , there's not much time left.  So, today I need to get to work - not sure what I will start on, but I must figure out gift things that need to be done or work on Christmas cards - oh, decisions, decisions!

Have a wonderful day!

Come join Jeff at Aspen Photo Art Gallery (6th and Main Street) inside Main St. Bagels in downtown GJ on Friday, December 5 for the annual Christmas Party, Open House and First Friday Art Walk, 5:30-9:00 PM.

This year’s theme includes photos of the Colorado National Monument, and Native American flute music by flutist Tony Babbitt. Lot of goodies, hot spiced cider and coffee while it lasts! I will be displaying a special brand new image that I hope you love!

Other guest photographers include Bob Inglehart, Angela Classen, Rick Ahern and Larry Bennett.

Images from the Colorado National Monument are the focus for this special event. All photographs will be for sale for your Christmas shopping lists. Don't wait to start shopping - only 22 days until Christmas! Buy local art and support the local economy.

Representatives from CNMA will be selling their 2015 calendar and answering questions about this beautiful wonderland in our backyard.

This is a FREE event! Please bring a friend, stop by to say hello, or stick around and make an evening of visiting with all the photographers.

Have a terrific day!

Photo Saturday - sharing Jeff's photo from downtown on Main Street at sunset

Somehow I managed to get through yesterday without accomplishing much of anything....hmmmm...not sure how that happened.  So, today I am going to get some class projects done this morning and then start on the Christmas decorations this afternoon.  And that's my plan!  And I'm sticking to it!!

Have a great day.

Friday, November 28, 2014

I have class projects that need to be done by next week - and the Christmas decorations have to put up by then too.  Hmmm.......guess I will work on either class projects or decorating today. Glad I have Friday night crafting to look forward to :)

Project Sunday - a table mat I finished this week.  This is what I would call a medium size - it's about 14".

Going to breakfast with my friend Eileen this morning and then we'll be coming back here to stitch.  Have lots to get done in the coming weeks!

Have a terrific day!

Photo Saturday - sharing another one of Jeff's photos from the Colorado National Monument.  (I really need to get out and take some pictures of my own :)

And we're off on an adventure today - Judy S and I are going to the craft show in Parachute this morning.  I haven't been to a craft show in a long, long time so I'm looking forward to it.  Should be fun......

Friday, November 21, 2014

The card - hexagon stamp/punch is from SU.  I added a bit of grunge in the background and some small prima flowers.  Colors are honey and mossy meadow.

Hmmm...not sure exactly what direction I'm heading in today.  Looking forward to some stitching time tonight with Emily, but in the meantime I think I need to start figuring out what the heck I'm doing for Christmas gifts.

Have a wonderful day.

Wednesday, November 19, 2014

The card - leaves are die cut from SU, sentiment is also from SU.  Colors are honey and midnight muse.

Sorry you didn't see a post from me yesterday - my internet and phone were out most of the day.  I feel so out of touch when that happens :)   I got some errands done but have a few more I should do today.  Also need to start work on Christmas gifts - or at least start thinking about it!

Have a great day!

Monday, November 17, 2014

The card - The leaf is punched out of a piece of card stock that I stamped with an old script stamp. I sponged the leaf after I punched it out.  The strip is embossed with a music embossing folder that I did at an angle.  Colors are white and mossy meadow.

Need to get the classroom cleaned up before class tonight - I made quite the mess in there on Saturday and just kind of left it :)  I also started the laundry several days ago and kind of got side-tracked so I need to finish that too.

Have a terrific day!

Sunday, November 16, 2014

Misc Sunday - a couple more of my purchases - I did buy something besides wool stuff :)  Couldn't resist this cute little black sheep for my wool room and the sign just needed to be in my house!!!

I spent the entire day yesterday stamping - got quite a batch of cards done - whew!  Now today I'm taking a break, having lunch with my friend Eileen and then we're coming back to the house to get some stitching done - oh yes, I love days like this!

Have a wonderful day.

Saturday, November 15, 2014

Photo Saturday - sharing one of Jeff's photos today.  This was taken just south of Grand Junction on Reeder Mesa.

Let's see, my choices today are to clean house or spend the day stamping......hmmm....hard choice :)

Have a great day!

Friday, November 14, 2014

The card - leaves are from Hero Arts.  Hello is a new die cut that I got on my spending spree while we were at our friend Sherry's.  The card is vanilla and the strips on the side are some patterned paper from my stash.

