Another sunset. I took this from my front step last week.

Class this morning and again tonight - errands in between. Lots to get done before leaving Saturday!

Got a lot of yard work done yesterday and then had a great time at Stamp Club with Deb last night. She did some awesome cards - thanks Deb!

Enjoy your day.

Another card I did on Friday night. I really thought this one was fun. Sorry the picture is a little out of focus - but you get the idea.

I am doing the "happy dance" today! For those of you who have followed my vacation lodging saga - Tracy called last night and said we now have a room for all 5 nights! (this is a definite improvement over only having a room for the first 3 nights) And.........this room is inside the park - and close to where Tracy is!!!! Oh yea!

Today is a yard work day. (as soon as it warms up a little, anyway) What's up with this "cold" stuff in June? It's down right chilly this morning.

Have a great day!

Sunday, June 8, 2008

This is one of the cards I made Friday night - kind of fun and funky.

Today will be spent getting card kits done for classes this week. Lots of cutting and bagging. I am on a mission this week to get everything caught up, organized, and all the yard work done before I go on vacation!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Saturday, June 7, 2008

This is another layout we did in Scrap Class in May and I just added the pictures.
Deb came over last night and we stamped for about 7 hours - well, there was a little break in there for a yummy Chinese dinner. But we both accomplished a lot - I got 8 cards done! Yipee!
Hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Friday, June 6, 2008

Just a simple card today. I didn't add a greeting on this one - I've found I needed a couple of cards lately that weren't "birthday" so decided I would add a greeting to it later if needed.

I worked hard yesterday and managed to get most of the cards done for classes that start next week. Yipee! Well, I still have one more to make and then the cutting and bagging, but still.........

Have a great day!

Thursday, June 5, 2008

Another card with those lovely "swiss dots". I'm trying to use up some scraps of printed paper and this card is the perfect thing for that.

A cold and drizzling day. I'm thinking it's a perfect day to stay indoors and stamp. (I'm not too upset that I can't do yard work today) Or I probably need to start working on cards for classes next week. Hum....... decisions, decisions. As soon as I warm up I'll figure out which direction my day is going.

Have a happy day!

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

This is for Bretina. She keeps saying I post too many cards and not enough scrapbook pages. I keep telling her it's a matter of time - cards are just so much faster to make! This is one of the layouts we did last month in scrap class - I just added the pictures the other day. Thank goodness for scrap class!

Today is errand day - haircut, bank, and other fun stuff. Class again tonight. Another full day.

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

This is one of the cards I did on Sunday. I have decided I need to dig out some of my older stamps - I saw this card online and decided to give it a try. Something a little different.

I have a lot of cutting to do today for a class project tomorrow night. Didn't get nearly as much done yesterday as I had planned.

Happy stampin'

Monday, June 2, 2008

This is the layout I did last Friday. Very simple - not sure why it took me all night to do it! I think I take way too many pictures - it takes me longer to figure out which pictures to use than to put the page together.

I had a very productive day yesterday - got the class projects together for tonight and tomorrow night's classes - put pictures on the two layouts from last month's scrapbook class - got three cards done - and went out to dinner with friends! Yea! Wish every day was as productive. Today I have to get Wednesday night's class project finished. Busy, busy, busy!

Have wonderful day!

Sunday, June 1, 2008

Here is another card I did in my flurry of card making a while back. I realized this morning that I'm running out of new things to share - I guess that means I had better get some new things made, huh? I have spent most of my time this week getting projects ready for classes and I haven't taken time to just play. Oh no! Maybe later today after I get the kits ready for tomorrow night's class.

Hope your weekend is going well.

Photo Day! When I was out pulling weeds the other day I noticed just a few roses starting to bloom. After all the work of trimming those darn things the first sign of a beautiful flower is a welcome thing!

I worked hard at scrapbooking last night - but I must have been moving really slow because I only managed to get one 2-page layout done - and it was a really simple one! Go figure. But it's one more group of pictures that is done so that's a good thing. And besides it was just nice to spend time with Emily & Sherry. (and Sherry & I had a wonderful dinner at Outback - so in my mind the evening was a total success!)

It will be a weekend of working on class projects - I have three classes coming up starting Monday that I am not prepared for yet. Oh my - time to get to work!

Have a great weekend!

Friday, May 30, 2008

Another card. I know, I need to get some more scrapbook pages done. Hopefully tonight - my friends Emily & Sherry are coming over so I'm sure that is going to motivate me!

