he card - the background is patterned paper.  I made the frame by cutting two different sizes of rectangle die cuts together.  The flowers are stamped on a seperate piece and then die cut.  The greenery behind the flowers is die cut from solid colored card stock.  

Was hoping to get some yard work done this morning, but I think it's too wet from the rain last night.  Oh well, it can wait for another day.  Looking forward to some adult conversation with the Needle Keepers ladies this afternoon!

It's my usual day for 'Grandma time' with  Ethan, but he has a dentist appointment later so his Mom won't be bringing him until after his appointment.  So, I'm trying to catch up on some chores this morning.

The card - this is the same die cut/embossing folder set (SU) that I used to make all those Christmas cards that I posted the other day.  So, it's not just for Christmas!  I used the embossing folder for the background, then embossed another one and die cut the image out and popped it up on top.  The middle piece is die cut, heat embossed, matted and popped up.  The small leaves are punched out of a variety of colors and tucked under the smaller panel.  I love this new stamp/folder/die cut set - it would make pretty summer cards too!

Off to the eye Dr this morning.  Getting checked out for upcoming Cataract surgery!  Looking forward to an afternoon with the Needle Keepers and knitting with friends!

Project Sunday - trying to figure out what to do for my Christmas  cards this year.  Which one do you like the best?    They really are all much better in real life - this is not a good photo!   And I might even come up with a couple more ideas today!

Project Sunday - ah, finally a completed project!  Finished this fall pillow just in time to put it on the spare bed.  

A little break from kiddos today.  A trip to the grocery store, a nice long walk and putting fertilizer on the lawn - that's my plan for this morning.  Then I'm hoping to spend some time in the stamp room!

Well, can't say I was very productive yesterday.  A last minute call to keep Ethan sort of changed my plans for the day!  I was almost sure he had Chicken Pox when I saw his rash, but turned out he has Hand-foot-mouth disease.  Poor kid.  Guess it's a fairly common thing with Daycare kids :(   So, he will be with me all next week instead of daycare.  At least so far he hasn't felt too bad.   

Today I will have some Grandma time with both kids while Jeff plays golf.  We can only hope that Hudson stays well!

The birthday boy.....1st birthday!   A great day and a fun overnight!  Now it's on to a day of stamping - hoping I'll be productive, but mostly looking forward to a day with friends!

Happy Fall.....it's getting cooler, the leaves are changing in the mountains of Colorado and the days  are shorter (or at least there's less time of daylight - the only part I don't like!)

Today is Ethan's birthday!  Can't believe he's a year old! Family birthday celebration tonight, so I'm off to clean and cook. I get a bit of extra goodness since the boys will spend the night tonight - yay!

Well, yesterday didn't turn out quite as expected!  My washing machine died....had to go buy a new one, they can't deliver it til Friday, so ended up spending some time at the Laundromat.  Oh my, haven't been in one of those in over 40 years.  It was pretty quick and painless though.  Just not how I had planned on spending my day!  Today, I'm off to get groceries and birthday stuff for Ethan's birthday on Saturday!  Can't believe it's been a year!  How time flies.....

My 'normal' schedule kind of bit the dust already this week!  Ethan is under the weather so they didn't want to send him to day care.  Took him for a Covid test yesterday, now we'll just be waiting for the results.  But I will have some extra 'Grandma time' this week and that's ok with me!

The card - background is a strip of white with a die cut border added to the top and bottom.  The leaves are stamped directly on the background piece.  To get the mix of color on the leaves, I inked the stamp with yellow (Bumblebee) and then used a dauber to add a bit of rust (Cajun) here and there to the inked stamp before stamping.
