Photo Sunday - Grand Mesa

Lots of 'Grandma time' this weekend.  Jeff is off on a photo taking expedition and Sara is working.   OK by me.   Not sure what we'll do today, maybe the Palisade Farmer's Market - we'll see.

Have a great day!

Friday, July 20, 2018

The card - love my Penny Black stamps - have to dig them out once in a while!  The right side is an old script border stamp and the left side is two strips of washi tape.  I inked the flower stamp with markers.

'Grandma time' today.  Looking forward to a fun day with a friend and her grandkids.

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, July 19, 2018

The card - more vases.  The blue and the green on this card are two of SU's new colors.  I like the way they look with crumb cake!

Time to mow the lawn.  That's my job today.  I'm thinking that I may take a drive up to the mountains this afternoon.  Haven't had my camera out of the bag in months and it's way cooler up there.... it's supposed to hit a 103 today, so it just may be time for a little photo trip!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, July 18, 2018

The card - a simple birthday one using some printed paper and a little added twine.   The stamped images are from SU.

Hmmm...never got around to getting any of the things done yesterday that I had planned on.  Got so sidetracked with some computer stuff that ended up pretty much wasting the whole day!  Ugh!  Oh well....moving on.  Today's plan is to at least get a bit of housework done!   But looking forward to a fun evening stitching with friends.

Have a great day!

Tuesday, July 17, 2018

The card - Vase and flowers from SU.  The flowers are stamped on the background piece, the vase is stamped and then punched out and popped up.

Yard work and maybe a little house cleaning - that's my goal for the day anyway!

Have a great day!

Monday, July 16, 2018

The card - yep, it's true - I love my flip flops!   One of my favorite stamp sets from Paper Trey Ink.  The flip flops are stamped, cut out and popped up.  I used some old handmade paper I found in my drawer for the sand.  (Sandpaper also works well)

'Grandma time' today.  That's it!

Have a terrific day!

Friday, July 13, 2018

The card - more vases.  The vase is stamped,  then punched out with the cordinating punch and popped up.   The flowers are a two-step stamp, the outline is stamped with black and the fill in is navy blue.

'Grandma time' today, Friday night crafting tonight.  That's all.

Have a great day!

Thursday, July 12, 2018

The card - another new SU set called Varied Vases.  I'm having so much fun with this set!  So many ideas for this one.  Simple, layout, but I like it!

Yard work this morning (didn't get the lawn mowed yesterday) and then off to get a haircut.  That's all I have planned for the day, but hopefully I can get motivated to get some other chores done!

Have a terrific day!

Wednesday, July 11, 2018

The card - dandelion, a sentiment, some twine and bling.  Easy peasy!

Turns out I have a free day today.  I better try to get some stamping done - out of cards again!  But, the lawn needs to be mowed too, so I'll see what I can get done!  (a nap sounds good!!!)

Have a great day!

Tuesday, July 10, 2018

The card - more dandelion....love this stamp set!   I stamped the image on a piece of white cardstock, then cut it into strips before mounting it on the black.  The panel is popped up.

Sorry I missed yesterday.  Just totally spaced it out.  It was a 'Grandma time' day, so I never even remembered until much later.  Today I have to get ready for a class this morning, and then a friend is coming over to stitch tonight.  Maybe I'll get something accomplished in between - or not!

Have a wonderful day!

Friday, July 6, 2018

The card - just some cool printed paper.  The sentiment was even included in this 6 x 6 paper pad.

'Grandma time' today.  Tonight we're off to a GJ Rockies game.  We get to watch the game and the fireworks from 'the enclosed tower room.'  Woohoo!

Have a great day!

Thursday, July 5, 2018

The card - more dandelions.  The center panel is matted and popped up and has some twine wrapped around.  Easy!

Have a great day!

Hope everyone is
having a super holiday!

Enjoy!

Tuesday, July 3, 2018

The card - more dandelions from SU.  I usd a Papertrey Ink grunge stamp behind the flowers.  I stamped one full strength and then stamped a couple more without re-inking the stamp to get a little bit lighter look.

Grocery shopping this morning and then an afternoon of stitching at Hi Fashion.  Looking forward to a nice relaxing afternoon!

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, July 2, 2018

The card - just some nice, pretty printed paper.  Added some ribbon and a sentiment.

