Not much stamping on this card. Printed paper and die cuts. Came out rather nice though. The label and leaves are die cuts and paper is from SU.

More cleaning out today. I did get to scratch off another job from my list yesterday. But, somehow I managed to make an even bigger mess in the main room downstairs. And because I have a class tonight I guess the main objective today is to get that mess cleaned up. (I think I'm going to need more than 2 weeks to get everything on my list done)

Have a wonderful day!

I'm thinking spring - just wondering when it will be here! I dug out some older stamps for this card - SU's Happy Harmony and Garden Silhouettes. Colors are Perfect Plum, Pretty in Pink and old olive.

Back to work on my list - I didn't acutally finish anything yesterday (although I was busy all day) so today I must finish the area I was working on yesterday so I can mark it off the list!

Happy stampin'

Another card with SU's Fifth Avenue Floral. Black and Kiwi - kind of a striking combination. The black panel is stamped with versa mark, then embossed with clear embossing powder. I actually tried embossing with black, but it didn't show up as well as the clear.

I got lots of small jobs done yesterday, and was able to scratch some things off my list - today I am going to get started on some of the bigger projects.

Linda and I drove up to Grand Mesa yesterday - oh my - it was a perfect day - lots of sunshine and lots of snow. It has been several years since I've been to Grand Mesa in the winter and I had forgotten just how beautiful it is with all the snow. It was a great day!
I've had a crazy schedule the last two weeks - something going on every night. Now I have a little bit of a break for the next two weeks. But, I have a long list of things I want to get done and I'm going to see just how many things I can get marked off the list!
Have a great day!

Sunday, February 15, 2009

This card is done with one of SU's new sets called Fifth Avenue Floral. On the first try I hadn't popped up the chocolate flower, but then Deb made one (with different colors) and popped it up and of course it looked so much better, I had to go back and change it. The flowers are stamped with chocolate, baja and saraha sand.

Not sure what the plans are for today - but Linda and I may drive up to Grand Mesa. I think the weather is supposed to be decent today and tomorrow before another storm comes in on Monday night! So, here's hoping we can get some nice snowy winter pictures.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Happy
Valentine's
Day

Friday, February 13, 2009

These colors remind me more of fall, but I really liked the layout. (copied from the SU catalog) Stamp is from Stampendous.

Snow? It's winter again! Darn! I was going to do a few errands today, but think I'll put them off. I am going to be a wimp and avoid going out today.

Have to get the stamp room cleaned up a bit today. Deb is coming over later and I need to at least have a place for her to work. Can't see the table at this point. So, I'm off to shovel snow and then come in and do some cleaning up.

Have a wonderful day.

Thursday, February 12, 2009

More kraft, chocolate and red. What can I say - I just really like this color combo. Stamps are from SU. This layout would work well with lots of different color combinations so I hope it inspires you.

Have to go get a hair cut this morning and then come home and get a project ready for our Shoebox Club tonight. Have no idea what I'm going to do at this point, so I hope some kind of inspiration strikes.

Happy stampin'

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

I started out thinking I would use this card for my Valentine card but decided cutting out those little hearts was just too much for several cards - yep, I was being lazy. Stamp is from SU - colors are riding hood red and chocolate.

Have too many things to get done today. Not sure where to start. Probably with the laundry since it is overflowing the basket. I guess that's a clue. Class tonight.

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Here is a card with one of SU's new sets - Thoughts and Prayers. I love the images in this set. I borrowed Deb's to do this card, but I ordered it at stamp club last night so you will see more cards in the future using it. Colors are kraft, chocolate and not quite navy.

Deb did some awsome cards at stamp club last night - as usual. And Linda made a very tasty treat. Great evening.

Class this morning and again this evening. Must get busy as I don't have the stuff together for this morning's class yet. Oops - guess I better get with it.

Have a wonderful day.

Monday, February 9, 2009

A bit out of my comfort zone with these colors, but I have to try something new once in a while. Stamp is from Inkadinkado - colors are Kiwi, black, basic gray and kraft.

