Photo Sunday - my haul at the Farmer's Market yesterday.  Palisade peaches are the very best and watermelon and cantaloupe from Green River, Utah are my favorites!  Now I just need to pick up some Olathe Sweet Corn and some local tomatoes!  I love fresh summer fruit and vegetables!

No big plans for today except a trip to the grocery store.  I am thinking I might be starting a new project, just have to decide if I am in the mood for that.  It might be a book and nap day!!!

Saturday quote.....

A bit of 'Grandma time' with Ethan today.  Jeff and Hudson are going to see the new Paw Patrol Movie, soo Ethan and I will hang out  here for awhile.  Before that though I need to run to the Farmers Market up the road for some peaches!  I'm out and I need to feed my habit!  Love the fresh peaches here and have to take advantage while I can!!!!

The rain certainly cleared the smoky air out of the valley yesterday. Yay! It was so nice, we really needed it.  Going to have to wait to mow my lawn though, it's very wet this morning and it's almost chilly enough to turn on the heat.  (ok, I will resist, but it's hard!!)   I have to get busy in the stamp room, I have to have a calendar topper done by tonight and I haven't even started!  Oops, better get to work!

Good news - Ethan's Covid test came back negative.  He can go back to day care starting today!  So glad he is ok!   And maybe I can get back into my routine - ok, maybe that is just a dream!  But, I'll try.  I do have a list of things I need to get done!  Maybe I can get started on that list today!  Or at least this morning.  Looking forward to an afternoon with the knitting/handwork group - yay! - some adult conversation!  

On another note:  if you follow my blog by email you may have received a notice from 'Follow It' asking if you want to continue to receive the emails.  This is legit.  Blogger discontinued use of the old subscriber and I've changed to 'Follow It'.  It's been a bit confusing to say the least and I haven't quite figured it all out yet.  (leave it to me to wait til the last minute)  Hopefully you are still receiving the emails as before with no problem.  Getting it under control is on my 'list' of things to do!!!  

So, now I'm off to start on my list of things to get done!  It's pouring rain at the moment and I think it's supposed to last all day - that may keep me from running errands, but there's plenty to do here anyway!  I'm just so glad for the rain!  We need it so bad.

I-70, which of course is closed and has been for several days.  They have no idea when they will be able to open it again.  Because it is the main route from the western slope to the eastern slope of Colorado it is causing a multitude of issues.    

'Grandma time' today.  A fun overnighter last night - dinner out with friends at our favorite local hamburger place and then Hudson and I watched most of the Disney movie Luca.  No big plans for today - the smoke from the California fires is pretty bad here so it's better to be inside than out.

Woo hoo!  The Dr said I could walk!  So excited to be able to do something once again!  I can't go for a 'walk' for a couple of weeks yet, but I can go to the store, mow my lawn and go back to driving my own car!  (with a clutch!)  Pretty much everything except go for an actual walk!  Yay!   I'm feeling like I should have made a list of all the things I wanted (or needed) to do when I could walk again........now I can't remember what they were!  lol!   Hopefully I'll remember!

Project Sunday - oh my, finally, a finished project.  Seems like I've been working on this Swedish Weaving blanket forever!  But, it's finally finished and now I can move on to another project.  Yay!

Today is going to be one last birthday celebration!  (it got postponed a couple of times :)  A friend and I are going for a drive up to Grand Mesa for some sight seeing and lunch and just a fun day out!   It will be a nice change in temperature too (we broke our record high on Friday - it hit 108!   Yikes, it's been hot!)  But it should be much cooler up on the mountain - and I'm hoping for lots of wild flowers!