'Grandma time' today.  Looking forward to some stitching time with a friend tonight.

Have a terrific day!

Friday, June 29, 2018

The card - Dandelion Wishes from SU.  Love this new set!

"Grandma time' today.  Yay!   That's pretty much it for the day!

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, June 28, 2018

The card - just one more with the printed vellum.  No coloring on this one - I just attached it to a colored piece of card stock of the same size and then matted it with black and added a few pieces of bling and a die cut sentiment.    (This vellum is from Stampin Up - it's called Graceful Glass Designer Vellum and is on page 188 of the catalog!)

Gosh, I managed to stay focused yesterday and got all my inside chores done - yay!  Now, today it's time to do some yard work and I need to get out there this morning before it gets too hot - the 104 degree temps are getting a little warm for me!  So, I'm off for a walk, then mowing the lawn.  Looking forward to dinner out with a friend tonight!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, June 27, 2018

Just in case you are interested:

The card - here's one more using the vellum printed sheets from SU.  I attached these using some tiny specks of clear glue .

Planning on a day of catching up on chores.  Somehow my plans for yesterday just didn't work out - I kept getting totally sidetracked.  So, today I plan on getting everything done I was going to do yesterday!   LOL!  (It's just a plan, right?)   Looking forward to doing some stitching tonight with friends!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, June 26, 2018

The card - this is another piece of the printed vellum from SU.  I just colored the back side with Copics.  The sentiment is heat embossed with white.

Eye Dr. this morning, class tonight.  Hopefully I can get some chores done in between.

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, June 25, 2018

The card - more of this cool dandelion set from SU.  Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  Easy layout.

Lots of 'Grandma time' over the weekend and more today!

Have a great day!

Friday, June 22, 2018

The card - another new set - Emily also gave me this Dandelion (SU) set for my birthday!  It really is my favorite from the new catalog!  The yellow is also new - one of the new In-Colors.  Fun stuff!

'Grandma time' today.  That's it.  Some Friday night crafting tonight.  Looking forward to a fun day!

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, June 21, 2018

The card - some new stuff!  My friend Emily gave me this cool pad of SU embossed vellum paper for my birthday!  You color the back of the piece (I used Copics) and then I attached it to a strip of white paper.  Pretty darn cool!  I will be doing more cards with this paper!

Awww....a free day!   I think the birthday celebrations are over til next year.  Wow - what awesome friends and family I have!  I am truly blessed.  I plan on getting some stamping done today since I'm fairly caught up on other chores.  Hopefully I can be productive!

Have a terrific day!

Tuesday, June 19, 2018

The card - I love this card!    Lots of stuff though - the background is embossed (Stampin Up), the spotches are just some grunge, the strips are washi tape, and the circle is a die cut (Stampin Up.)  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and then there's just some bling and ribbon.  Whew!

Another birthday celebration today!  It's been quite a week!  I think I've had a birthday celebration almost every day since last Tuesday.  What fun!  So, my friend Judy and I are going to lunch and then a stroll down Main Street, - maybe even a movie.  Sounds good to me!  Then I have friends coming over to stitch tonight (just a regular evening, no bday stuff involoved!)  So, it's going to be a very good day!

Hope you all have a very good day too!

Monday, June 18, 2018

The card - some printed paper, ribbon and a Hero Arts butterfly stamp.  Easy peasy!

'Grandma time' today.  That's it!

Have a great day!

Saturday, June 16, 2018

Photo Saturday - some pretty stuff up on the Colorado National Monument   (Jeff's website)

Not sure what's happening today.  I was going to watch Hudson while Jeff did some work in the back yard, but it's supposed to rain (just a few sprinkles so far) so not sure if that plan is going to happen.  We'll see!

Have a terrific day!

Friday, June 15, 2018

The card - more printed paper.  This paper is so pretty in real life - the bottom part has shiny silver dots in it and the top part has leaves that are glossy.  So cool.  I just added a a die cut butterfly and a sentiment.  Quick and easy.

'Grandma time' today - yay!  And another birthday dinner tonight.  Oh yeah, I love birthday month!

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, June 14, 2018

The card - left side is an embossed bithday panel and right side is a flower from Penny Black.  I inked the flower with markers.