Yard work yesterday morning, then I spent the rest of the day and evening trying to get class projects done. Not having much luck with that - I wasn't pleased with anything I did. Back to the drawing board today.

Have a wonderful day!

Thursday, May 29, 2008

I can't believe it's Thursday already. My days are going by much too fast. I was a total slacker yesterday and didn't get much done. So now I'm looking at a lot of things I want to do and a lot more things I need to do. I guess today I better go with some of things I need to do. (translate that into yard work and class projects)

This is another one of the cards I did with the fun pinwheel fold.

Hope you are having a great week.

Wednesday, May 28, 2008

This is a card my stampin' friend Judy S shared with us at our Shoebox Club last week. I loved this layout - Thanks Judy!

After a day of nothing but paper work yesterday I am ready for a change today. Even yard work sounds good! (well, maybe not good, but better than paper work) Not sure what direction I'm headed today, but there's lots to be done so I will be busy.

Happy stampin'

Tuesday, May 27, 2008

I'm getting my money's worth from this stamp set - so many different layouts to use it on. I rather liked this one that I saw on-line and it was a bit different.

More yard work yesterday - I got the mess cleaned up from trimming the bushes and pulled a lot of weeds. Note to self - do not water right before pulling weeds - yuk - mud!

Today I have a ton of paper work that needs to be done and a class tonight. I am looking forward to class but not the paper work!

Happy stampin'

Monday, May 26, 2008

Simple, but rather elegant, don't ya think? I actually dug out the ol' embossing gun and embossed the white flowers. I love the way embossing looks - not sure why I don't do it more often.
A whole day of yard work yesterday! I got all the bushes trimmed up and the big trees out front - Jeff trimmed the tops for me before he went golfing. I do have to go back out today and clean up the trimmings - I was so tired when I got done that I left the mess.
I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!
Happy stampin'

Sunday, May 25, 2008

Here are a couple of the layouts I got done the last time I was scrappin' - seems like it was a long time ago - I really need to spend more time scrappin'! I have a hard time with Disney pages these days - I've done so many of them I am running out of ideas. This one is rather simple - (wow - I even used just plain ol' white paper for the background!) But, it worked, and now those pictures are done.

Not sure what happened to my day yesterday - I decided it was too cool to do yard work (yeah, I know, just another excuse) But I did get a birthday present made and went to dinner with Jeff. Even got a card done last night. But today I MUST get out and get the trees in front trimmed so Jeff can finish the top part that I can't reach before he leaves tomorrow.

Happy scrappin'

Saturday, May 24, 2008

More cards - I got a lot of cards made this last week, so I have a lot to share with you. (Don't worry, Bretina, I do have some scrapbook pages too!)
Alison showed us how to make this cool pinwheel flower at Shoebox on Tuesday night. I just thought it was fun to do and something different. Thanks Alison! It's made with the small SU tag punch. This is one of the cards I did with it.
Some fun news for me - my son Jeff is moving back to Grand Junction! I am very excited about that - and he is very excited about his new job.
I hope you all are having a great Memorial Day weekend!
Happy stampin'
(I did 2 posts today, so scroll down to see more pictures from the iris farm.)
I am doing 2 different posts today. I just had to share some more of the flower pictures from the iris farm. They are just sooooo pretty!

Friday, May 23, 2008

I was so glad I worked hard on Wednesday and got all my chores done because it allowed me to take a "play day" yesterday. Judy S, Diane and I had a 3-in-one day yesterday - a field trip to an iris farm, lunch and scrapbook shopping!

Our first stop was at Willow Bend Farm - an iris farm, a place I didn't even know existed and it's right up the road from me! What beautiful flowers.

Judy needed a piece of paper that she could only get in Delta so.........yes, indeed, we drove to Delta for one piece of paper. (but of course we came home with more than that!) It was lunch time so we also got to eat at our favorite place in Delta.

What a great day! Food, fun, scrapbook shopping, beautiful flowers, tons of photos and spending time with friends - the best of times!!!!!

Have a great day!

What the heck is up with this weather? One day the temp is 90, the next day it's 60. Now this morning it's cold and raining. Geez.

This is another one of the cards I did during my marathon card making day. I pretty much copied the whole thing from one I saw out there in blog land. Some of you will probably see this same layout popping up in card class.

Happy stampin'

Wednesday, May 21, 2008

I had a card making day yesterday. It went pretty well, I liked some better than others - but what can you expect. This is one of the cards I did. Please ignore the imperfections - I had just re-inked my ink pad and the "enjoy" came out a little blotchy, then I got my hole punch too close to the edge and it left a "dent". But you get the idea. I will have to redo this one before I send it to anyone.

