The card - a little bit of 'fall' today. Printed paper is Tim Holtz - leaves are die cuts (sizzix) - sentiment is from Papertrey.
Fall is definitely in the air - it is downright chilly out this morning. I saw on the news last night that there were freeze warnings out for parts of the state. Ugh - not quite ready for that yet! As soon as it warms up a bit I am going to Jeff's to trim his bushes, then a couple of errands. Class tonight.
Have a great day!
The card - flower image is from SU, sentiment is from Papertrey. I inked the stamp with espresso and peach markers.
Happy Labor Day! I hope you are enjoying your 'long weekend' if you are lucky enough to have today off. It has been a 'labor' weekend for me but I've managed to get a lot of stuff done - that is always a good feeling. I have some cleaning up to do downstairs today and then I should be ready for my busy week - I have somthing going on every night this week, starting with scrap class tonight.
Have a fantastic day!
Scrappin' Sunday - although this was not the color combo I had planned on using on this layout, I found these stickers in my stash and just had to use them because the words were perfect. (laugh, friends, priceless, smile, etc)
I got all the card class stuff done yesterday - yea! Now I need to get the scrap class kits cut and bagged today. Such an exciting weekend!
Happy scrappin'
Photo Saturday - the sunflowers were going to be the orginal focus of this picture, but then the old barn sort of popped out at me so I had to include it in the picture.
The last two days have gone by without much getting accomplished. Not sure what happened, but I've had a hard time staying focused. Today my plan is to get all my class projects cut and bagged - nothing too exciting, but stuff that needs to be done. So, here's hoping I can stay on track, get that stuff out of the way and have a little time for something more fun!
Enjoy your day!
The card - flower image is an old stamp I found in my drawer - I think it was from Print Works. Background stamp is SU - embossing folders are also SU. Colors are marina mist and pear pizzazz.
Had a great time at Sherry's last night - she did some marvelous cards (as always!) Have to get some stuff finished and my room cleaned up a bit today. Looking forward to our regular Friday night stamping tonight.
Happy stampin'
The card - floral image is Penny Black, butterfly & background stamp are SU. sentiment is AMuse. Colors are kraft, black & vanilla.
Time to make a decision as to what I'm going to do today. Yard work? Laundry? Stamp? Class Projects? All of the above? Don't have a clue - I'll figure it out after a little more caffeine I guess. Looking forward to stamp club with Sherry tonight though.
Happy stampin'
The card - flower stamp is from Stampendous - sentiment is Amuse. Colors are not quite navy, pear and peach.
Today looks like a repeat of yesterday - yard work this morning and then some errands. (no fun lunch today, though!) I didn't get all my errands done yesterday so hopefully I can get the rest done today.
Enjoy your day!
The card - stamped images are from Unity. Colors are kraft, black & vanilla. I used a couple strips of Tim Holtz tissue tape above the printed paper.
Time to get class projects done for next month. I cannot believe it's almost September - this summer seems to have gone by even faster than most! Now I have to think fall and Halloween.
Have a great day!
Scrappin' Sunday - this is a page I put together yesterday with pictures from Country Jam. I really wished I had a black cowboy hat die cut to put on there, but maybe I can add one later!
Yesterday was great fun - the whole gang was here! I laughed so much my stomach hurt! Great food - Kelli's chicken spaghetti was very yummy! And I got some pages done - yea! It was a good day. Haven't quite figured out what I'm doing today.
Have a great day!
The card - floral image is from Stampendous, sentiment is from CTMH. Colors are kraft, black & vanilla.
Deb & her family are coming for dinner tonight - we're celebrating her husband Pat's birthday. Pat is one of those special guys in my life - he mows & trims my gigantic yard each and every week! So, yes, he gets chicken & noodles for his birthday dinner. Plus chocolate cake and ice cream. The noodles are made, the chicken is cooked so all I have to do today is bake the cake and make the icecream. Happy Birthday Pat!
Have a wonderful day.
The card - this is an old Penny Black stamp that Judy S brought over for me to play with - I love it! It was a bit time consuming adding a bit of color here and there, but well worth the effort! Colors are concord and mustard.
Errands today, including the grocery store. Company for dinner tomorrow night so I think I'll get some of the preparation done today!
Happy stampin'
The card - stamped images are from SU (Just Believe) Colors are vanilla, espresso & kraft.
Not sure what I'm doing today - I had planned on finishing up the yard work but it's still so wet from the rain yesterday that I may have to wait on that. (what a shame!) So, maybe I'll try to work on some class projects.
Enjoy your day!
Scrappin' Sunday - a digital page. This was a template that I downloaded for SU's digital software (MDS). All I had to do was drag and drop the picture. How easy is that! (I wish I had changed the colored strip to blue though - think it would have looked better with the picture.
More yard work today.
"If you water it and it dies, then it's a plant. If you pull it up and it still comes back it's a weed!"
Enjoy your day!
Photo Saturday - 'the girls'. At our bbq on Tuesday we decided we needed a group shot, so we set up the tripod and got a little silly. I've been friends with these wonderful ladies for over 20 years and I treasure our times together.