Have to call a plumber today - the hot water in the shower won't turn on! Not good! Then I have to finish cutting card kits and clean up the basement for Stamp Club tonight. A full day.

Happy stampin'

The last layout of Christmas Day pictures. I am so thankful to Karen for telling me about having pictures developed in wallet size. I love working with them! The page on the left is done with all wallet size - no cropping! Thank you Karen for the wonderful tip!

Linda and I postponed our drive up to Grand Mesa til next weekend - we're hoping to have a better picture taking day then.

Since I was home for the day Deb came over and we spent the entire afternoon stamping. We both got a lot done - I managed to get the cards done for card classes - yea!, plus a few extra.

I seem to have a bit of a mess in every room in the house so I think I better start my day today by getting some of it picked up. Then I will move on to cutting kits for class.

Have a great day!

Saturday, February 7, 2009

A little embossing on this card. The top piece is dry embossed with the cuttlebug - the bottom I stamped and embossed with white. Stamp is Hero Arts.

Where did the sun go? I was really liking the weather - now today it's dreary outside and the weather says there is a chance of rain. Figures - Linda and I were planning on driving up to Grand Mesa to get some snow pictures - not sure it's going to be a great day for picture taking. Darn!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend

Friday, February 6, 2009

This is another of the scrapbook pages we did for class last month. My usual clean and simple.

What happened to my card yesterday? The picture is pink & gray? What's up with that - it was blue bayou when I posted it. The wonders of cyber space I guess, but it sure is weird.

I'm looking forward to today - Judy S is coming this afternoon to play and Deb is coming tonight. (at least I hope that is still the plan) I am giving up on class cards for the day - I still haven't managed to get even one card put together that I like. So I am going to give it a rest and just do something for fun.

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, February 5, 2009

Loved these funky flowers when I saw them at Hobby Lobby - just had to have them! (they are from Stampendous) Nice and easy card - used Bayou and soft sky. Flower brads are from Making Memories.

Didn't get much done yesterday so I'm going to try and make up for it today. Have lots of errands to do and still need to get cards done for class next week. (that wasn't going so well yesterday) The plan is to work on cards this morning and go do errands this afternoon - I am loving the sunshine and warm temps that we've been having - nice, spring like weather! Yea! Class tonight.

Happy stampin'

Wednesday, February 4, 2009

I wasn't terribly thrilled with the way this card came out - it's lacking something, but I couldn't figure out what else to do with it. What I do like are the flowers - saw these on a blog somewhere and wanted to try them. I started by stamping a word background stamp, then used that piece for the flowers. (I used a die cut, but you could also use different sizes of punches). I sponged the edges of each flower and then layered them and added a brad in the center. Pretty cool huh?

Nothing exciting today - need to get to work on cards for classes that start next week. Maybe do some errands and try to finish up some paper work. Class tonight.

Have a great day!

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

A Scrapbook page! This is one of the layouts we did in class last month - I just added the pictures.

Today - prep for tonight's class (mostly a little cleaning up from last night) then lots of cutting and bagging for tomorrow night's class. It's a busy week!

Enjoy your day!

Monday, February 2, 2009

Valentine's Day is getting closer. This card is done with an old SU set - Dream Come True. Color is Rose Red.

I actually got some scrapping done yesterday - and even made a few cards. It was a very productive day! Yea! Scrap Class is tonight and I have to get the projects cut and bagged. (plus clean up my mess from yesterday)

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, February 1, 2009

Very subtle card today. The stamps are from SU - colors are chocolate, kraft and mellow moss.

I had a great time playing with Kris and Darilyn yesterday - although I have to say I think they got way more done than I did. I only managed to cover the table with paper and pictures - didn't get even one page put together. Guess I have to work myself back into the scrapping mode. Because the mess is still there I'm thinking I will try to get something actually put together today. What a concept!

Enjoy your day!

Saturday, January 31, 2009

Not much stamping on this card. I used some patterned paper from SU (Urban Garden) and added some die cut flowers, a prima flower and ribbon. (I crumpled the paper on the larger, background flower just to give it a little more dimension) Colors are grey and baja.

