Photo Sunday - Jeff went to Crested Butte last weekend on a photo trip. He ended up coming home a bit early because he wasn't feeling well, but he still got some nice shots!

Project Sunday - oh my, finally, a finished project.  Seems like I've been working on this Swedish Weaving blanket forever!  But, it's finally finished and now I can move on to another project.  Yay!

Today is going to be one last birthday celebration!  (it got postponed a couple of times :)  A friend and I are going for a drive up to Grand Mesa for some sight seeing and lunch and just a fun day out!   It will be a nice change in temperature too (we broke our record high on Friday - it hit 108!   Yikes, it's been hot!)  But it should be much cooler up on the mountain - and I'm hoping for lots of wild flowers!

The card - more peach stuff.  This is just a bit of the DSP that goes with the peach stamps!  The background piece is embossed with the new bark embossing folder.  The two pieces of patterned paper are matted with a piece of white and the whole panel is popped up.    The sentiment piece is die cut and the sentiment is heat embossed with white.    The tiny flower is hand cut from a piece of the patterned paper.

The card - oh my gosh.....I LOVE this new Peach set (SU).  (Just 10 miles down the road is where the very best peaches are grown!  I wait all year for the Palisade peaches to get ripe and then I eat them every day until the last of the season!  So I had to get this set when I saw it!)   It's very cool and the paper to match is so pretty too.    So, the card....   there is a piece of patterned paper in the  background (green).  The top layer is a piece of white with another piece of patterned paper on the right side.  The peaches and leaves are stamped, die cut and then popped up.  I sponged and added speckles with a bit of color in the background and stamped just a few of the small flowers (although most of them got covered up!)  There is a bit of ribbon under the peaches but it didn't show up well in the photo.  

Today - playing with stamps again.  Have a couple more new things left to play with!  😀

No plans for today.  The Dr said I was walking on my foot too much.....dang!  So, now I have a little knee scooter and I'm supposed to stay off my foot!  Frustrating!    Trying my best, but it is hard!    I find I get up and down too much when I'm stamping, so I guess I will try to get some wool applique projects finished!

The card - I stamped a few flowers on a strip of matching cardstock.  The black scalloped edge is die cut and added under the added strip.  Smaller white panel is die cut with flowers stamped in black and colored with Stampin Blends.    Sentiment piece is die cut with stamped sentiment.

Well, got my new 'shoe' yesterday.  Turned out a bit better than I thought.  No 'boot' just a 'shoe' and no crutches.  (Yay!)   Supposed to stay off it as much as possible, but can get around the house and get out a bit.  Only for 3 - 6 weeks instead of 6 - 8 weeks - that was definitely good news.  Still will be doing a lot of sitting, so hoping to get a lot of projects done!!!

AND.....it's birthday month - woo hoo!  First birthday dinner tonight!  Fun times ahead!

Well......turns out my foot is broken.  Two fractured bones.  Went and got it x-rayed yesterday.  Have to have it checked by another Dr today and then get fitted for one of those lovely 'boots'.  6-8 weeks with the boot (and maybe crutches).  Not fun - especially for the biggest part of the summer.   Dang!  Ok, thinking positive here - lots of sitting time so maybe I can get lots of stamping, knitting and Swedish Weaving done!   Right???  Being really thankful that it happened AFTER vacation and not before!!!