Well, I've put it off long enough. I've run out of excuses so I guess it's time........yep, today is yard work day. Oh joy!
Have a wonderful day!
The card - stamp is from SU (Echoes of Kindness). Colors are kraft and daffodil. Background flowers are stamped with versamark. A really easy one!
Have some paper work I need to get done this morning and then a few errands. I have a really big mess on my table from making just a few cards so I guess I better try to get that cleaned up too!
Have a great day!
The card - stamped images are from SU (Just Believe). Colors are not quite navy, garden green and pumpkin pie.
Well, I really had planned on doing yard work today - but.......it's raining. Oh darn! So I guess it's on to plan B - which I haven't figured out yet. I could always go shopping again - yuk! I did find a couple of skirts I really liked, now the problem is finding something to go with them. That's a job for another day though - I need a break between shopping trips. I guess I'll get things ready for class tonight and then see what I'm inspired to do.
Happy stampin'
The card - flower stamp is from Unity, sentiment is SU. Colors are not quite navy, pear pizzazz and peach parfait.
A haircut this morning and then I guess it's time to start looking for something to wear to the wedding (Tracy says I cannot wear jeans & a sweatshirt - dang!) Shopping for dress clothes ranks right up there with doing yard work - in fact I think I'd rather do yard work! But, I will go and give it a try today. Wish me luck!
Enjoy your day!
The card - stamped image is from SU (Just Believe) Colors are marina mist, pear pizzazz and white. Sentiment is from Papertrey.
The wedding invitations are in the mail - woo hoo! Glad to get that project finished.
I'm having friends over for a BBQ tonight so need to get myself organized for that. It will be a fun evening.
Have a great day!
The card - another 'old' columbine stamp I found in my drawer. Decided to use it with the Tim Holtz brick embossing folder.
A trip to the post office this morning and then I can finish up the wedding invites and get them in the mail. Yay! It will be good to have that done. Then I need to get things set up for class tonight.
Happy stampin'
Project Sunday - this is one of the birthday gifts I did this last week. Stamps are from SU (Just Believe & Inspired by Nature). Colors are olive, daffodil and black.
All the parts and pieces of the invites are printed, cut and ready to assemble. But.....I can't go any further 'til I have the postage stamps. Why didn't I remember to get those on Friday? Duh! So I will have to finish putting things together tomorrow after a trip to the post office. Guess I will use the time today to get some household chores (like laundry) done. Maybe I can multi-task and do some stamping too!
Have a wonderful day!
Photo Satuday - the colors in this sunset a couple weeks ago were just amazing.
Wedding invitations.........does it tell you anything that I'm almost wishing I could take a break from them and do some yard work? (you notice I did say almost) Just a couple more days though and I should be done! So....back to work.
Enjoy your day!
The card - image (Growing Green) and patterned paper (Woodland Walk) are SU. Colors are wasabi, chocolate and vanilla.

I need to finish up my project for our Shoebox Club, then get to work on wedding invitations. My goal is to have these invitations finished and in the mail by Monday. So......... guess what I will be doing for the next few days.
Happy stampin'
The card - floral stamps & sentiment are from SU, background stamp is from Limited Edition. Colors are daffodil, black & white.
I thought at first I would try to get some yard work done today - however I have two birthday gifts to get done this week, a project for our Shoebox Club and the wedding invitations to finish. So.......once again I'm putting off the yard work and working on the things that have to be done in a timely fashion. (the weeds will just get a bit taller and be easier to pull I guess!)
Have a great day!
The card - found this very old columbine stamp (Stampa Rosa) the other day and since it had never been used (oh shame!) I decided it needed to see some ink! Stamped with black, colored with amethyst.
Class this morning and then again tonight. Hopefully some time to do a little more work on the wedding invites in between.
Have a wonderful day!
The card - stamped images are from SU - sentiment is from Papertrey. Colors are marina mist and not quite navy.
I had quite the productive day yesterday - actually managed to get a bit of yard work done in the morning and then had a lovely afternoon stamping with Judy. I really had planned on doing some more yard work this morning, but once again the rain has made for a change of plans. I have some errands I need to do so that will take some time this morning. Then it's back to work on Tracy's wedding invites. (those little suckers are taking a bit longer to put together than I had thought!)
Happy stampin'
Scrappin Sunday - I don't often use bright colors but it's fun when I have pictures that work with fun patterns and bright colors. This layout was done using a Becky Higgins sketch.
Well I had planned on doing some yard work this morning - now it's just a bit wet from the rain. Oh darn! Guess I will just have to skip ahead to stamping with Judy this afternoon. That will be much more fun anyway!
Happy scrappin'
Photo Saturday - a shot of Mt Garfield. Took this photo last weekend when I decided I really needed some fresh Palisade peaches - oh yum! - can't beat them! Drove to Palisade along the back roads and stopped several times to take some photos.
Oh my, have so much to do this weekend I don't know where to start. Class projects, Tracy's wedding invites, yard work - and that's just the most important stuff. Guess I better pick one and get to work!
Enjoy your weekend!
The card - super easy one today. Printed paper is from Basic Grey - flower is a Tim Holtz die. Sentiment is from Papertrey.