Aw...the busy part of the week is over - and I even got my calendar toppers done - yay!  Now I need to re-group and figure out what needs to be done next.  I hate to mention it, but I really need to start thinking about Christmas gifts!  And Christmas cards!  Oh my!  I think for today I will just try to get a few chores done around here and look forward to our Friday night crafting and stitching!

Have a super day!

Thursday, November 13, 2014

The card - stamped image (presents) are from SU.  I inked the stamp by coloring it with markers.  It's cut out and popped up.  Colors are white, black, bermuda bay and coastal cabana.

Back to work on calendar toppers today.  What was in my head just wasn't transferring well to paper yesterday - darn! I hate when that happens.....frustrating.  Now I can only hope I can come up with something today that will actually work.

Have a great day!

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

The card - a super simple one today - trying to use up some of the huge stash of printed paper.

I really need to get caught up on some stuff today - tomorrow is our Shoebox Club and I need to get calendar toppers done....... that probably should be my priority today!  Then I will need to get ready for class tonight.

Have a great day!

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

The card - flower is made with 2 seperate stamps/punches from SU.  Both layers of the flower are popped up.  Colors are black and white.

Whew - got the class stuff finished, but I have to get in and get the class room cleaned up before class this morning.  (cut that one a little close :)  Have to go get a haircut this afternoon and then back for another class tonight.  Busy day.

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, November 10, 2014

The card - leaf is punched, scrunched up and distressed.  I made the small frame by punching a square in espresso card stock and then cutting around it leaving a border.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of plain white and attached it under the frame - the frame is popped up.

Whew, lots to do today.  Have to finish up the class projects, get them cut and bagged, get at least a little stamping done so I have something to post here on the blog and I'd really like to finish cleaning up the yard before it gets cold and rains later this week.  Hmm....guess I'll just do my best!

Have a great day!

Sunday, November 9, 2014

Project Sunday - this is a table mat that I finished this week for one of our local stores to use as a sample.

Photo Saturday - sharing one of Jeff's photos today.  He took this on the Colorado National Monument the other night while he was out photographing the full moon. To see more of Jeff's photos go to Jeff's website

I got absolutely nothing done yesterday - the entire day went by and I didn't get the class projects figured out and I never made it outside to clean up the yard.  Oops!  Now I must spend the day getting class projects done.  No excuses today and no getting sidetracked with something else :)

Have a great day!

Friday, November 7, 2014

The card - pumpkins are from Papertrey Ink, sentiment is from CTMH and background splotches are from SU.  The pumpkin on the right is cut out and popped up.  Colors are white, kraft and tangelo.

I need to figure out class projects for next week, but I also need to get some clean-up work done in the yard.  Maybe I can work on both today :)  And, of course there is Friday night crafting with Deb and Emily to look forward to!

Have a great day!

The card - flower is from SU, sentiment is from Stamp A Mania.  Colors are black, white and honey.

Need to put some stitching projects together this morning so I will have something to work on at our Wool Gatherer's group this afternoon.   Looking forward to a relaxing afternoon!

Wednesday, November 5, 2014

The card - stamped image is from Inkadinkado (I think)  I stamped it once with kraft, then flipped it over and stamped it again with cajun.

Didn't get around to doing any laundry yesterday so that is my main goal for the day.  I also have some yard work that needs to be done if it warms up enough this afternoon.

Have a terrific day!

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

The card - leaf is from CTMH - sentiment is a new stamp I picked up when we out shopping on the eastern slope.  It's from a company called Stamp A Mania and I picked up several different ones just because I really liked the font!  Colors are mossy meadow, honey and cajun.

Need to finish up the class projects today and then get ready for class tonight.  Hoping I can multi task and get some laundry done too!

Have a great day!

Monday, November 3, 2014

The card - sentiment is from CTMH and leaf punch is an old McGill punch.  I punched the leaves from white cardstock, then used a square punch to  make the top layer of the squares.  I cut a piece of colored card stock just a bit larger to mat the leaf.  The squares are popped up.  Colors are honey, cajun and espresso.