Today I am going to try and get some scrapping done. It's been too long and the pictures are piling up. Kris and Darilyn are coming over to work (play) so that should keep me motivated.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Friday, January 30, 2009

Simple enough - stamp is from Autumn Leaves, paper is Close to My Heart. Black, and vanilla.

Had a wonderful day yesterday. Judy and I went to Delta, shopped at The Scrappy Moose - I got some paper and Tim Holtz do-dads. We had lunch at Davetos - yum! Had class last night. A perfectly nice, relaxing day.

Today I have to get started on class projects and then Deb and Sherry are coming to play tonight! I am hoping for a very productive day!

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, January 29, 2009

Nice and simple - black and red - stamp is from Autumn Leaves - pearl embellishments are Kaiser Craft.
Judy S and I are driving to Delta today. Need a little break - and a little retail therapy at the Scrappy Moose. Should be fun!
Enjoy your day!

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

Same Penny Black stamp as yesterday - just a different layout and colors. Colors are kraft and baja.

I am going to try for a more productive day today - except for class last night I pretty much got nothing done yesterday. Today will be better, I hope!

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, January 27, 2009

This is one of the cards that I did while Deb was here on Sunday. The flower stamp is from Penny Black, Happy Birthday is Hero Arts. Colors are cocoa, caramel and chocolate.

I got all my odds and ends done yesterday, but not the paper work - yep, I was procrastinating on that and ran out of time & energy. Oops. So, guess what I will be doing today.

Happy stampin'

Monday, January 26, 2009

This is a card I did quite a while ago, but it has always been one of my favorites. It's one of those that really looks much prettier in person - the picture doesn't do it justice. The stamped image is from SU - the background behind the trees is done with chalk. Colors are black, olive and orange.

Today is a paper work day - ugh! Not my favorite. Then I have several odds and ends of things to do. I'm going to try and get all that icky stuff done today because I need to work on class projects the rest of the week.

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday, January 25, 2009

I think this is one of my new favorite color combinations - kraft, not quite navy, and baja. The stamp is from Autumn Leaves.

I got some stamping done last night - almost finished with my Valentine Cards. Yea! Deb is coming over this afternoon and I'm hoping to get some cards done for posting - I'm running low and soon won't have anything to post - oh no!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Saturday, January 24, 2009

Another card idea from the new SU catalog. Stamp is from Papertrey Ink. Colors are chocolate, olive and riding hood red.

We had such a fun evening last night - I cooked dinner for Emily and Deb's birthday and we planned on doing our usual Friday night stamping and scrapping - however, we ended up sitting at the table visiting all evening. No stamping or scrapping got done, but what a fun, relaxing time!

Enjoy your weekend!

Friday, January 23, 2009

This card idea came from the new SU catalog. Old olive, kraft and a touch of baja. Swirl stamp is from Inkadinkado.

Today is a cooking day - a birthday dinner tonight. So I'm off to make noodles, chocolate cake and graham cracker icecream.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, January 22, 2009

A pretty basic card today. Stamp is from Inkadinkado. Colors are Basic Grey and River Rock. Pattern paper is SU.

Today I have to get a couple of birthday presents done, go to the grocery store and clean up the mess I made in my stamp room yesterday. I didn't get much accomplished for the amount of mess I made - just couldn't get much of anything to come out right - don't you hate it when that happens?

Have a great day!

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

A guy card today. Deb got a card like this in a swap and I just really liked it, so I had to copy it. Colors are Pacific Point, Turquoise and black. Rather striking color combination. Stamp is from SU.

Have a lot of stuff I need to get done this week but not sure what to do first. So...... I may just spend the day getting some stamping done.

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

A Valentine card - this could also be used as an anniversary card. Background is SU word love - hearts are from SU's new Love You Much set. Colors are chocolate, red, and pink.

Tonight is Shoebox Club and I still need to get a project done. Guess I better get to work on that!

