Photo Sunday - this is what my patio looked like on Friday morning.  By later in the afternoon the sun was shining and it looked like spring again.  Crazy Colorado weather!

No big plans for today.  Church later this morning and then maybe this afternoon I'll get some more stamping done before I clean up my mess from yesterday :)  Or maybe I'll watch a movie and work on a basket!  Lots of options.

A couple days ago (the 16th) it was my blog anniversary!  18 years I've been doing this blog - wow!

Have a terrific day!

Saturday Quote......

A quiet day.  Life may be back to normal - at least for a little while :)  Time to work on Mother's Day cards and Graduation cards so I'm planning on spending some time in the stamp room today.

Have a great day!

Friday, April 10, 2026

Ethan is off to preschool, Hudson is getting ready for breakfast.  We haven't quite figured out our plan for the day yet, but we'll get to it eventually.   Hudson and I will pick Jeff up at the airport this afternoon - the boys are anxious to see him :).

Monday, April 6, 2026

The card - super simple one today.  This is a piece of patterned paper that I stamped the sentiment on and then die cut the rectangle, matted it and popped it up in the opening.  Add some twine and some bling.  Easy peasy!

It's going to be a crazy week!  Took Jeff to the airport at 5:30 this morning - he's off on a golf trip.  (he got tickets to the Masters!).  I will be on taxi duty most of this week getting the boys back and forth to school.  So, today it's taking Hudson to school and then Ethan and I will have our regular 'Grandma day'.   So far our only plan is to take down the Easter decorations and do something about spring decor and then decide what to make for dessert for dinner tonight!   It's going to be a fun week!

Have a wonderful day!

The card - background is embossed with a die cut piece added.  The butterflies are die cut/  The sentiment was stamped on the background before embossing.   Super easy!

Aw, a fairly free day.  Haven't quite decided yet what the plan is.  I need to get the winter clothes put away and get out the warm weather clothes.   Can't believe we're having 80 degree weather in March, definitely not normal for Colorado!  But the stamp room is calling, so we'll see what I end up doing!  Maybe I can find the motivation to do both :)

Have a wonderful day!

The card-  image is stamped on the background panel and then I sponged a bit of color in the corner.  The sentiment is stamped at the bottom and I added some bling, twine and die cut stem.

I really need to catch up on some house chores this morning - seems I've not kept up with that much in the last few weeks :)  Definitely had more important things going on!  But, I'm determined to get back to my schedule today so.....    Chores this morning and then I can relax and enjoy the afternoon with the Needle Keepers.    Class got postponed last week too, so will have class tonight!  A busy catch up day!

The card - background is patterned paper.  Butterfly is die cut.  Add a stamped, die cut sentiment.  Super easy!

Aw, spring break 'Grandma days' are over!  It was a great week!  We did get the yard cleaned up yesterday and Hudson worked really hard!  Today I am planning on spending most of the day in the stamp room, but taking a break to have lunch with a friend.  Yep, it will be good to have some adult conversation :)

Have a terrific day!

Thursday, March 19, 2026

The card - background is patterned paper with a die cut border.   Sentiment is stamped directly on the background piece.   Leaves are die cut.  Add some ribbon and some bling.

One more 'Grandma day' with Hudson.   We have been checking on an Eagle's nest every day and yesterday we actually saw one of the eagles.  It was very cool!  We never got around to the yard work yesterday so that might happen today!   We'll see - we kind of end up doing things on the spur of the moment so you never know what will be happening :)

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, March 18, 2026

The card - background is patterned paper.  Arch shape is die cut and embossed.  Leaves and flowers are stamped and then die cut.  Added sentiment is stamped, die cut and popped up.

Another 'Grandma day'.  Hudson loves to help decorate so today we're going to take down the St Patrick's day stuff and change to Easter.  It's supposed to be close to 80 degrees today so we may even do some yard work!  (unbelievable temps for March in Colorado).

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, March 17, 2026

The card - background is embossed.  Smaller panel is stamped with a background stamp.  The shamrocks are die cut from glitter paper.  Add a stamped sentiment and some bling.

'Grandma day' with Hudson today.  We've got an eye on an eagles nest out by the river so we go out periodically to check and see if we can spot the eagles.  So far, no luck, but we'll drive out this morning to check!  Then I will enjoy some time with the Needle Keepers this afternoon and after that card class.  A busy day!

Have a wonderful day!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Monday, March 16, 2026

The card - background is embossed with a strip of patterned paper at the bottom.  The scalloped piece at the bottom is die cut and added under the patterned paper.  The flower and leaves are stamped, die cut and then popped up.

Photo Sunday - Happy 10th birthday Hudson!

Church this morning and then back home to finish up the class stuff for this coming week.  The cards are done (thank goodness) but I still need to cut and package the card kits.  I should even have time for a nap!