Down to the wire once again.  Class is tomorrow night and I don't have the projects even started.  Well, I have the paper laying around somewhere...... not a very good start, huh?  Guess that will be my goal for the day - but first I have to clean up the stamping mess I made yesterday  :)

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, November 2, 2014

Project Sunday - while we were visiting our friend Sherry, her friend Connie came over to stitch with us and brought this Halloween mask that she had designed for us to do.  It was so sweet of her - she had the whole thing cut out, ironed together and ready to stitch.  She even supplied the glittery pumpkin to put it on!

Looks like it's going to be a cold, rainy day - perfect for staying in and getting some stamping done and watching a little Bronco football!

Have a terrific day!

Photo Saturday - on Grand Mesa

It's been 17 years since I've lived in a house where I actually had trick-or-treaters on Halloween.  I have to say I was impressed last night - the kids were all polite, said trick-or-treat and thank you and most even added Happy Halloween as they left.  Almost all the kids had parents with them and the parents most of the time added another thank you.  It was a fun evening and I certainly got my exercise getting up and down.  And I even got some stitching done since we also did our usual Friday night crafting :)   Now on to working on class projects today!

Have a great day.

Have a safe and
Happy Halloween!

Thursday, October 30, 2014

The card - leaves are from an old SU set.  The leaves are stamped, sponged, cut out and popped up.

I ended up getting absolutely nothing done yesterday - how the heck did that happen?  I did have a really nice dinner out with Jeff & Sara and Sara's Mom though!  Tonight I'm going out for dinner again with a friend that is visiting from out of town.  That will be fun.  I guess I probably should try to get something done during the day......or not!

Have a great day.

Wednesday, October 29, 2014

The card - stamped images are from SU.  I stamped the images and then punched them out with SU's hexagon punch.  The hexagons are popped up.

Think I will try to get started on class projects today.  Hope I can be productive!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

The card - flower is from SU, stamped with black, colored with copics.  Colors are white and calypso coral.

Not sure what I'm doing today - have some odds and ends of chores that I need to get done so it might be a good day for that.  Then I will need to get ready for class tonight.  Nothing too exciting, but probably enough to keep me busy today!

Have a great day!

Monday, October 27, 2014

The card - stamped image is from SU.  Colors are tangelo and espresso.

Gosh, I had such a good time over the weekend.  A big thank you to Deb for inviting me and to Sherry for being such a wonderful hostess.  I really don't want to return to the 'real world', but I guess I must.   A trip to the grocery store is a top priority since there is not even a slice of bread in the house.  I'll move on from there I guess.

Have a fabulous day!

Sunday, October 26, 2014

On our way home today.   What a fun weekend!  Shopping, eating, visiting and especially spending time with friends.  Couldn't ask for more.  The photos are from a new wool shop that has just opened in Windsor - oh my, my credit card took a hit here.  A great place to shop for wool and patterns!

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday, October 25, 2014

Photo Saturday - loved this fall display in Johnstown, CO

Having way too much fun here - shopping all day yesterday - oh my, not good for my credit card :)  But an awful lot of fun.  Ended with dinner at Five Guys (yummy!) and then a little stitching while watching the World Series.  A perfect day!  Now, we're off for a little more shopping and then back for some stitching time.

Have a terrific day!

Friday, October 24, 2014

The card - flower is from SU, leaves are a SU die cut and strip is washi tape.  The flower is stamped in black, colored with copics, cut out and popped up.

Made it to Sherry's safe and sound.  Hit a bit of rain and even a little snow, but all in all a good trip.  Today Sherry has some friends coming over to stitch with us and tonight we'll be cheering the Broncos on!  Feels good to be away from home for a bit :)

Have a terrific day.

Wednesday, October 22, 2014

The card - background splotches are from SU.  Leaf is punched out, distressed and popped up.  Colors are white, smoky slate, bermuda bay and cajun.

And we're off.......well, in a bit.  Deb will be picking me up this afternoon and we'll be off to the eastern slope to see our friend Sherry.  Yay!  So excited.  In the meantime, I need to get my suitcase packed!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

The card - stamped leaf is from SU.  I used an embossing folder for the panel on the left and added some sponging after embossing.

Whew - the closet is finally finished.  Good thing too, because Deb invited me to go to the eastern slope with her to see our friend Sherry and I need to get my act together today in order to be ready to leave tomorrow.  I am so excited!  Haven't been anywhere since the fateful trip to California and I am so looking forward to a bit of vacation - and of course seeing our friend Sherry!  Woo hoo!

Have a terrific day!