Happy stampin'

Monday, January 19, 2009

I'm back! Brrr! It's cold! Oh my, it was so nice to spend several days wearing t-shirts and flip flops! (the picture is sunset at Huntington Beach)

The wedding was wonderful - the weather was perfect - we managed to do a couple of sight seeing things we had never done before and......... we got to meet Tracy's boyfriend Tony (very nice guy!)

My cousin Marleen has some of the nicest friends that I've had the pleasure to meet on several occasions and it was great to see them again! Spending time with my cousins in California is always great fun and this trip was no different! So, it was a wonderful weekend all the way around!

Now, back to real life.

Sunday, January 18, 2009

One more card from Stamp Club. Roni used one of my favorite color combos on this one. Chocolate and red - and she added some pink. This is a 5 1/4 " square card. I keep saying I'm going to do some square cards and then I end up with same ol' size. Hopefully this will remind me to think outside the box a little more often!

We should be on our way home today. The drive home is never my favorite part - and the thought of leaving warm weather to come back to the cold is really not doing much for me! Oh well, guess that's the way it is when you live in Colorado.

Happy stampin'

Saturday, January 17, 2009

This is another card from Stamp Club with Roni. I really liked this card, even though this Pacific Point blue has really not been one of my favorite colors. But Roni did a great job with this color combination and layout! (the green is Kiwi)

Let's see - today is Saturday (I hope that's the day this is posting) The plan is to do something laid back - we've talked about hanging out in downtown Huntington Beach. Dinner at my cousin Marleen's tonight. Hopefully I will have some great beach pictures after today!

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Friday, January 16, 2009

Tonight is the wedding (my cousin Marleen's son, Geoffrey, is the one getting married). This is the wedding card I made to enclose with the gift. (sorry the picture isn't the best). White on white - are you surprised?

Have no idea what we're doing during the day today. It will be Jeff & Sarah and I for most of the day - Tracy and Tony will be arriving later this afternoon.

Enjoy your day!

Thursday, January 15, 2009

This is one of the cards that Roni did at our Stamp Club last week. Pocket Silhouettes has been one of my favorite stamp sets and I love this color combination and layout she used - kraft, eggplant and celery.
On my way to sunny (I hope!) California today. We're hoping to be there in time for the Rehearsal Dinner, but that is going to be a "maybe". I'm just hoping for clear roads all the way!
Happy stampin'

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

This is a card I did a while back. (I really have to get some new cards done - I'm running low, but haven't had time to stamp for fun!) I really liked these colors together - River rock, chocolate and Blue bayou. Stamps are from SU. I used SU's Sanded background on the river rock.

We leave tomorrow for California - yea! Got an e-mail from my cousin saying it was 85 degrees there yesterday! Oh man, I can hardly wait! Warm weather - I can hardly remember what it feels like. Gotta dig those flip flops out!

Today - take the car in for some repair work. Do laundry. Pack! And I have class tonight. A full day. And just so you don't miss me too much I will get some drafts done that should post while I am gone (if I do it right!)

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

An easy Valentine card - good for a guy. I used an old SU set for this one called Dream Come True. Colors are chocolate and vanilla.

Class this morning and again tonight. Laundry in between. I need to get with it this morning and go get the class area cleaned up - it's a bit of a mess and needs to be picked up before class.

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, January 12, 2009

A rather spring looking card - but, I'm ready for spring! SU stamp and paper - Garden Tea (which is being discontinued)
Errands today. Have a whole list of stuff to get before we leave on Thursday. Then I have a bunch of stuff to put away ( or throw away) after our furniture arranging yesterday. But we got most of the stuff out of the garage so I can get my car back in. Yea!
Enjoy your day!

Sunday, January 11, 2009

An easy birthday card today. Riding hood red and chocolate chip (one of my favorite color combinations these days) Stamps are from SU.

