The card - the flower (SU) is stamped (2 lg and 1 sm), punched out and layered. I popped up each layer. Background is patterned paper. Small white rectangle is die cut and matted. Pretty darn easy!
Well, I guess I will have plenty of time to craft. All my activities have been cancelled.....no dancing, no eating out, no stitching at Laura's. Lots to do at home, but I sure am going to miss my groups! Hopefully this whole craziness won't last long!!!!!
Keep on keepin' on!

Good morning! Thought I would try to post some 'other' crafty things on the weekends. This is some of my first attempts at Swedish Weaving. It is so easy and so fun! I've done quite a lot of towels, now I need to figure out what else I can do with it! I've seen some beautiful afghans, but I think that is a little more than I want to attempt.
Another dreary, cloudy day. I didn't get a lot of stamping done yesterday, so I think I'll try to do some more today.
Have a great day!

The card - stamped images and die cuts are from SU. Flowers are stamped with back, stamped with red to color and then die cut. Leaves are stamped with black on green and then die cut. Circle is a die cut - this one is a new favorite - love it! The flowers are popped up and I added some bling to the center.
An extra 'Grandma day' today. It's Hudson's birthday today - he turned 4. Wow, the time has gone so fast! We've been to the dinosaur Museum, now it's time for lunch and then hopefully it will be warm enough to go to the park. Family dinner, presents, cake and icecream tonight!
Have a terrific day!

The card - background is sponged using a stencil. Image (Unity) is stamped in black over sponged area. An added sentiment and some ribbon.
It needs to be a cooking and cleaning day since I need to get ready for Hudson's birthday tomorrow. But, it is raining and dreary - more of a curl up with a book and take a nap kind of day! Hmmm....maybe I can do both! It's worth a try!
Have a wonderful day!

The card - stamped images are from SU. The flower is stamped 3 times (2 lg, 1 sm), punched out and layered. Each layer is popped up. The bee is stamped in black, colored and die cut. The background is white with strips of patterned paper down each side.
Well, thanks ladies for all the encouraging words. I'm glad to be back. Want to update things a bit as soon as I find some time, but it's all good for now!
To catch you up a bit, I do have some exciting news! Another baby is on the way! I will have a new grandbaby around October 5. It was a huge surprise so now we're all going to be scrambling to replace all the baby stuff we got rid of! LOL!
Hudson turns 4 on Thursday, so I'm spending this week getting ready for his birthday dinner. Can't believe it's been 4 years! Time really does fly when you're having fun!!!!
So, I'm off to do errands this morning. Looking forward to some stitching time with friends tonight.
Happy stampin'

The card - stamped images are from SU. Cardstock and printed paper, and circle die cut are also from SU.
I"M BACK! Found I've missed doing the blog, so going to try and keep it going! Missed having someone to show my creations to! It may be a little hit and miss for awhile - trying to figure out the best way to copy the cards to get them on here.
So, here I am!

One last card......this is a new set from SU that my friend Emily gave me for Christmas. I love it! It's going to get lots of use!!!!
Sorry I've been MIA the last few weeks. Ran out of cards, didn't have time to stamp and life just got in the way! I had Hudson every day for 2 weeks - which was a complete joy, but limited my time to get other things done.
So..... after the fact, I've decided to give up doing the blog - at least for now. I've been thinking about switching to Facebook to post cards - would love to be able to have a little more ability to communicate with each other a little bit more! My computer is getting so old and slow too! Many reasons (or maybe just excuses!). But, for now, I've decided to take a break from the Blog thing. It will still be available, but I will no longer be posting. It's been fun - and I've loved your comments and support during the difficult times. But for now.......

The card - Background is embossed. I sponged the folder before I embossed. I stamped the trees on a smaller piece of white and added it to the back of the window die cut. I added a couple sprigs of greenery die cuts and some ribbon to the bottom of the window.
A Dr's appointment this morning (just a med check) and then I really need to get myself organized and figure out what all needs to be done in the next couple of weeks! Looking forward to an evening of stitching with a friend.
Have a wonderful day!

The card - background is embossed. Smaller square is die cut from patterned paper (SU) and then matted on card stock. Sentiment was added at the bottom. Easy!
'Grandma time" today. Going to see Santa!
Loved the Swedish Weaving class! I'm addicted! Have finished my towel from class, plus another one and have started one more. Can hardly wait to get some pattern books and more pretty thread.
Have a wonderful day!

The card - some more of that pretty paper from SU. I stamped the sentiment across the top and matted the piece with a darker blue. The background piece is actually embossed with a very subtle texture which didn't show up in the scan :( Super easy for a quick, but pretty card.
Looking foward to learning a brand new craft today - Swedish weaving! Taking a class this morning at Laura's - hopefully I can do it!
Stitching with friends tonight. A full day of fun!
Have a great day!

The card - so sorry for the bad scan. :( This is actually a really pretty card. The background is embossed with a brick folder that has been inked before embossing. (tan, not yellow) The tree is stamped on a small piece and added to the front of the card while the window frmae is popped up over the tree. The sentiment strip at the bottom is also popped up. Try it - it's really a pretty card!:)
Errands this morning and then I need to straighten up a bit from last night's card class event. Looking forward to an afternoon of stitching at Laura's and then Line Dancing tonight.
Have a great day!