Working on Tracy's wedding invitations today. She has a few revisions so I will work on getting those done so I can start assembling. Need to get them in the mail soon.
Have a wonderful day!
The card - sentiment is from Papertrey, flowers are from Unity. Colors are daffodil and white.
Let's see, I have two choices of things to do today - yard work and class projects. Yep, I think I'm going with the class projects. Have to get those done before next week and the yard work will still be there. (isn't it always?)
Have a great day!
The card - image is from SU - background is embossing folder from Quickutz. Colors are kraft and white.
Need to get some cleaning up and re-organizing done downstairs today. Somehow I've ended up with several piles of things that need to be sorted and put away - now how did that happen? Class tonight.
Happy stampin'
The card - something a little different. Stamp is from Unity. I stamped and embossed the white images first, then sponged the background with artichoke, pear, and daffodil. Then I stamped the dark images with artichoke. Card is kraft, mats are suede and white.
Back to work on class projects. Got some done yesterday but then got stuck and lost my creativity. Dang. So, back to the drawing board. Looking forward to Friday night stamping with Deb and Emily tonight. Even if I'm not real productive I will get to hear all about the SU convention they just attended!
Have a great day!
The card - background stamp is from Unity, flower is from SU, sentiment is Inkadinkado. Flower is cut out and popped up. Just simple black and white.
Working on class projects today. I had planned on getting some more yard work done, but with the rain, plus the fact that I watered yesterday I think I would be playing in the mud. So, guess the yard work will be postponed for another day - what a shame!
Happy stampin'!
The card - stamped image is from Stampendous. I stamped the image in black, colored it with markers and then used the embossing folder (SU). Colors are black, kraft and white. (image is colored with daffodil, pretty in pink, peach & olive)
Yard work today - that is if it doesn't start raining - looks a little cloudy and dreary out right now, but it will be nice for yard work as long as it doesn't rain. (although that wouldn't hurt my feelings any!)
Have a wonderful day!
The card - floral stamp is from Unity - sentiment is SU. Embossed background is Tim Holtz embossing folder. Colors are kraft and vanilla. Thought this would make a nice wedding card.
I had planned on doing some more yard work this morning, but since it rained it might be a bit muddy. Guess I'll have to check it out - gosh it would be a shame if I had to postpone the yard work (ha! ha!). I need to start working on class projects for next week so I do have a alternate plan. Class tonight.
Have a wonderful day!
The card - flower stamp is from Stampendous - colored with daffodil, marina mist and pear. This is one of the stamps that just jumped into my basket during our shopping spree at Archiver's in Denver. It's so funky and different - just had to have it!
Yard work today - I've put it off way too long, now the weeds and grass are almost as tall as the rose bushes. Oops! So, I'm off to get started while the temp is below 100.
Happy stampin'
Scrappin' Sunday - another 'oldie'. These are pictures of Tracy that appeared in the newspaper at a watermelon eating contest downtown - she was 6 in these pictures! I actually entered this page in a contest at PaperKuts magazine (no longer in print) and won a Crop in Style Bag. That was rather fun!
Need to get some chores done this morning and then maybe some stamping time this afternoon.
Happy Scrappin'
Photo Saturday - this is really not the greatest picture, but I was at a stop sign with a car behind me and I just stuck my camera out the window and took a quick shot. This was the most awesome rainbow - it was very close and went all the way across (we were too close to get the whole thing)
Oh gosh, what a great two day get-away! Such fun! We spent two days eating and shopping and eating and shopping and more eating and shopping! (and lots of laughing too!) And getting to spend a few hours with Tracy on Thursday was wonderful! Don't have much to show for all the eating (except pictures of the places we ate & a few extra pounds), but I do have quite a nice stash of new stamps and a few other goodies. So I think I'm going to spend the weekend playing with some of my new stuff.
Have a great day!
The card - more quick and easy. Floral image is from Unity - embossed in white. Butterfly is Martha Stewart punch. Colors are white and Marina Mist.
Shopping in Denver today. It's so sad that all of the local scrapbook and stamp stores have closed - there used to be so many and now there are none. Oh well, I guess we'll have to make do with Archiver's. We'll be heading home this afternoon.
Enjoy your day!
The card - quick & easy. Love this new paper from Basic Grey - it's called Basics. Thought it was perfect for this card. Image stamp is from SU - just a note is from Endless Creations. Card is kraft, mat is black.
Judy S and I off on an adventure today. We're taking a road trip to Fort Collins/Denver. I'm excited - it's been over 2 years since I've been to Fort Collins and Denver. We'll be making a stop at a great scrapbook store in Fort Collins - The Treasure Box. It's good timing all the way around since Tracy is there and will have the afternoon free before heading back to Ohio. So, scrapbook store shopping and spending some time with Tracy - life is very good!
Have a wonderful day!
The card - stamped images are SU (Watercolor Trio) Colors are Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait. Embossed strip is a Tim Holtz embossing folder.
Wishing all my SU demo friends a safe trip to the SU Convention. Have fun! and I will anxiously await your return so I can see all the fun new stuff!
Have a great day!