Aww....June.....my birthday month!  The celebrations have been a little slow in coming this year, but now we're getting to it!   A friend treated me to dinner last night and tonight we'll be celebrating at our Shoebox Club!  Yay!   But, first I need to get some chores done this morning and then I'll be off to our Wool Gatherer's meeting this afternoon.  A fun day!

Have a great day!

Wednesday, June 13, 2018

The card - just a simple kraft and white card.  The flower stamp is from SU (a very old one).  I inked the stamped with markers.  The top smaller panel is popped up.

Off to Hi Fashion today for some stitching time - although I still have to get my project ready - I got the pieces cut yesterday, but they are not attached......oh oh.  Better get to work.

Have a terrific day!

Tuesday, June 12, 2018

The card - a little more printed paper.  Just punched some circles out and added a sentiment, some ribbon and a little bling.  Background is embossed.  Super easy!

A lot of 'Grandma time' lately.  That's ok by me, but I sure don't get much done!  I have a class this morning and then friends coming over to stitch tonight.  I must spend the afternoon getting something put together or I won't have anything to stitch on!   And right now I'm hoping to get in gear and get the lawn mowed before class this morning!  So, I better get with it.

Have a terrific day!

Thursday, June 7, 2018

The card - Just something a little different.  I think I would like it better with a different choice of colors.  The strip down the left side is washi tape and the right side is an old script stamp.  I inked the flower with markers.

A bit of a free morning (not sure what I'm going to do) but I'm looking forward to our Wool Gatherer's Group at Hi Fashion this afternoon.

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, June 6, 2018

The card - more printed paper.  The panel is a piece of green card stock with a strip of printed paper and a strip of kraft.  Just added some twine and a sentiment.

Didn't get my yard work done yesterday - it got too hot (should have done it first I guess)  So, today is yard work day - or yard work morning anyway!  Hopefully this afternoon I can get a bit of stamping done (I'm out of cards again) and then I have friends coming over later to stitch.

Have a great day!

Tuesday, June 5, 2018

The card - just some more paper.  The strips along the side are 1/4 " strips cut from one piece of patterned paper and then attached leaving a tiny space between each strip.  I added a couple of  Prima flower that started out white, but I sponged ithem with a bit of pink.

Aw....a free day!   Time to clean my house.  That seems to be one job that gets away from me these days - but I've learned that other things are much more important so it gets done on a irregular basis these days 😊  But today is the day along with yard work.

Have a great day!

Monday, June 4, 2018

The card - just some black and white.  Stripes across the center is a piece of printed paper.  Sentiment is stamped on white and then punched with a label punch (whoa, it's really crooked!).  Leaves at the top are a die cut and leaves at the bottom are stamped.

'Grandma time' today.  We get to begin another session of Kindermusik - fun!

Have a terrific day!

Off to Weight Watcher's this morning and then some extra 'Grandma time' today - yay!

Have a great day!

Friday, June 1, 2018

The card - more printed paper used as a accent.  I attached the printed paper and then stamped directly over it with the black flower.

'Grandma time' today!  Yay!  Friday night crafting tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, May 31, 2018

The card - just pieces from printed paper.  This is all from the same 12 x 12 piece of paper and I wish you could see it in real life - so pretty.  It is black with copper in it - soooo cool.  The butterfly is a die cut.

Had a very productive day yesterday - can only hope I can have another one today 😉  Feels so good to get so much done!  Haircut this morning and later today friends are coming over to stitch.   It's going to be another good day!

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, May 30, 2018

The card - playing with some new printed paper that I picked up at Seasons to Follow.  Using some pretty paper makes for a quick and simple card!

A free day and plenty of chores to keep me busy.

A report from the eye Dr. - after the tests yesterday he determined that I do have Glaucoma in my left eye .  It is fairly recent so has not done any damage yet - good news!  I will be taking an eye drop in my left eye every night at bedtime.  Whew - I can live with that!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, May 29, 2018

The card - background is printed paper.  I stamped the flower (Tim Holtz) on the full piece and then trimmed the bottom piece off to make it a little smaller and leave the border around both pieces.

Off to the eye Dr this morning for more tests.  Have to go this morning, at noon and then again late afternoon.  Pretty much takes care of my day.

Have a great day!