Today I will be spending the day getting ready for a project class tomorrow night. All those pieces to measure and cut! (not my favorite part of teaching classes!)

Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, May 20, 2008

Here is one of the layouts I did last Friday. I am really into simple these days! I have sooooo many pictures to scrapbook that simple is working for me right now. I am also finding it harder to work with so many pictures that are closeups - can't crop much, so don't have much room on the page for anything but pictures. But, I guess the pictures are supposed to be the important part, right?

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, May 19, 2008

Monday morning - again! It's the beginning of a busy week for me so I have to be diligent and stick to my schedule.

Here is a layout I did a while back. I don't usually mess with enlarging photos, but I liked this layout I saw in a book and thought I'd try it. I don't get to use flowers on my pages very often either, so this was a fun page to do.

Woo hoo! I finished trimming the rose bushes yesterday! I'm glad that job is done! Now a couple of big weed patches to clean up and the spring clean-up will be done!

A note: sorry about the picture from yesterday. I didn't realize it was out of focus until after I had already posted it. The card is actually much prettier than it looked!

Happy scrappin'

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Here is another card I did with the swiss dots embossing folder. Very simple, but I like the look.
Not sure what my plans are for the day. I have so many things to get done this week that I'm not sure where to start. I think I'll try for some yard work this morning, then work on class stuff this afternoon.
Happy stampin'

No stampin', just paper. This is another one of the cards I did the other day when I was playing hooky. Simple, but rather pretty I thought.

Ah ha - I got the rest of the flowers planted yesterday! And sprayed weeds and got the lawn watered. Yea! Then my buddy Kim came over last night and I got 3 - 2 page scrapbook layouts done. I'm hoping to get a little more scrapbooking done this afternoon.

Have a great weekend!

Friday, May 16, 2008

Ok, I have to admit I played hooky yesterday. I found yet another excuse not to work in the yard (the weather was bad! Well, it was!) and I ended up playing in my stamp room making cards. I had to run some errands yesterday morning and decided to check out HL - I have been looking for the pin dot embossing folder forever - they had it! And it was 30% off! Yea! So, I just had to play with it, right? Here is one of the cards I did.

Today I really am going to get the rest of the flowers planted. Honest!

Thursday, May 15, 2008

Good morning. I used a Becky Higgins sketch for this layout. I'm still not sure I'm comfortable with all the blank space, but I love the colors.

The weather is throwing a kink in my plans for the day - at least for now. It's amazing how my days revolve around the weather - especially this time of year. Hopefully it will warm up and the sun will come out this afternoon - I still have flowers to plant. (and there's still more rose bushes waiting to be trimmed) So I guess I will get some things done inside this morning and see what the afternoon brings.

Happy scrappin'

Photo day. I love sunsets! And one of the things I love about my house is I have an unobstructed view of the sunset each evening from my living room window. This was the sunset last night.

The UPS guy delivered several boxes of goodies last night just as my class ended. Now I have some fun new stuff to play with and will hopefully have some new class projects done soon.

Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

A dreary, cold morning! What happened to our sunny, spring weather? I'm glad I had no outside plans for today. Class this morning and another class this evening - maybe some stamping in between? I'm running out of new cards to share so I need some stamping time and today might be the day!

A simple birthday card today. I love blue & green together and this layout was just quick and fun.

Happy stampin'

Monday, May 12, 2008

Good morning! I hope everyone had a good weekend. I thought I would share another scrapbook page today. Seems I've been doing mostly cards lately. Haven't scrapbooked in a couple of weeks - that is not good.

Need to finish up the class stuff today and get laundry done.

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Mother's Day!

This is a card I actually copied from myself! I used this layout in class so it will look familiar to some of you. Different paper, ribbon and stamp but I liked the way it came out!
It is supposed to be a beautiful day today - lots of sunshine and temps in the 80's. I have more flowers to plant and then I will be spending the rest of the day working on cards for class. Alas, my creativity just wasn't working yesterday - I only got one card done. So......... today I need to get the other 5 cards done!
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

Saturday, May 10, 2008

Just a simple card today. I used a layout that my
stampin' friend Roni used at one of our Stamp Club meetings. Thanks Roni!

I had a productive day yesterday - got the patio flowers planted and the patio all cleaned up. Yea! I still have to do the planters out front but I will get that done tomorrow. Today I must get cards done for classes that start next week!

Hope your weekend is off to a good start!

