Project Sunday - June's 'Block of the Month'
I still didn't get around to do any stamping yesterday - I ended up just having a 'do nothing' kind of day. Read a book, took a nap, watched some tv - basically a really lazy day. Today, I'm ready for some action...ha ha! But I am looking forward to going to breakfast with my friend Eileen and then spending the afternoon stitching.
Have a great day!

The card - butterfly is a die cut from SU. The stamped 'grunge' in the background is also from SU. The small flowers are punched out. Colors are watermelon and smoky slate.
Hmmm....I'm not sure what I'm doing today. I was concentrating so hard on getting class stuff done that I hadn't really made a plan for today. Maybe I'll get some yard work done or work on some inside chores or go do some errands. We'll see.
Have a wonderful day!

Class this morning and again tonight. (good thing I finished those projects yesterday :) I may just take a nap in between - didn't sleep well for some reason and a nap already sounds good!

The card - super simple one today. The background stamp is from Kaiser Kraft and is stamped with kraft. The sentiment and flower are from SU and are stamped with Not Quite Navy. The flower is punched out and popped up.
Well, for the first time ever I had to postpone tonight's class because I don't have the projects done. I tried, and tried, but everything I tried to do ended up in the trash. Not a good stamping week. So, everyone was very understanding and we'll do tonight's class another time. So today I'm taking a break from the whole stamping thing and I'm going to spend the afternoon at a stitching class. I should have better luck with that since I don't have to be the least bit creative - yay!

The card - just a little black and white for this one. The striped piece is just pieces of washi tape. I put the tape on a piece of white and then simple flagged the end. The circle is punched out and popped up and then the small banner with the sentiment is added.
Back to work on those class projects - I didn't get even one done yesterday. Not sure where my mojo is, but nothing was working. Hope I have better luck today.

Time to get serious - I have class tomorrow night and Wednesday night and I haven't even started on the projects. Oops! Staying in the stamp room until I have them finished today - at least that's my plan!

It ended up being a bit cooler yesterday morning so I actually went out and did a bit of yard work. Still have some to do but the rest can wait a day a two. Now I need to figure out what I'm going to work on this afternoon at our Wool Gatherer's Club.
Have a great day!

Never got around to the yard work yesterday - spent most of the day doing errands. Whew, it was hot! At one point the radio said it was 104 - yikes. Need to think about class stuff for July so I may work on that today - yep, I'm putting off the yard work :)

Have a wonderful day.

Project Sunday - On the last day of my vacation in southern California I got to go shopping at the new Primitive Gatherings store in Murrieta California. (a quilt shop with lots of wool applique stuff ) What fun! I could have spent a fortune there, but I kept reminding myself I had to be able to get the stuff in my suitcase! It was a lovely store and the people were super friendly. Probably just as well we don't have one closer to home!
Not sure what the plan is for today. I all of a sudden have a very free day with no commitments....hmmmmm....maybe I'll just read a book and take a nap!
Have a wonderful day!

I had planned on going to a stitching thing this afternoon, but I may have to pass on that. We'll see - maybe I can be super industrious this morning. So....I better get busy.