Sunday, May 27, 2018

Photo Sunday - Hudson loves going to the park - and we go a lot because it is right across the street!  He's getting braver all the time, but when he tried to climb up on the top rung I had to tell him to stop because there would be nothing to hold onto!  😊

I got a bit of stamping done yesterday so I will be back with some cards on Tuesday!

Wednesday, May 23, 2018

The card - sorry, this is not a good scan - the card is so much prettier in real life.  The daisy is from SU and is stamped, punched out and popped up.  It's a simple card but lovely in real life.

Sorry I've been missing in action for a few days.  Life is just keeping me busy.  I'm out of cards to post and haven't had time to stamp.  Hudson is keeping me busy and life in general just keeps getting in the way!  I'm hoping to find some time to stamp over the weekend, so hopefully I'll be back next week!

On the good side, Weight Watchers is going well  - I've lost 7 lbs. - yay!  Only 20 more to go!  On the not so good side I went to have my eyes checked yesterday and they think I have glaucoma in my left eye.  I have to go in for some more tests on Tuesday so I'll know more then, but that wasn't very good news!    I do have cute new glasses coming though - that will be fun!

So,  I will be back soon!  In the mean time - Happy Stampin'!

Have a great day!

Thursday, May 17, 2018

The card - a collage - background is a script stamp and I added a flower (from SU) and a clock (7 Gypsies).  The butterfly is stamped in black on colored paper, punched out and popped up.  I also use a bit of the same color with a grunge stamp on the background.

Oh my, what to do first today.  Have a list, but not sure I'm motivated to do any of them.  Would like to get some stuff together so I can go stitch this afternoon at Inspirations.  Friends coming over later this afternoon for stitching so I at least have to get my act together by then!  (I think I used all my energy on the garage yesterday - not feeling it today - but, I got the garage at least straightened up and the car washed -yay!)   Maybe some more caffeine and I will be inspired - hahaha!

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, May 16, 2018

The card - just some printed paper cut for a 'puzzle effect'.

Class tonight, but before that my plan is to work on getting the garage straightened up.  What a mess.....I really need to do a big cleaning, including getting rid of a LOT of stuff, but that job seems just a bit too over whelming, so I will make do with just a bit of organizing today!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, May 15, 2018

The card - some grunge in the background with a butterfly die cut and a sentiment - easy peasy!

Class this morning and then a birthday dinner for my son Jeff tonight.  Fun!

Have a great day!

Monday, May 14, 2018

The card - super simple - background is just printed paper.  Celebrate (from Papertrey Ink) is stamped in black.  I added a metal clip with some string attached at the top.  Fast & easy!

'Grandma time' today.  That's it!

Have a great day!

Sunday, May 13, 2018

Wednesday, May 9, 2018

The card -, again, not a card.  This is October's calendar topper.  It's all done with printed paper.  It started out as a 12 x 12 piece and I cut it down to fit the calendar.  The house is cut out of one portion and the moon and witch are cut out of another portion and popped up.

Lots of 'Grandma time' this week - the babysitter is sick, so it turns out I will most likely have Hudson all week.  Probably won't get much accomplished, but that's ok.

Have a great day!

Monday, May 7, 2018

The card - not a card :)  I still haven't gotten any stamping done but the next few posts I will show you some calendar toppers.  They can certainly be used for ideas for a card (in fact, some of them I actually did a card using the same layout!  This is my April calendar topper.  The background is printed paper, the sentiment is from Hero Arts and the butterflies are from SU.

I've had Hudson for the last 4 days - all fun stuff - but it means I really haven't gotten any thing else done.  Maybe this week - we'll see.  I do need to start doing some yard work, so that will probably be my priority this week.

Oh, and just a side note - my first weigh-in at WW was Saturday - I lost 5 lbs. last week - WooHoo!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, May 1, 2018

The card - I never get tired of this butterfly embossing folder (from Darice).  Super easy with just some punched out butterflies nnd a sentiment added to it.

Catching up on chores today!  I actually cancelled a stitching morning....I've had Hudson so much lately (love that part!) that I am so far behind in everything else - I have other things every day this week so I am taking the time and trying to get caught up today  (hahaha)  Well, it's worth a try anyway!

I also may not be able to post for the next few days - I'm out of cards and I need to find some time to stamp! Not sure when that's going to happen!

Have a wonderful day!
