A little excitement around here yesterday.  Discovered that someone had come into my garage (we think it was through the window), took my purse out of my car and a few odds and ends of stuff.  Weird.  The biggest hassle was calling the bank and credit card companies and having everything cancelled and new ones issued.  It could have been worse, (they didn't come in the house)  and the window is now reinforced, the locks have all been changed (there were house keys in my purse) and the credit card companies have all been called.  I only have to go get a new driver's license.  Whew!  It's been quite the week.  I have Hudson again today, the babysitter is still sick.  Have to at least get the table cleaned off because we have Shoebox Club tonight.  All is good!

The card - super simple....stamped images are from SU.   I used a punch for the 'postage' piece and then matted it with black and popped it up on the background.  Super easy!

I hope you all are having a great holiday weekend.  I can hardly believe that it's already Labor Day....wow!  One last bbq tonight so not only do I get 'Grandma time' today, but I need to get my house together and food prepared!  Today's goal is to multi task!!!!

It's Jeff & Sara's anniversary today so I get some overnight 'Grandma time' this weekend.  It will be nice for them to get away for a night.... I haven't had to get up in the night with a baby for 40 years, so it will be interesting to say the least.  But it's ok, I can sleep tomorrow after they pick him up!

Project Sunday - a while back I discovered this 'scrubby' yarn so I've been making 'scrubby dishcloths'.  They are fast and easy and I work on them when I don't want to have to think about counting stitches or what not!

Nothing like getting woke up at 3:30 am from a break in the sprinkler system....gallons of water gushing all over and I didn't have a clue what to do.  All I could manage was to shut off the sprinklers which didn't help!  Yikes!  Had to wake Jeff up and he had to come and shut the darn thing off.  Hmmm.... I guess I should have known how to do that but nobody showed me!  Just a little excitement during the night - glad it's a quiet day and I should be able to work in a nap at some point :)

Well......I had about the worst 'blonde senior moment' yesterday.  We changed the date of our Shoebox Club and I forgot to write it on my calendar - oops!  The worst part was, we were celebrating birthdays and I was cooking dinner - oops!  I was oblivious until one of the ladies called mid-afternoon to ask if I needed anything - oh my!  I actually managed to go to the grocery store, pick up the house, cook dinner, get gifts together and have dinner on the table on time - wow!  It was just pure luck that Celisa called because they would have all shown up to no dinner and I very well could have been lounging around in my pj's!  Good grief!

Today is 'Grandma time' so I am going to just enjoy my day and look forward to Friday night crafting!