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday, March 14, 2026

Saturday Quote.......LOL - yep, this past week and a half it was hard for me to tell what day it was!  :)

Today is a free day!  Well, sort of!  Class is next week and I have no idea yet what we're doing.  I sort of lost track of time and didn't realize it was coming up so soon.  But, I have all day so I should be able to figure it out - right?  That's my goal anyway!

Have a wonderful day!

Friday, March 13, 2026

The card - a couple strips of patterned paper and a strip of embossed card stock.  Add a stamped sentiment piece, some ribbon and a little bling.  Super easy!

'Grandma day' with both boys today.   Hudson seems to be all recovered and is mostly back to normal.  We had a nice birthday day yesterday and he's looking forward to a birthday celebration with his friends on Sunday.  Today we plan on enjoying the super spring-like weather we're having!  I've heard there is an eagle's nest down by the river and we're going to go check it out!

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, March 12, 2026

The card - background is stamped and then embossed.   The added gears are die cut and popped up.  Add a die cut stamped sentiment piece and some bling.

And today is Hudson's birthday.  He starts his 'double digits' era!  Because it's the beginning of Spring break we get to spend the day doing fun stuff.  (mostly - we still have to get the birthday dinner ready for the family tonight!)  Looking forward to a fun day!  (He was feeling much better yesterday so we're hoping that continues!)

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday, March 11, 2026

The card - a simple St Patrick's card.  Background is embossed.  Shamrock is die cut from patterned paper.  The sentiment was stamped before embossing.  Add some pretty gold ribbon and a bit of bling.

More 'Grandma time' with Hudson.  He's recuperating, but still running a fever off and on.  The Dr says he is fine.  We are going to be doing some prep work today getting ready for his birthday dinner tomorrow!  (sure hoping he starts feeling better!)

Poor Hudson just can't seem to get over a fever that comes and goes - his Dad is going to try and get him to see the Dr again!  In the mean time he's here again!  I have a few chores to get done this morning and then I'm going to enjoy some time with the Needle Keepers this afternoon.  (Hudson mostly lays on the couch watching tv and sleeping!)

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, March 9, 2026

The card - background is patterned paper.  The piece down the center is embossed.  The flowers are stamped, sponged, die cut and popped up.  The leaves are die cut  Add some ribbon and some bling.

'Grandma day'.  Both boys will be here - Hudson is still running a fever so no school again for him!  He may have to go back to the Dr - I think the antibiotic should have been working by now.

Have a terrific day!

Sunday, March 8, 2026

Project Sunday - finished a couple more baskets!

Off to church this morning and then?   No clue.  Haven't made a plan yet.  A nap?  Read a book?  Start a new basket?  Maybe all of the above!

Have a great day!

Saturday, March 7, 2026

Saturday Quote.....lol - I do know how to use the credit card tap thingie, but......

Have a terrific day!

Thursday, March 5, 2026

The card - image is stamped on the background and then I sponged a bit of color in the corner.  Add a stamped sentiment, some white twine and some bling.

Normally I'd be getting ready to go to my volunteer job, but seems Hudson still has a temp so will be coming here instead of school.  Poor guy - he's had quite a week!  I traded days with another of the volunteers so I will stay home with Hudson today and work tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day!

The card - background is embossed.  Smaller panel is patterned paper.  Circle image behind the flowers is die cut.  Flowers and leaves are stamped, heat embossed with white, die cut and then popped up.  Sentiment piece is stamped and then die cut.  Add some bling to the flower center.

The plan is to spend today in the stamp room.  Or most of it at least.  Have a PT appointment at 2:30 so will have to take  break for that.  I might try to join the ladies at Craft Addict for some crafting time tonight - we'll see how ambitious I feel by then :)   A side note:  Hudson ended up with Strep - poor guy - no wonder he felt so bad!  Sara has the day off today so he can stay home with her and if his fever is gone he'll be able to go back to school tomorrow.  Keeping our fingers crossed that Ethan doesn't get it!

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, March 3, 2026

The card - background is mostly patterned paper.  The background pieces were stamped with some random images.  The darker gears and chain piece are die cut.  Add some bling to the centers of the gears and a stamped birthday sentiment to the background.

Lots of chores to do this morning.  Somehow I've been crafting and not really keeping up with the chores!  Shame on me :)    I'll try to make up for it this morning!  Looking forward to a nice  relaxing afternoon with the Needle Keepers though!

Have a wonderful day!

Project Sunday - finished another Melt the Ice hat.  This one went to my cousin in California!  Would like to start another one, but it's getting hard to find nice red yarn :(

Off to church this morning and then I'm hoping to have enough ambition this afternoon to work on the basket I started the other day.

Have a wonderful day!