Happy stampin'

Friday, May 9, 2008

Do you ever have days when things just don't seem to go right? I had one of those yesterday. Nothing terrible, just annoying I guess. I threw my favorite gardening shovel in the ditch by mistake, (it's gone - never to be seen again!) the handle keeps falling off my pruning sheers and the weather didn't cooperate long enough for me to finish what I had wanted to get done. Darn! The worst part was I was trying to make some cards last night and no matter what I tried it just wasn't working. Oh well, on to another day!

This is a card I made several weeks ago. I liked the colors with the kraft background.

I am taking a break from trimming rose bushes today - I still have 12 left to do, but I think they will just wait for a few more days. I am off this morning to buy flowers for my planters and the patio.

Happy Stampin'

Thursday, May 8, 2008

A happy Thursday to you all.

This is another layout from scrap class. I really am enjoying doing this class - and it certainly motivates me to get pages done! Now I have to get pictures on the pages we did in class last week.

Another day of yard work .......boy will I be glad when this spring cleanup stuff is done!

Happy scrappin'

Wednesday, May 7, 2008

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I am procrastinating this morning. I have planned a day of yard work - more rose bushes to trim and weeds to pull - but I'm trying to work up the energy to get started. I was actually hoping it would rain and give me an excuse to stay indoors (darn - no rain!)
This is a card I did a while ago. I copied it from somewhere (can't remember where) I did the same card in several different colors, but this was one of my favorites. Is there actually 7 layers of paper on this card? Yep, I guess there is.
Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday, May 6, 2008

A guy card - these tend to be a bit of a challenge for me. I don't have that many "guy" stamps and it seems like I've used what I have over and over. This was an old stamp cube that I found in my drawer and figured I could do something with it - this is what I came up with. (believe it or not I didn't even copy this one!)

Last night was Scrap Class and it was so enjoyable. Those ladies are such fun! Darilyn showed us the twenty some pages she got done at a marathon NSD crop - now that was inspiring. You go girl!

Happy stampin'

Monday, May 5, 2008

Good morning! I hope your week is off to a good start. I'm moving a little slow this morning - maybe because I know how much stuff I need to do today and I'm dragging my feet, not sure where to start.

This is one of the pages I finished Saturday night. It is another one of my class layouts that just needed pictures.

Happy scrappin'

Sunday, May 4, 2008

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend. I hope all you scrapbookers out there got lots of scrapping done yesterday for National Scrapbooking Day. My friends Bretina and Lauren came over last night to crop. Great night! Dinner at Munchies (LOVE their hamburgers!) then a full night of scrapping. They kept me up way past my normal bedtime - but I did get some pages done so it was worth it.

This card is one Deb did for Stamp Club a couple weeks ago. I really liked this card and made several more to have on hand for birthdays.

Enjoy your day!

Saturday, May 3, 2008

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

This is one of the new class projects I am doing in May. It is a 6 x 6 book I did with 7 Gypsies paper & some of the new Theresa Collins paper.

Have a great weekend! Happy Scrappin'

Friday, May 2, 2008

Good Friday morning! I had such a fun day yesterday. My friend Judy and I went to Delta for lunch and stopped at Dalene's scrapbook store - A Scrapbooker's Dream. Dalene is just the sweetest person, I love stopping to see her and she always has something new to see. I am a paper junkie (as most of you know) and I wasn't disappointed, she had some fun new stuff for me. So I did my part for stimulating the economy yesterday and brought home more paper to play with.

We added a drive to Montrose to our trip - Carl & Diane of Crafty Lady are going out of business and yesterday was the first day of their liquidation sale. Everything was 30% off - so I did a little more economy stimulation and have even more cool paper, some matching brads and rubons to add to my collection.

The fun didn't end there because we had Stamp Club with Roni last night. Roni always has great projects for us - the one pictured here is just one of the cards we did last night.

So it was a totally wonderful, fun day. Now I need to do errands today and get to work on some class projects.

Happy May Day! Snow??? Yep, snow - in May. Go figure. It was blowing and snowing this morning when I got up. Looked more like January than May. I can remember times it has snowed in April, but I don't ever remember it snowing in May. But, it's Colorado, so you just never know. It does seems odd to go from temps in the 80's one day to snow two days later.

Here's another one for ya, Tracy. This is another non-flowery card I did last weekend.

After two days of yard work and a day of housecleaning I am taking a fun day today. My friend Judy S and I are taking a trip to Delta for lunch and a stop at the scrapbooking store.

Have a great day everyone!