Today....... um. Have to get 192 class kits bagged and then........ I have a garage full of furniture that my sister shipped to me and it arrived yesterday (long, very long, story) Dealing with that was not on my list of things to do this week, but Jeff is coming out this afternoon and we're swapping bedroom furniture - he's taking mine and I'm putting my grandmother's bedroom set in my room. That means washing bedding, cleaning out my dresser, etc. And I only have 4 days to get everything else done before we leave for California on Thursday. Yikes! Guess I won't have time to be bored.

Happy stampin'

Saturday, January 10, 2009

This is another card done with a new set I got from Papertry Ink. Colors are chocolate, pink pirouette and pretty in pink.

Oh my gosh, am I late this morning? I just got up - I can't remember the last time I slept until 8:00 - those girls wore me out last night I guess! Emily, Sherry and Deb were here, stamping and scrapping. I actually worked on a class project and almost have it finished. Today I need to finish up cards for class next week and then maybe I can even finish the project I started last night!

Enjoy your weekend!

Friday, January 9, 2009

Valentine's Day is coming and I got a few cards done last week so thought I'd better post a few here and there. This card is done with SU's new set. The love word background is also SU. Colors are chocolate, riding hood red and pink pirouette.

More snow? What's up with that? I'm glad I'm staying in today. My plan today is to get cards done for card classes that start on Tuesday. If I'm really good and get those done during the day I'm going to scrapbook tonight! It's been too long and the pictures are piling up from the holidays.

Have a wonderful day.

Thursday, January 8, 2009

Another new stamp - this one is from Inkadinkado. Colors are chocolate and olive.

Have to take my car in for a service today and have Stamp Club with Roni tonight. Yea! I'm looking forward to a fun evening.

Happy stampin'

Wednesday, January 7, 2009

Another card using rub-ons. I did use a stamp for the Happy Birthday. Pretty simple - I think I'll have to do more of these.

Well, since I didn't go do my errands yesterday I guess I will have to get them done today. And I suppose it's time to do laundry too. What fun!

Have a great day!

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

A new stamp - a different card size. I found some envelopes at the office supply place that were a different size than what I generally use - they are 3 5/8 by 6 1/2. Decided it would be fun to make some cards that size. The card is 6 1/4 x 3 3/8. The stamp is from Autumn Leaves - it is fairly large and I really had quite a time figuring out what to do with it. I wasn't really overjoyed with this, but it's ok. I'm looking foward to working with it on some different layouts. As my friend Molly would say - it has lots of possibilities!

Guess I will have to brave the cold today and do a few errands this morning. Or not! (I may talk myself right out of that one)

Happy stampin'

Monday, January 5, 2009

No stamping - this card is done with rub-ons. I had these rub-ons that Emily gave me and had never used them, saw a card online that inspired me to get them out and here is what I ended up with. The card is chocolate chip and vanilla, the rub-ons (from SU) are chocolate. The pearl embellishments are from Kaiser.

Brrrr - is it ever cold out this morning. My temperature thing says it's 1. Yuk! Too cold for me. I'm ready for spring!

Class prep today, class tonight. Guess it's time to get back in the groove of real life again.

Enjoy your day!

Sunday, January 4, 2009

A "guy card" today. The set is from Stampin Up - colors are kraft, not quite navy and chocolate chip.

Judy S came over yesterday to play - she got me motivated and I managed to get several cards done. Today it's time to get class projects done since I have scrapbook class tomorrow night.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Saturday, January 3, 2009

More snow today, so.......more snowmen. I sent this one for a January birthday just the other day.

Sherry and Emily came to play last night - I wasn't very productive, though - only managed to get 2 cards done. Today I need to get started on scrapbook pages for class on Monday night.

Stay warm and enjoy your day.

Friday, January 2, 2009

Another new stamp - this is another one from Papertrey. You can't see it in the picture but there is some stickles glitter in the center of the flowers. Colors are blush blossom and mellow moss.

I hope everyone had a great beginning to 2009. My day was wonderful - food, family, friends, and a great deal of fun! Yea! Couldn't ask for much more (well, I could ask for warmer weather - isn't it time for spring now?)

Have a wonderful day.

Wishing you a year
filled with
love and laughter
Happy New Year!
